Stopped in for breakfast, counter service ordering, enjoyed the garden sandwich on Focaccia bread. Coffee was self serve, enjoyed the breakfast blend. Not sure when I will be in Freeport again but I liked this place for a quick sandwich.

    Yummy pastries

OK, I'm worried about telling you about this place because it is SO good that I'm not sure I want to share it. Let's just say everything we tried was good and they have a whole selection of gluten-free pastries, and a whole section of gluten plus pastries They have a turkey club that I don't want to share with anyone. My hot chocolate was some of the best I've had and the cappuccinos and the lattes are wonderful. Corbin is an excellent general manager. The staff is very helpful. And oh my God, the soups !!! I'll leave it at that.

Fantastic. Great outdoor seating with plenty of shade. Service was great and timely, we didn't have to wait too long during lunch hour. The food was delicious. I got the flank steak sandwich and my wife got the havarti. The fries were incredible and would recommend again. Stop here for a quick bite in Freeport!

I had first been to the Bake Shop in January of last year - I think they had been open about a minute. I have been back for a few things since, but on the advice of a friend, I went all in for breakfast! And it was so very good. I opted for an egg sandwich on an everything bagel with cheddar. It was very good - sometimes a bagel is "too" much for a sandwich, but not in this case. Yummy. Wayne went for an egg sandwich w/bacon on a croissant - also extremely good. The service was great - we said we were going to sit outside and they brought the food to us; sitting outside - so good - something that definitely didn't happen in January.

Spacious casual place with outdoor seating. It was late in the afternoon when we arrived and someone from the kitchen came out to take our order. We both had the chicken gyros and they were fresh and tasty.

    Gluten free molasses cookie!

What a gem! I had the BEST breakfast sandwich here that I've ever had. (The fried eggplant on a croissant). The coffee was so good! I also got the gluten free molasses cookie to-go and it was perfect! And huge! Everyone working there was also so ki and the ambiance was cozy & cute. I live in Florida but, I can't wait to go back. Kudos to The Bakeshop! You are AWESOME!

Hands down, this place has some of the best bakery items and food I have ever tasted. Everything is fresh and moist and divine. Do yourself a favor and stop by if you're even remotely close to Freeport.

Opened in December 2022 in downtown Freeport in the former Italian restaurant space on main Street (next to Key Bank and across from Sherman's book store). Small side parking lot or front street parking but close to many of the nearby parking lots. Yummy sweet baked good with lots of gluten free options. Yummy sandwiches. More than a bakeshop! Yummy bar menu with martinis- blueberry and espresso, fun margaritas, different mimosas. Lots of canned local craft brews. Cute indoor seating area and lots of outdoor seating. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Free wifi. They have gluten and dairy free substitutions for salads and sandwiches and gf pita.

A group of us were in Freeport this morning in the middle of a roadtrip and we decided to stop at The Bakeshop for breakfast. One of us is gluten free, and it can be challenging to find good options for her at times. However, that was not the case at The Bakeshop! They had so many amazing gluten free options, and we were pleasantly surprised! All 4 of us ended up ordering the breakfast sandwich, 2 of us on regular focaccia, 1 on gluten free house-made focaccia, and the 4th on a croissant. Everything was spectacular! We were hoping to grab coffee, as well, but they don't have an espresso machine, so we ended up passing on that. Nevertheless, great spot for a bite to eat in the morning! There were a few people working from home there, too, with the free wifi. 10/10!

Delicious food, great coffee and the best GF options!!! 100 % worth the trip. Charming patio... GO!

SPüN does a lot of variety of custom order cakes and they're so nicely done. My first opportunity was my SO had actually ordered a green tea cake -- it was so good I couldn't stop shoveling the buttercream into my mouth. This year I opted for a Boston cream pic cupcake selection for the Boston cream pie lover in my life. The inside was a yellow cake base with the standard Boston cream in the middle and a hardened chocolate shell over cream on top. I made a special request for some lettering and they came packaged in a box that allowed for complete stability of the cakes. I accidentally left them out in a cold area prior to serving but they turned out totally fine! I would have normally done a regular Boston cream pie but circumstances made cupcakes an easier option. Will be trying the full cake next time. Definitely recommend if you're in the area -- ordering, customizing, payment, and pick up were all insanely easy.

THESE ARE THE BEST CINNAMON ROLLS I'VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE (So please ignore anything I've said stating otherwise that was written before this review was.) I had been warned that these were everything and more, and that still did not prepare me for how epic they were. They're the perfect balance of both dense and yet they melt-in-your-mouth; the "icing" (whatever notion you have of icing, throw it away because that's not what this is but a word hasn't been invented yet for whatever is going on with these buns) is sticky and creamy and has a little hint of citrus. And I am not sure I can never eat another cinnamon roll again, because these have spoiled me forever (I was swooning so much the first time we had them that my partner let me finish his as well!). Also: their frittata? I haven't had anything that good since living in Spain. Big, filling wedges of layered egg, potato, onion, and veggies. I'm hoping this will always be available vegetarian! Also; I ate it cold. And with my hands like it was a slice of pizza. That's the kind of monster I am, but it worked out deliciously! Spün you have IMMEDIATELY become one of my favorite food places in all of Maine. Can I make my holiday order for a half dozen cinnamon rolls and veggie frittata now?!

Whenever I visit somewhere new I make sure to visit at least one small coffee shop. I passionately support small businesses as much as I can! My friend and I had driven up to a local confectionery and I was dragging afterwards. So we found this adorable little place and I had one of the best coffees of my life! The only reason that I am giving it four stars instead of five is that they don't do blended coffee. I also think they need to hire a couple more people as the wait was a bit much. That being said it was entirely worth it because as I stated my vanilla pistachio latte was one of the best coffees I have had in 20 some odd years of coffee drinking. I also loved the decor and cute little elements that really make you feel at home! They had plenty of seating especially for being a smaller establishment Overall, Cute, locally owned and very friendly staff! Delicious coffee! Quite a large space inside and a handful of tables outside to enjoy the nice weather. You order at the counter and then they have a spot further down where they'll call out your name for both food and drinks. They had a section on the menu called the MET Artistic Lattes which was their version of specialty flavored lattes. This caught our eyes. My wife went with the Falcon Pride (chocolate & white chocolate latte) and I went with the Vanilla Bean Dream (white chocolate & vanilla). Drink wise they were both pretty good! Didn't become a new favorite coffee spot but good enough we would return if we found ourselves in the area looking for coffee again. To have a real strong opinion I would need to return and try some of the food rather than just the coffee.
