The mango flavor complemented the matcha really well, creating a drink that was both flavorful and satisfying. The drink was beautifully made. It was the perfect pick-me-up, especially on a warm day. I really liked the high mountain oolong tea. They actually used one of those tea brewing machines and I was able to see it brewed in real time. The tea flavor was so strong and so delicious. I definitely recommend getting that if you're a strong tea lover. The matcha was also so so good. It was ceremonial matcha so you can taste the matcha realness. Service was kinda slow just because there was only one worker and she was making a lot of drinks from the order prior, but we were in no rush, so it didn't matter. First time visiting this boba store. The parking is limited and difficult to get out and back in the road. The drink I ordered was a smoothie and it was very watery, not a thick frozen smoothie texture. Flavor was lacking and boba was overcooked and mushy. The sweetness was below average for normal They only have one size. The cup is so tall, that the straw barely sticks out of it an inch, and top heavy with a small base. They use milk and cream vs nondairy creamer and tea. Not authentic, so just be aware of how you order. Staff was friendly and the store was clean with games you can hang out and play while enjoying your boba. Unfortunately I won't be back, as there are much better boba stores in Reno to enjoy. A great spot for boba and lingering! They have a game area and multiple tables which is nice to welcome people to stay as well as come in. The service was really nice, being available to answer questions and kindly make conversation. I ordered the Okinawa milk tea and am usually worried about my drink being too sweet, but the cashier kindly recommended I keep my drink normal sweetness since they can't really adjust it for the Okinawa without adjusting the flavor.. but she was right! It wasn't too sweet or overwhelming of caffeine either. For the matcha latte. Ignore the tissue over the straw (we had to cover it so my dog wouldn't lick it in the car hahah), but look at the ICE!! Love the ice! The boba however, wasn't too soft, which I usually like for the outside of the boba. But it was firm and my siblings didn't have a problem with it. PARKING in the lot outside is pretty tight and small, especially since there are other businesses next door as well. But there is plenty of street parking around free of charge! To the owners response: We arrived around 7:45 which was not way past the posted time on yelp and apple maps. Then as soon as the clock struck 8 we were interrupted by the owner storming out of her office and proceeding to turn off the lights and tell us to get out extremely rudely and she seems visibly annoyed. I understand emergencies do come up but the attitude was unacceptable. She proceeds contradicts herself in her response by saying "we had enough time to ask for the drink to be remade" mind you we barely had our drinks when we were kicked out so we barely even tasted it. This was all exactly at 8PM by the way which is their printed time on both yelp and apple maps. She lied saying we were way past closing. What would have been the proper solution was to just politely ask us to leave because there was an emergency, that was the main reason why my initial review was even posted. There is no need to provide information about the emergency. I was a regular and have enjoyed this place many times in the past and I understand businesses have bad days and/or it was too late. In the end this could have been handled was differently and we would have given the place the benefit of the doubt but due to the attitude even through yelp and the lies i stand firmly with my review and hope others take consideration. read more

TLDR: May be the best milk tea in Reno now.... Ding Tea used to be the king of milk teas in Reno. But alas the king has fallen. I'll be updating my review of that place, but this is about Raretea! Raretea is a franchise, and it's all over the Bay Area, where I'm from, so I don't think it's that special. Dispirited over finding any good milk tea here in Reno, we decided to give this one a try again. Hey, it's pretty good! I ordered my usual Fruit tea, since I'm lactose-unfriendly. With the lowest possible sugar, 33%, the tea had a pretty strong flavor! There is some mango jelly in there to sweeten it up a little bit. But it basically tasted like the refreshing fragrant green tea that I'm used to. My wife was similarly impressed with her usual: Black Milk tea (0 Ice, 0 sugar). She could also taste the tea flavor quite well. And the milk was creamy and a bit sweet. Staff were super nice. I didn't ask the name of the girl who took my order, but she was friendly and offered me suggestions on how to modify my order properly. The place has a relaxing vibe as well. It's not dingy. There are some games to play while you wait or just to hang. Great place! Best of all, it's in its own store so you don't have to walk through a food court or another restaurant. I've attempted to purchase drinks from this location twice. Both times I've been told they have run out of the tapioca boba. The first time I arrived at 7:30pm and knew that they closed at 8 so I understood. Today I walked in at 7 (one hour before closing) and they told me they had ran out again. I confirmed with the cashier if closing time today was 8 and he said yes. He said that "if they make a larger batch they just end up with a lot of left over". I tried the Strawberry Berry Snow Cream, my wife had the Roasted Oolong, my daughter had a Thai Tea and my other child had an Okinawa Milk Tea. My tea was delicious, flavorful and refreshing. My wife needed to add a bit of sweetener to her Oolong. No complaints. Ruth held it down and did an amazing job taking care of the 12 customers she had while we were there. All taken care of with professionalism and grace! RareTea today had a quite chill atmosphere, no background music, but customers could be seen playing Chess, we got in a few rounds of Jenga and other patrons were playing Connect 4.
