How can I num num on my boba when the first two times I went there was no boba to num num on???? There was so much hype about Num Num Boba on IG and I'm disappointed with the outcome and experiences I've had with them. I've been here 4 times and I guess after my 4th time I decided to write a review. 1st and 2nd Experience - Num Num boba literally ran out of boba during a mid day shift. 3rd and 4th Experience - The consistency of my boba was not there. Some were soft, some were hard, and some I could not even chew because they ended up getting stuck together and would not go up the straw. I've had to rip open the lid and eat my boba with a spoon. But at that point I was so sad I just threw away my drink. Customer service is okay. But I think they should retrain their employees and rethink about the quality of drinks they are selling. Especially, since the demographic of Reno is changing and people who are not from Reno have a higher expectation of boba quality. read more

The boba drinks are a definite hit and probably the best boba we've found in Reno so far. They've got multiple different drink types to choose from varying from fruity to sweet and chocolatey. They also have their specialty drinks as well as drink of the month of their board -- yet to try them but I did see them serve it to a few people and it looked absolutely delicious! And can't wait to try them for myself. My only complaint with the drinks would probably be that on occasion, their drinks are inconsistent but even on their worst days, it's still pretty good and satisfying. Probably the best boba I've had in Reno thus far. I'm from Vegas and miss how there's boba spots on every corner with so many diverse options for toppings and drinks. This place definitely will help with my boba cravings and offers what I believe to be the most diverse boba/topping menu in Reno. My friends and I ordered a thai tea with matcha pudding, tiger tea, halo halo, and taro smoothie. I did think the drinks were a bit too sweet, but I won't knock off stars cause that's just my preference; plus, they offer sweetness levels too for those that like their drinks on the less sweet side. This place is super cute! They have in door and outdoor seating. Wish I could have enjoyed my drink there but all seats where taken inside and it was to cold for the outdoor seating. Other then that I really liked this place as they offer non dairy options. I had the Thai milk tea with soy milk and black Bobba. I was staying in North Lake Tahoe and was looking everywhere for a boba spot and came across Num Num. Sure enough, I made the 50 minute trip over and it was worth it! There were a ton of drinks to choose from and I wanted to try every specialty drink they had but decided to go with the Mango sweet rice and Wake up. The mango sweet rice was complete fire! It was delicious from the top down. Every component that went into making the drinks complemented each so well. The coconut milk used really highlighted the mango taste of the drink, first hitting the taste buds with a creamy sweetness then in comes a bit of tartness from the mango. The popping boba also added a really nice touch to the drink. My brother had the wake up drink which included matcha green tea and Thai coffee. After a small sip I immediately was hit with a STRONG taste of the Thai coffee. It was almost equivalent to a small whiff of ammonia because it woke me right up. I almost had trouble sleeping after that sip. Super solid spot if you're in the Reno area! read more

Very friendly service and cute atmosphere. I'm not hugely experienced with boba and the lady at the counter was really patient and had suggestions which was helpful. I ended up getting a lychee fruit tea with boba and it was delicious. The lychee flavor is spot on and the boba are nice, chewy and a little bit sweet. A point worth noting is that you can control the sweetness. When you order you specify 100%, 75%, 50%, 25% or 0% sweetness. I'm not a huge fan of really sweet food or drink so I went 50% and it was great. I might go 25% next time and see what happens. I thought the prices were very reasonable and there is a convenient rewards program if you're into that sort of thing. The selection of flavors is huge so there is definitely something for everyone. The mango coconut sticky rice boba drink was soo good! I was really intrigued on how it was going to taste and it was better than I anticipated. I ordered it at 50% sweetness as I didn't want the sweet to overpower the flavor. I thought it was at the perfect level! And it has the mango popping boba plus regular boba mmmmm. It was perfect- definitely reminded me of the mango coconut sticky rice at Thai restaurants! The girl who helped me was so sweet. I was very excited to try this place because I heard a lot of people saying that it was the best boba place in Reno but I was very disappointed after my first and only experience. I ordered a very basic jasmine green tea with no milk and 50% sugar. When I got my order, I was surprised to see a bright green drink-- something that looked like a green tea latte from Starbucks. I asked one of the people working there if I might have ordered the wrong thing but they assured me it was my green tea without milk. I also ordered egg pudding as a topping but got boba in my drink instead. The drink tasted watered down and very sweet, the boba was very hard, and I didn't get any egg pudding :( I'm not sure if they messed up my order or misheard me, but I was disappointed that I tried to double-check with them but they insisted that that was my order. After leaving, I looked at other pictures on Yelp and saw others order green tea and it looked like the normal iced green tea that you find everywhere else! Happy to have a boba place really close to my place and in NW Reno! I love their interior, and they had a few tables for outdoor seating the last time I was there. They have a variety of popular Asian snacks like Hello Panda cookies, shrimp chips, etc, as well as face masks for sell, too. They have plenty of drink options to choose from. They've consistently had my order perfect! Landed all of their menu offerings and even the staff greet you, repeat your order back and then spit out the drinks quick! Coming here again after a few months and honestly this place is still okay. I got the strawberry vanilla chai with boba and my cousin got the strawberry short cake with boba. Thought I'd bring my cousin here cause she's a huge fan of boba. But like I've said before this place is okay. I love it here!! The ladies that work here are so friendly and helpful. They make suggestions and give samples until they make sure they have the right drink recipe for you. There's so many options to choose from and they're always there to help you make selections. And they easily have some of the best milk tea in town. The flavors are all so fresh and delicious without being too sweet. The milk teas are so smooth and creamy and the strawberry vanilla chai is absolutely to die for. Went here for a Yelp Elite event and was so happy to have discovered this place. The boba is fresh and the combinations are endless. Love that they have bubble waffles too but what was the cherry on top is the fun kids play area that allows me to sit and enjoy my boba while my kiddo plays for a bit. How cool is that? We stop coming here because they are always out of boba around 5 to 6pm. We live so far away and only go to west reno to grab some delicious boba. The team needs to learn to manage the inventory and estimate how much they need til the end of shift. We haven't came back for a couple months. Decided to see today since they close at 8pm. As we steed in we head the worker tell the cashier softly there's no more boba.they don't even announce to the line. I bet not everyone heard it. I like their drinks. Especially the hot rose milk tea. I haven't seen hot milk tea in reno. This was the first one. Well guess we will try again in a few months or just look for another location. So if you want boba. Pretty good boba place especially for Reno. I'm from California, so boba is my coffee lol I literally drink it every morning. I got 4 drinks: pineapple peach fruit tea, pineapple guava fruit tea, mango milk tea, and taro milk tea. It was really nice to be able to mix different flavors and customize your drinks, which not all places offer. The pineapple peach tasted like an unidentified fruit tea. You couldn't really distinguish the flavors. The guava was a great flavor and the taro was good as well. Don't sleep on fruit milk teas! The mango milk tea was probably my favorite! It sounds weird but it's so good! I've worked at a boba shop before so I can tell if the place undercooked, overcooked, or didn't flavor it well enough. This batch tasted average, you couldn't taste the sweetener and the boba was a bit hard. I prefer the lychee jelly which you can never go wrong with :) the pineapple jelly wasn't worth it, because it tasted exactly like the lychee jelly. I came in when there was no line so the drinks were made pretty quickly. The atmosphere was great and trendy and I love how the staff remembered us and handed our drinks to us personally! :) They all wore masks, seating was open, but I assume only for waiting because it's deadly hot outside! This is my go to boba place, the staff is awesome, and the boba is consistently pretty good. Service is also good if you order ahead, and I like when they do special drinks (like the Ukraine fundraiser). The not so good primarily relates to the new points / reward system. Now there's a minimum spend in order to "earn a star" towards a complimentary boba, and it's hard to believe that a single drink, costing close to $6 doesn't meet that spend. Also, the message "you have not spent enough to earn a star" or words to that effect, really sucks and zaps the fun. Management, please change your policies and bring the joy back to boba! read more

Num Num Boba I can tell will be around for a while. They have a vast variety of flavors and toppings as well as unique monthly specials/concoctions. I was unable to try any of their buns due to them not having any today. Sucks but life goes on. Variety of Asian snacks to choose from that will tickle your Asian side just enough. Long story short I got the monthly special (Jasmine tea w/ sea salt cheese foam) gotta day that it's pretty tasty. We also tried the strawberry vanilla chai and I have to say that it's worth it. Unique flavor for any boba aficionado to appreciate. I do have a con that isn't really a deal breaker. The tea was tasty but I really only got a good couple sips out of it before it was done. Way too much ice! This thing was filled to the brim when I got it. When I finished it I still had almost the whole cup full still with ice. Too much ice gets in the way of the topping and greatly decreases my experience when I enjoy a tea. Boba was also a little overcooked for my taste but other than that it was good tea.
