Chips were pretty dark not sure why. Sandwich was interesting warm, not hot , not cold. I didnt say anything about it. The place was unusually empty. Not ordinary for a friday lunch time. Companions had salads they were satisfied .

Still our go-to spot for casual yet delicious bar food and good drinks! They have something going on almost every day! Bingo on Monday, Trivia on Thursday's, live music on Friday, happy hour, and of course, BRUNCH! Happy hour starts at 3 and brunch on Sunday includes bottomless mimosas OR bloody Mary's!

My husband and I like to support the businesses in Avalon since we live here instead of going to Waterford Lakes. But the staff has been on the decline for over a year. When I call for a today order everyone except one man says "eastside Bistro my name is ...". One man at the bar just says "Hi". I find it extremely awkward. I only ordered one salmon entree but received two, and no steak Caesar salad. And unfortunately the salmon I did wait extra because "the grill was taking too long" was all raw (photo). I wish I knew then before I drove back for the steak Caesar. They will see decline with the Marketplace opening. but ultimately they are hurting themselves. I have never eaten inside, it's cramped and full of drunk people at the bar.

Always a good community place to spend an evening. Food is solid, drinks carry the right punch, and the crew actually knows my name when I walk in (yes, it's a Cheers reference and I own that). Gotta love a good neighborhood watering hole that can actually cook too. If you don't swing by during the festivals, you are missing out.

My family and I go here quite often and it's always really good service. There's a good selection of food and it's always good. I usually get the chicken pasta and I substitute for the shrimp and it was soooo good. I also had one of the burgers and that's as good as well. The pretzels are delicious too. We usually have the server, Bo, and he always go above and beyond! Like if you talking about good service, he is it! I didn't have to ask for a refill, he got us all we needed before even having to ask. The ambiance is great. Sometimes they have a live band playing. We bring our little one and it's not a problem because you can sit on the other side and still enjoy the music. My hubs always get the flatbread which is really good.

My favorite little secret. I bring out of town guests here and they seem to enjoy this cozy, urban bistro. I had the southwest chicken wrap accompanied by a jalapeño ranch sauce. The chicken is fresh, the wrap did not fall apart (bonus points!), and when paired with their house made chips it's an all around great taste. PS There is lotion in the bathroom. I repeat THERE IS LOTION IN THE BATHROOM!!

Came here on a Friday night around 830/9. It wasn't overly crowded and my party of three were able to get a table right away. Our sever came over and took our drink orders. Our drinks came out in a timely matter. After our drinks came out we put an order in for an appetizer. For the appetizer we got Bistro's famous blue cheese chips. Very unique and delicious. House made chips with blue cheese Alfredo, and then topped with tomatoes and onions...finished with a balsamic drizzle. It came in two different sizes, half or whole. The half size was big enough for three people. For my entree I got boom boom shrimp tacos. It came with two tacos and choice of a side. The shrimp had great flavor. I got fries as a side, and they were nice and crispy, but lacking in seasoning. Since it was Friday, there was live music playing. Very talented women singing hits from the early 90's. They got the crowd going! The food was tasty, but service was lackluster. There was more emphasis placed on serving people at the bar than people sitting at the tables. The menu has a lot of variety. Something for everyone. Even gluten free offerings! Prices are reasonable.

Looking for a dog friendly, locally owned and operated restaurant with great food, happy hour, and an awesome Sunday brunch? This place checks all the boxes. Personal favorites are the Art Attack chicken strips (named after owner, Art) and blue cheese chips. For vegetarians, their veggie burger is superb (if you want to make it vegan, just ask your server to remove the sauce). The avocado toast offered during Sunday brunch is also a must try as well as their bottomless mimosa and/or Bloody Mary bar where you pick from an assortment of add-ins. Also great happy hour drink specials during the week as well as daily events/specials from bingo, half-off burgers on Tuesdays, and trivia to live music on Friday and Saturday night.

    Spinach and Mushtoom Artichoke Flatbread

We came in for our ladies night out. We grabbed a table by the big window so we can see outside. Immediately a server came over, asked how many will we be, we responded five and sat to wait. We realized it we arrived during happy hour, 3p-7p. Also, Wednesday special, $6 flatbread. While we waited, we ordered a glass of cabernet and a sangria, each for $3, nice! Our drinks were served right away. We perused the menu and decided, because of the special we were going to get flatbreads, the selections looked tasty. Since the rest of our party had not arrived and we were hungry, we ordered the Downtown Artichoke Dip, spinach, artichokes and three cheeses topped with diced tomato, served with warm pita or tortilla chips. The dip, chips and pita arrived nice and hot, the pita was soft and chewy and the chips nice and crunchy. The dip was tasty, but I cannot say I tasted or saw an artichoke, lots of nice spinach, but no artichoke, maybe it was super blended But no one remembered to bring napkins or silverware, when I asked, she bought over three napkins, I had to ask for more. The rest our our party arrived, we ordered three flat breads, spinach/artichoke/mushroom, buffalo chicken, classic margherita, all were very tasty. The classic margherita, the drizzle of balsamic took it over the top, as also the buffalo chicken with ranch dressing drizzled. The server, stopped by frequently to ask if we were ok. Which was nice. The other drinks ordered, the cosmos with Kettle, were delicious. Desserts: we ordered 2 bananas foster cheesecakes to share, the flavor was really good. Bananas foster is always one of may fave things. The cheesecake was not too sweet, although the consistency, I prefer much firmer, the flavor was good. Two of us ordered three desserts to go, brownie sundaes, tasted at home, ice cream nothing impressive. The brownie was good. The reason for the three stars, the issue with having to ask for silverware and napkins, twice. And, we waited almost 30 mins for our desserts. Overall, I will return to try the wings and burgers recommended by other Yelpers.

We ordered a appetizer (the goat cheese croquettes ) very good Our entrees were the Mahi and the Braised short ribs . We love to share . They both did not disappoint. The restaurant also helped to celebrate our anniversary with complimentary champagne and a decadent dessert ( the cookies and cream cheesecake ) worth every calorie Dustin the manager came by to see how things were going and also shared some of the history behind the restaurant. Love this extra touch . After dinner we went upstairs to have a drink at the bar . The atmosphere and ambiance of the place was amazing . You saw young and old some families . The service is honestly the only reason I would give this location a positive rating. Our waiter was nice and would refill our drinks without even asking. I also noticed that the executive chef would bring out the food somtimes to other tables and was very nice. The food unfortunately was a miss for me and expensive. A 6oz steak was 25$$ on their menu. I ordered the wings as an appetizer. They came out super fast but they were dry and lacking in sauce. I ordered the Classic burger. It was lacking in flavor as if it had no salt or seasoning on it and the fries were soggy and rubbery at the same time with no flavor. My parter had the chicken (fried) wrap and it was also soggy and lacking flavor. If you are looking for tavern food, just go to ale house around the corner or chickfila for a chicken wrap. I am very disappointed I doubt I will go a third time.

There were so many great options. But my husband and I both ended up getting a skillet. Food came fairly quickly. It was nice and hot and delicious. This flavor was not good. The crispy bacon was ok. Had black marks on it that I could not u sweat and from cooking. My son's two eggs, half order of biscuits and gravy with bacon he enjoyed. As we were paying I noticed I had ordered the special 7-9 daily for 8.99 but I was charged 10.50. When I asked she said I gave you extra bacon I thought you would want that. At that point I scratched Sally's off the list and will never return. Kinda shady.

You'll see their menu photo and what I got in the pictures . Now yes that bf French toast but the my pancake should look similar. 10.99 for ONE pancake . Next I ordered chicken fried steak for my friend. Three over medium eggs in the bottom was over medium eggs. Overdone with yokes missing. The biggest top was so hard I could have broken a window with it. Positives the corn beef was nice and you almost had me that it may have been real hollandaise until that gritty floury aftertaste confirmed it was not. Like I said I'll be fair and if I eat in there I'll sit down inside and eat but that's a big if. The 3 was for the service and ambiance not the food. Time for new kitchen staff or at least train them better .
