As Florida "reopens" for business, I am going to focus on sanitation protocols, the availability of hand sanitizer, the wearing of masks, social distancing, and the like. Nuno's Cafe did everything right. All employees wore masks; there was hand sanitizer available at the entry; the tables were spaced well over 6 feet apart; but, they didn't use paper menus, choosing instead to sanitize the laminated menus between each use. In addition, there was ample outdoor seating, which we opted for. My wife and I started with mimosas; dry for me and sweet for her. They were great on a hot day; and, the sweet dough croquettes that were served complimentary were excellent. For mains, I ordered a 2 Egg, Cheese, and Taylor Pork Roll on a Hard Roll; and, it was excellent. Growing up in New Jersey, my dad would take me to the Oakland Diner for just such a sandwich on the first day of fishing season - I was transported back to my youth! My daughter had the Gorgonzola BLT Burger, which was very good with some very tasty, tender and perfectly cooked fries. My wife had an omelet with exceptional home fries! To go, we ordered a large, entree salad and another burger. My wife and I ate these the next day; and, they were delicious. Service was attentive without being intrusive. I stopped by a few weeks ago by myself for a Friday morning breakfast and was so impressed with how well this tiny place has done. The coffee was tasty and each meal starts with a free sweet fried croquette. I've since been twice with the kids and found the food always super delicious. Yelp 100 Challenge 2017: 26/100 So happy that Avalon park has another Brunch Place to visit! Have I mentioned "brunching" is one of my favorite things in the world? *Not necessarily proud of that, but it's the truth!*. So They open from 7am to 3pm and obviously, they have a breakfast and lunch menu available throughout their operating hours. The few times that we have visited, Juan and I have been received with friendly smiles, attentive service and an "eager-to-please" attitude. I have noticed that most of our servers have to run back to the kitchen and clarify doubts about the menu, but that's not biggie. They give you complementary croquettes topped with powered sugar and a side drizzle of chocolate. Very tasty and warm! If you enjoy a good cup of joe and/or espresso coffee you will be pleased to see that they serve VERY good coffee. Their espresso coffee is Lavazza (A respectable Italian brand) and their brewed, "bottomless" coffee is from Barnie's. Order usually takes around 10-15 minutes, which I think is more than ok and servers constantly top your bottomless coffee. Today I had an Eggs Benedict, which was described as, "All of the above, eggs Benedict with a side of home fries" (In the past I've had their french toast, which I definitely recommend!). I wasn't sure what they meant with "all of the above" and asked the server, which gave me two different explanations; Still confused, I just asked for eggs Benedict without meat on it, but I did ask for a side of Turkey bacon (which is not on the menu, but it's available to order). Juan asked for "Mother's Omelette", which he enjoyed. When my order arrived it have four slices of ham, which I'm not fond off. I politely pointed it out to the server and she immediately said she would make it right. I noticed that they were just "put" there and not ruining anything, so I just said, "Don't worry about it, I'll fish it out" and so I did. I enjoyed my food, although I found it a bit bland... nothing some salt and pepper can't fix! All in all, our food and coffees, with a 20% tip included, didn't even reach $35.00, so we are definitely stopping by more often. read more

Cute little cafe! From the moment you enter you are greeted with a big smile and a warm welcome. We sat down and were surprised with a little sweet snack. It was yummy and fluffy! The menu has a little bit of everything not to mention they have some delicious sounding specials. There is indoor and outdoor seating, we chose indoor. It was the perfect volume inside. Fun fact your coffee will never go empty! These lady's were on top of it! Whistling around making sure everyone was toped off. The food was delicious.
