I've been going to this salon for about 4 months. Only one of the workers does a nice job. However, the last fill I got looked terrible and as I was getting it done I noticed a tiny green spot on my thumb. The nail lady said it's totally normal so I got the fill. About a week and a half after it my thumb acrylic fell off and my nail looked terrible. I went to the salon and showed it to them. I have been back several times since my first review, and I'm still just as pleased. Each time I'm in I get a different one of the staff for my pedicure, but there is a consistency between techniques of the ladies there- which is really comforting since most salons vary so wildly between staff members ability and technique. There's actually plenty of parking too, if you go to the right of the mini mart there's more spaces, I've been on some super busy days and never had to turn away or wait due to a lack of spots. And once more, I'd really like to reiterate their color options! Soooo many choices, a huge variety of colors and sparkles.... And it's not just a variety of reds and pinks, but greens, purples, orange, blue...! Literally almost anything you could want. Their hygiene, esp when treating a wound on a pedicure or acrylic nail set is in fact up to WA state code. I am a nationally licensed cosmetologist, and have seen a few incidents (they happen!! Feet are wound magnets sometimes) where the girls handled the wound professionally, and with every effort to keep the client comfortable. They obviously never intend for that to happen but in a nail salon it is just the way it is. If you're in pain or uncomfortable, tell your nail tech- they can help! It's their job! And the owner Hong is always there, speak to her!!! All in all, I still drive here everytime I need a pedicure, all the way from Seattle. And even when I think of going to a closer place... After years of searching, I've finally found a local nail salon that delivers to my high expectations of being clean and friendly while doing impeccable nail work. I usually have a shellac color change, pedicure and brow wax. I was impressed with how large of a selection of shellac polishes they offer...more than any nail salon I've been to! My nails are always painted evenly and never chip or peel. I usually go back within 2-3 weeks for a color change because my nails have grown out. They always do a fantastic job with my brows as well! -1 star for having made appointments and being asked to wait 10-20 minutes. They do the shapes I ask for and they have lots of colors to choose from. They got me into doing shellac which made the color last waaaaay longer than usual and always stays looking fresh. I always walk out happy. Their acrylics last a long time; mine can last longer than a month without falling off but of course it gets grown out. TOUCH UPS: they fill it correctly and glue the gap beneath the nail. The owner helped me save time by persuading me to get a fill instead of removing the acrilycs and getting them on again. 1st time, I got squoval shape, 2 weeks later, they turned it into almond shape, then 2 weeks after that, I took it off and got coffin shape. i'm quite new to Renton and I had a morning without my daughter so I decided to walk to this nail salon because it was right down the street for me. It was Open for about 30 minutes maybe 40 minutes tops when I had walked in and it was already a little bit busy. I ended up waiting probably about 30 minutes before I was actually seated. I was in a good mood that morning so the wait wasn't a problem. There was an older woman that had came in maybe 15 minutes after me who was a little bit upset about the wait so she was actually seated before me. I'll be honest I was a little upset about it but like I said I was having a good morning so I let it go and the ladies there were very nice and polite about the wait. I finally sat down and they finally begin to give me a new set of acrylics. About maybe a quarter of the way through I realize she was using the pink powder instead of the white powder Like I normally get. She had already put it on and I didn't even see any white powder on her station so I assumed that this was the norm for the salon. My nails look the way I wanted them to look and I was satisfied. When I asked how much it was going to be I was shocked when she said $45 instead of the 35 I had read on their website. I have thought it was because I used to different polishes or I had just read it wrong. So I paid for my nails and I also got my eyebrows done which they did a great job on. Unfortunately only a few days later my nails are starting to lift from the side from where she let the gel set on my actual skin instead of the nails. Every time I wash my hair it gets caught on that gel piece that has lifted from my skin. Not only that but I looked on the website again and realize the pink said it was 45 and the regular acrylic was 35. I don't know a lot about nails but I don't appreciate being given the most expensive product without being asked or consented about it. But not only that the nails are already lifting only a few days after. All the employees in there were very respectful and nice and I felt welcome but I don't believe that's the type of business that should be being done to make an extra dollar. I usually enjoy getting my nails done. I called earlier in the morning and made an afternoon appointment. I was extremely disappointed after I sat down. I usually get my toes done first, that way they have time to dry while I'm getting my nails done. However on this day they had several pedicures come in so she did my nails first. I told him in the very beginning that I wanted to do a deluxe pedicure but I had to go get my kids from school and we had an appointment so I had to leave by a certain time. After trying to squeeze extra people in I ended up only having time to get a regular pedicure. The girl who did my pedicure was really nice she didn't talk much but she did a good job. I picked black polish for my shellac. The black was not sticking and was all bubbly. She tried to fix it twice by painting over and the other time buffing it off and painting over but couldn't seem to fix it. So she asked me to take do another color. Cool, I don't mind. I decided to do a French tip. Very cute, even white tips. I liked it. HOWEVER, she didn't remove all the black polish and my nails looks kind of dirty. Bring your patience! I walked in for a brow wax and pedicure. They got me in right away for the wax, and then sat me at a pedicure station for well over 30 minutes. Twice, technicians started to set up at my station and were sent to do manicures instead. Came here for a last minute need to get my nails done for a wedding and my engagement shoot. I was really happy they were able to accommodate me the day I called in for an appointment that day. However, I deeply regret coming here. I came and asked for the dipping nail treatment where they use powder for the "nail polish." What I ended up with were very uneven nail color that looked so sloppily done that even my fiancé noticed... and he never notices my nails lol. When I pointed out a weird speck/bubble on my ring finger, the lady brushed it off. That may not have been a big deal usually for me, but I was having an engagement shoot that weekend as well so I was pretty disappointed and I also did not want to stay any longer cause I didn't trust her in being able to make it right because all of my nails looked so sloppy. Had appointment for a fill for my mom but they forgot and didn't even care to give her the mood changing shellac colors after her asking 5 times. I walked in on a Sunday for mani/pedi. There was too much sanding down near my nail bed so that it gave my acrylics a very rounded, artificial look... Then after I left, I noticed that the nails on my left hand were longer than my right hand. I told myself they didn't look too bad but even my mom commented on how unnatural they looked. I'm torn. The girls that did my shellac mani/pedi were suuuuuuuuper nice & I really liked them a lot. But, here is where I'm torn haaha, my shellac manicure is now peeling, bubbling up, and chipping not even less than a week later. And the paint on my big toes & baby toes on my pedi were smudged and not dried either. I have a feeling both of these were due to rush jobs b/c the salon was super busy and understaffed that day. This was my first time there, and they were so nice, I'd give them another shot but if they mess up again then shame on them. Lost a regular! I've come in several times, Sometimes 2x a month, sometimes more. The ladies doing the nails for pedicures are awful. I've left w major heel exfoliating that left me unable to walk for a week because of the shredding, raw and bloody sides of my feet. They do not push the cuticles down and only paint 3/4 of a toe. Which makes you come back in a week. The attitudes given are dispicable for customer service. I'm not sorry you can't understand english, I'm not sorry it's a waste of your time to fix the nail you did not do right the first time. I am not sorry you are loosing our buisness. And hair cuts.....damn! I wish I could use every curse word known to man right now, but I have a bit more class and won't stoop. My husband got a cut yesterday that left him w welts and abrasions from clippers being pressed into his scalp. More then once my hair cut has been awful. Get someone in there that understands English and who can ask in ENGLISH if this is being done rt. My god. When a customer leaves in tears because what pride in hair they have left after medical treatments is hacked off and directions not followed, you loose that customer. Eyebrows Do not get them done there. Too short, too thin, rushed, skin torn off, and you walk away feeling like a burden. Poor poor customer service. I would give negative stars if I could. Each of the technicians have been friendly and professional during my visits. If you are going in for a gel (shellac) manicure, be sure to look at the color wheel of options. Regular polish is bountiful - check out the wall to the right of the entrance and a few other shelves near the front and the table near the manicure stations to the left. I appreciate the punch card that is redeemable for an eyebrow, upper lip or chin wax during your 5th visit for shellac, pink & white, manicure, spa pedicure, waxing, facial or lash extension. Incentives to return are always good with me. They are also open 7 days a week and close later than most salons. I decided to get a pedi while on vacation in Washington. After reading Yelp reviews and talking to friends I decided to give Number One Nail Pro a try. I called the day before and spoke with Hong. I asked if appointments were necessary or if my friend and I could just walk in. She told me that either one was fine but if we walked in we may have to wait 10-15 minutes and if we made an appointment we would not have to wait. So we arrived at the salon just 1 or 2 minutes after our appointment time (which in my opinion is not too late) and it turns out we had to wait anyway. All of their chairs were taken (and would have been even if we came in 2 minutes before) and the woman at the front confirmed our 1030am appointment and told us to pick our colors and wait. My friend had to wait 23 minutes and I had to wait 27 minutes before we were called. The person who did my pedi did not speak English so just kept tapping my leg when she wanted me to take one of my feet out of the water. It seemed like she literally rushed through my entire pedi. It took her less than 2 minutes to cut/file my nails and push back/trim my cuticles on BOTH feet! She was kind of rough and just yanked and pullled my foot in every direction. Maybe she was nervous since I initially tried having a conversation with her before I found out she didn't speak any English. She did a much better job massaging than she did cutting and filing my nails. In fact I could have done a better job cutting and filing them. In the end I guess you get what you pay for. I'm used to $60 1+ hour long pedis at L'mour Nails Pearlridge and this was just $20. read more

Based on other reviews, they were supposed to be very good... and lived up to these expectations! I came in for a full set, french tips. They did an amazing job with my extremely brittle and painful nails that I came in with. No pain and now my nails look good as new. The owner is amazing as well. While the workers are super sweet, clearly some are not fluent in English and it shows. The woman who gave me my pedicure didn't understand that I wanted an Ultimate Pedicure. I ended up with a Deluxe - first world problems, I know. Then she didn't understand that I wanted the mud mask and NOT the paraffin wax. 4 chattering girls later, the mother hen - aka the Owner - stepped in and asked what I wanted -- all in flawless English. The girl who did my toes was a bit clip happy with the nail cutters and I do have very sensitive toes. She cut them fairly close to the quick, which made me flinch. However, because the girl didn't speak English, it was hard to convey how uncomfortable I was feeling with her rapid clipping. Would I come here again? First time my card was run twice, but a receipt didn't print and the transaction was canceled although my account had two pending charges, owner still wanted cash and thankfully my friend had cash to loan me. I ended up having to call my bank when the two pending charges went through. Second time, I felt I got glaring looks from two employees and the owner. Why? I don't know. There was 3 people including myself and someone in the hair section. I mean, my legs weren't shaved and I was getting a pedicure so maybe that's why?? The only one who didn't glare at me was the one doing my service. And I'm not sure if they went up on prices but the classic pedicure is $25 and I thought shellac polish was $15, but I was charged $42. ****i did not have shellac polish when I came in so the extra $2 should not have been added. So... Yeah it doesn't add up right? I didn't appreciate the ugly looks today and the extra $2 charged (unless prices did change then whatever) and my shellac polish began lifting around the edges after two days. I called ahead to see if they had time to do a full set and they said they would write me in for 11 a.m.; 30 minutes away. When I got there, the tech was ready for me and I sat down and she got to work. They got kinda busy as she was doing my nails but I didn't feel she was rushing to get through me. I got pretty short acrylics because I am really active and I work at a hardware store for crying out loud. But I love them! She made them the perfect length and rounded the corners a little for me! This was my first time ever getting my nails done at a salon so I didn't have any other experience to compare it too. My overall experience was great, the lady that did my manicure was very nice & talked to me the whole time. The lady who gave me a pedicure was the opposite, no conversation but she was still nice. One of my friends wasn't too happy with her gel manicure. The green glitter nail polish she picked out didn't have much glitter like the sample. When she told the lady, she was ignored. Not totally impressed by this salon. People were very nice. Pedicure was economical but the time was not a positive. There was 4 nail technicians working and there was 10 clients in the Salon. I was a walk in appointment 1 1/2 hours before they were to close, but we were not seated or started until 5pm. That is the reason for one of my stars being taken off. The other reason is the location. It is attached to a gas station. There were only 4 parking spots and I was not even sure that it was the right place until I drove by it.
