I just died and went to falafel heaven. I've been looking for the perfect falafel ball for ten years and I just found it. Perfectly fried, perfectly seasoned and so moist my mouth just exploded. Soooo delicious!

delicious, better price, fresh, taste good etc Nura in Portland is a haven for falafel lovers! Their delicious, freshly made falafels are not only a delight for the taste buds but also light on the pocket. It's a perfect blend of taste and affordability, making it a must-visit place for all food enthusiasts.

Amazing falafel & hummus. I will come here every time I am in Portland Just needed a snack but I look forward to trying more of their menu on my next visit :)

Amazing service and great food!! The ambiance is casual but the food more than compensates for everything. The place was kept clean too. It is one of the best falafel I have had in New England area. It was light, crunchy from outside, thankfully not dry from Inside and full of flavor. The hummus was smooth and tasty. My falafel sandwich was so different and it was a party of flavors in my mouth. The salad was great and the fries were delicious. The portion size was good and the food was fresh. We went there 10 mins before they close but they did not frown even once, did not rush us and were so kind and patient with us. Highly recommend if you are in the area!

Wow. Normally, I would never swoon over a salad or wish I could eat one everyday, but after trying the falafel salad today at Nura, I legitimately wish I could eat that every day. It was SO flavorful, perfectly dressed, and filling. Their falafel is top tier in both flavor and texture. The tahini sauce is a slightly thinner hummus which made the salad not too weighed down. It also included a vinaigrette which was delicious, leafy greens, and thinly sliced cucumbers and watermelon radishes which were a great pairing. For a fairly small space they have a good amount of seating, and the service was friendly and fast. I also know they do a lot to support the nursing community to my hats off to them. This was the perfect lunch and I will absolutely be back.

So glad we stumbled upon this restaurant! Not sure what to order? The veggie falafel was AMAZING. My husband got the chicken shawarma which he thought was good, but he liked the falafels more. Quick dine it or grab and go. Friendly staff as well!

So yummy! Tons of flavor and several vegetarian options. Cute atmosphere and great service too!

Came in with my husband for lunch on a sunny Sunday in April There was indoor seating available We went with chicken shawarma in a pita and a hummus bowl (with an extra pita) The shawarma sandwich was tasty and packed with chicken, but I loved the bowl, it was PERFECT for sharing We were also VERY glad that we ordered an extra pita Pita bread here is exceptional, consider ordering a few to take home!

Absolutely fabulous!! We've been 6 times already and the owner is always present and is there to ensure the best quality and experience. The chicken shwarma is perfect and their falafel is good enough to compete in the Middle East. They have a very nice quiet outdoor seating area that is dog friendly. Highly recommend!!! My only complaint, and what would make this 6 out of 5 stars, is that their harissa sauce is the spiciest they have. We love spice!!! Please consider offering customers a sauce option with some heat!

Their pitas are wonderful. Had a chicken shawarma pocket. Delicious. While it is sit down, you order at the counter. Great lunch spot.

She's was very accommodating with my deconstructed requests for both Sandwiches. An A+ employee. My Market sandwich (eggplant) was just okay. The bread was for a better word "stale" I could hardly bite into it. The same was true of the turkey ceasar hoagie. However the turkey was very good. I'm going to have to think hard if I ever want to try another hoagie from Ramona's. I know the owners are both respected chefs in their own right but I'm having a tough time justifying whether I will return.

Urg. I was excited to try this place but the egg sandwich I got (the Ramona with broccoli rabe,…read morebacon, American cheese) fell short. The roll was ever so slightly stale and the broccoli rabe had chili in it (so even though I asked for chili on the side it's still in the vegetable part). I also have a total pet peeve about American cheese. In this instance, it just made the sandwich have a gluey internal texture. I often find it is gourmet places trying to be trendy that use American cheese as though they are able to rebrand it. Sharp American or not, the cheese would have been way better in my opinion had it been cheddar or Swiss or really anything. To be fair, the bacon was well-cooked and the eggs were nicely scrambled. Although the sandwich idea is original (broccoli rabe on a breakfast sandwich), I found the flavors just didn't come together. For what it's worth, service was friendly and efficient. Moreover, like a few other places on the East End, I find this place is just sort of too curated, overly self-conscious, and trying too hard to be trendy. I would take a straightforward breakfast sandwich over one that comes with a side of merch and a Brooklyn-hipster-like environment any day.

Yum! This spot was…read morehighly recommended by friends and also on every "must try" list we found for the city. So, we decided to sneak over here after a busy morning at the lighthouse with our toddler for a nice, filling lunch before a later flight home. We must've gotten lucky on a Sunday bc our wait for three people was about 15-20 minutes quoted and we spent 10 minutes walking the block to entertain our toddler, came back to check-in and our table was ready! yay! We had a great table in the corner by the window which was excellent with our toddler. Our server, Brian, was wonderful and super friendly. Menu isn't huge but, has enough stuff that should be able to please most. We chose a small fry with the daily dip which was almost like a mayo-based honey mustard dijon and was delicious, with ketchup and vinegar for dipping. Fries were crispy and delicious. We got the green salad and the Cuban to split and loved both. The sandwich was delicious and the green salad was light and refreshing with some really yummy herbs on top to include fennel which isn't usually on a salad but I loved the taste for this one, worked perfectly with the dressing. My husband ordered their house-made cherry soda and let me tell you, best cherry soda of my life! We ordered two bc I drank about half of it. They have a charming outdoor patio area with about 3-4 other tables. Charming spot - def. recommend! Wait can get super long - by the time we left they were quoting over an hour for a table since it's smaller inside and large parties can take up almost all the spaces.

There were three of us who stopped in before heading to a concert in town. It was my boyfriend's friend who had suggested Duckfat, saying that he's been before and really likes it. It was about 6pm on a Monday night and the place was just about to capacity. We ended up waiting a few minutes and got sat at a communal table. The space looks nice, but it's definitely a bit cramped. I ordered the salted caramel milkshake and the poutine topped with a duck egg. The shake was absolutely delicious, very rich and creamy and I loved the taste of the caramel. I was very excited to try the poutine since it's the dish they're known for. The fries themselves were definitely good and I enjoyed the gravy. I wished the cheese curds were more melted and the egg yolk a little bit more runny. But the biggest thing for me is that the dish was way too salty. The people seemed friendly enough and everything came out relatively quick, but the experience felt very rushed. They very hastily dropped the check at the table before we could ask for an order of the doughnuts for dessert. That might've been for the best though, because upon looking at the check I realized how expensive it was. Duckfat wasn't by any means a bad experience. But I also didn't find it to be a particularly memorable one. With how much people hype it up, it pains me to say that I might've gotten my hopes up a little too high only to fall slightly short of the mark.

Mike is always happy to help me pick out a bottle of wine which is much appreciated, along with stocking up on a few extra bottles of Havana Club rum when I've asked. But most importantly, their pizza is just so perfect, to me at least. All their toppings are great, but you really can't beat their good ol' cheese/pepperoni pie. It's simple, yet complex, amazing sauce, perfect dough, it's homemade and genuine, at a price that's more than appropriate. I'm always happy when I order a large half pep/half cheese "for the kids" Their take home meals are also excellent, their pot pies are top tier, St. Patrick's Day corned beef dinner is a must, I don't bother making my own anymore. The pesto tortellini is another banger. The pot roast slaps as well. There are a few I'm forgetting but you really can't go wrong. I'm not a big Italian sandwhich guy, but everyone I know loves them, and to my eye, they look wayyyy better than any of the alternatives around town. I'd highly recommend, it's a family owned business that's been here for over half a century. Ps their Ben&Jerry's selection is also...perfect, and I don't think I've ever bought a losing scratch ticket from here either, just winners.

Thinner crust, decent structure, more structured than a NY, less structured than a Sicilian or a good grandma style. It's a little lighter than a Sicilian or grandma in terms of crust. "Heaviness" is pretty subjective depending on the toppings. The pizza - Soppresatta was packed with flavor, salty, spicy, little sweet from a touch of honey and a very fresh, slightly punchy sauce - keeps some acidity and tastes lively. The crust was delicious, from what I read, this is a sourdough crust. Definitely had some good character and flavor to it.. I got this heated before eating it. The vegan special - obviously I'm not vegan, but that pizza looked phenomenal. Had to try it. This one did not get heated up as it was suggested to leave it cold (logical considering it basically has a salad on top). I don't know what the vegan cheese was but it tasted like a whipped ricotta/goat cheese would. The fresh tomato, pickled peppers and red onion all played perfectly together. I'd certainly go back here. A little on the pricey side but I think it rang in around $18 on these 2 slices (yes, pictured is considered a slice of each) I was plenty satisfied.
