I've been to the Nurture Spa & Salon a few times now, mostly for blowouts. I seem to always find myself here at least once each time I'm staying at MGM's Luxor. I've had great experiences and even with my lovely tape-in extensions, no issues at all washing, drying and styling my hair. This week, I had the most pleasant experience with Roman styling me. He did such a great job, took his time and gave me an amazing, shiny blowout! Legit, looked amazing and held up great all day long through 20k steps of walking and outdoor elements. Ok.. I feel completely ripped off. Website prices are not accurate.. day pass for a Friday should've been $50 but because it was a holiday weekend they decide to raise the price to $65.. I'm a guest at this hotel too. I don't understand what the reasoning for charging more.. it's not like they're offering champagne for new years. The refreshment bar consisted of espresso which was the only nice part. Only black tea bags and mint water.. mushy, bruised and heavily waxed red apples and sunflower seeds. Man this place has gone way downhill. Outside the sauna was a bowl with one washcloth that was DRY!! Not a chilled one! I'm sorry, where am I? The steam room smelt of sweaty feet.. no aromatherapy there! The jacuzzi was nice, water warm, not hot. The cold plunge was cold enough. No area to just lay and relax unless you were in the steam room or sauna.. if you sit in the waiting lounge, they ask if you're waiting for a service. Overall pretty disappointing. Open on Thanksgiving! So nice to be able to relax. The spa is very clean. Perfect temperature. I opted for the signature massage. They use oils and hot stones. Greg was my therapist and he was excellent! Perfect pressure. Nice way to relax on vacation is to pamper yourself. They automatically add a 20% surcharge (separate from the advertised prices); however, the person providing your service gets 18% of that 20% which is great. read more

What a lovely experience at the Luxor Spa! Walked in to the spa to book a birthday massage for my partner. Raquel at the front desk was amazing!!! She was so friendly, informative and helpful. Scheduled the appointment for the next day, was able to choose a male or female massagw therapist, and it was as easy as that. Arrived 30mins prior to fill out the paperwork, and my partner was able to hang in the sauna while they were preparing her room. $180 for a weekday hot stone and deep tissue massage with aromatherapy. Prices vary on a weekend or weekday (cheaper on weekday). They gave just enough pressure to not be painful and my partner left happy and relaxed. They also offered a couples massage for $300 which we will DEFINETLY take part of next time. A wonderful experience from start to finish. I appreciate they automatically added 20% to the bill which I paid upon check in, makes it easier than worrying about tipping after your service. This review is about the facilities. I've gotten a "day pass" a few times. It is not bad a place, there are 3 pools, hot/warm/cold, decently sized steam room and dry sauna. My main issues with this Spa: - The showers didn't have shampoo or soap or sometimes 2 bottles of shampoo or a bottle of soap but no shampoo, etc.. after checking like 3 showers with the same issue I told the staff and they told me that maybe the accessible shower had all the things. The same happened during 2 different trips. This is unacceptable for what they charge. - During one visit the Steam room wasn't working properly, they knew this and still charged the full price. - Some of the staff walks frantically around the area like prison guards and randomly open the doors of the sauna and steam room, take a quick look around and leave. At the dry sauna apparently is to check if a bucket is filled with water. Advice: YOU DO NOT ENTER THE STEAM ROOM OR THE SAUNA UNLESS SOMEONE REPORTS A PROBLEM OR REQUIRES YOU THERE. Add a sign to the water bucket so people can ask you if they need it to be filled in with water. After these issues i realized that this place is not worth what they charge, better spend an extra 25 bucks and go to the Mandalay Bay Spa which is so much better in every posible way. If they fix the issues above it might be worth it but until then, forget it. read more

The Spa at the Luxor was amazing! My husband and I really loved it! We went twice and spent hours there instead of the pool. It's so relaxing and I'd go back again just for the spa. But fair warning, it was $50/person for hotel guests when we went. They have a hot tub, whirlpool, cold plunge, sauna, steam room, and lounge. The hot tub is massive and features five waterfalls that really beat down on your shoulders for a nice massaging effect. Not to mention the jets are very strong in the whirlpool, which is not but not as hot as the hot tub. The cold plunge is plenty cold and I took a few dips myself. The sauna was perfect, and it had rocks that you could pour water onto to release the heat. The steam room is massive, however, it wasn't very hot. It can get very steamy, but you have to trick the thermostat to get it truly steamy. All in all, I had a very relaxing experience there and truly enjoyed it. read more

Staff was friendly and so was nail tech. However the polish didn't stick and she only put half of my name with a clear coat. Typically when I'm in Vegas, I need at least one spa day to get my body back on track from all the bad choices, walking, and sleep deprivation. The day spa is $25 for hotel guests, it's not unfortunately a part of your resort fee. The spas are gender specific. And it's easy to add on a massage or other service if needed. The spa is open until 7pm and you can come and go as you please once you've paid. They give you a robe, slippers, and towels. They have fruit, water, coffee, and tea inside the spa. You'll be able to use any one of their three pools, sauna, steam room or even sitting area which has a tv. A massage here is nice. The setting is super tranquil and relaxing and the time flies. It's a little pricy, but worth it. If nothing else, get the day pass to the spa and let the stress of Vegas melt away. read more

The massage I received was spectacular and potentially is the best I have ever received. There are a few different areas which unfortunately need improvement which have lowered my overall score. 1)I was not shown around the facilities upon arrival. I had to walk around myself and learn where things are. 2)After my massage ended and I exited the treatment room, I discovered my therapist had left and I had to walk around and figure out how to get back to the spa portion. 3)While it was not crowded, the handful of people that were there all complained about the temperature of the hot tub as it was more like warm. Attendants said everyone was complaining but there was nothing they could do. 4)There should be a lounge area to sit and relax by the amenities themselves. It would have been nice to exit a plunge pool and sit on a chair aside of the pools and relax. 5)I do not want a television on while I'm at the spa. I can't relax and escape reality when reality is on television. 6)The restrooms are like high school restrooms! Not even the same caliber as in the rest of Luxor! Extremely bright light and cheap partitions kill the mood. Overall I enjoyed my time, but it could have felt like a fantastic experience competing against higher end resorts. Instead my wife any my last memory is is saying goodbye to the front desk attendant while he ignored us and said nothing. I was really pleased with my service back in March at Nurture. I have been going through so much in my life and my mom suggested to get a manicure the next time I went to Vegas. I got a discount through one of my Vegas slots apps. At the time they were allowing me to get the discount even though my room was complimentary. They gave me good instructions to the spa. I didn't even know Luxor had a spa or a buffet. There are many things to explore in this unusual hotel. I had to schedule an appointment and the only time available for me was 3pm. This was okay since there is much to check out here. The spa is right next door to the pool. I was led down further to wait in this serene area where they offer bottled water and fruit. I was very relaxed by the time they called my name to do my nails. The lady who did my nails was very kind and patient. This was my first ever manicure and this was an excellent experience. Makes me very hopeful to return to Luxor and do my nails again. read more

Desperately needed a pedicure so I was so glad there was a place right in my hotel, Luxor. I booked the same day I needed the treatment and got the time I wanted. Alisha treated my poor, tired feet so well. She was gentle and made sure I was comfortable all the time yet she was able to better the bad bits. She even gave me 2 bottles of water (1 to go when she found out I was nursing a nasty cold) and an extra spa slipper when she found out I had to walk to the furthest elevator (in case it breaks in the casino). Was on hold for 12 minutes only to be told ONE nail repair would be $60!!!! ONE NAIL. I know this is Vegas, but that's absurd.

I really like this spa, at least the men's side. It's clothing optional although myself and many of the other patrons decided to forego the clothing, I mean why not? There's a nice sized dry sauna, a huge steam room, showers, lockers (each with a robe inside), a lounge area, two warm jacuzzi's and a chilled jacuzzi (all of which can be used NUDE), and there's also complimentary tea, coffee, juice, water, etc. It's a very clean spa with very friendly, helpful staff. If you're a hotel guest then it's $30 for a day pass which is a great price considering you can leave and re-enter (all day, until closing) without having to pay extra. read more

We booked a couple's massage. Both massage therapists were great. They also shared some post-massage self-care tips and were willing to adjust the massage to fit our individual needs. Unfortunately I have to severely drop my rating of the Nurture Salon after showing up this afternoon for my pre-booked haircut appointment and being informed that my stylist decided to leave early, so wasn't there, but I could reschedule if I wished. I also didn't see any other stylist present in the salon at this time--just the receptionist. After my wasted 1-hour round trip drive and payment of a $5.00 tip for 15 minutes of valet parking (It wasn't the valet's fault, so why should he be penalized for my misfortune?!), I found a voicemail on my cell phone informing me that my stylist had left for the day, and I could reschedule or try another stylist if I wished. Nothing was said on the phone or in person about any family emergency or other legitimate reason for a sudden departure by my stylist and abrupt termination of my appointment. As for rescheduling, I told the receptionist, "No thanks!" With that lack of customer service reliability, I will either let my long hair grow even longer for a time or take a chance on a stylist on the ship I will soon be boarding. read more

No perks for M life members either. The spa area is nice and relaxing. I like that they are gender specified so people aren't making out with their SOs right next to you. The hours are incorrect pretty much everywhere they are listed. When I went to the spa, they were only open til 6 p.m. The locker rooms are up to par and the robes are cozy. I HATE the flip flops that they give you...definitely not meant for wide feet. There is plenty of bottled water and fruit in the changing room. I had a $50 Luxor voucher I redeemed here. It took forever to get someone on the phone to help me so I could make a reservation. Not to mention it took forever for the guy to answer my bloody questions! He kept putting me on hold. I REALLY wanted to cancel my vouchers & redeem it somewhere else, but couldn't. :( When I got there for my appointment, the guy had the nerve to tell me that I wasn't in the system. WTF?!? I was already annoyed with the whole experience & I didn't even start my appointment yet! Finally, I was able to go in for my appointment. Because I never been to a FULL spa before, I didn't know that they give out free juice, water, etc, so that was cool. This location had this deal if you buy a package, you get to use the sauna & Jacuzzi all day, unlimited. If you don't want a package, but just want the spa part, its only $25 all day, which is cool. I might consider that in the future. My massage was really good. She was a professional & gave me a good experience, but I still think the receptionist guy really gave me a bad 1st impression. After a 50 minute massage by the man himself, Frank, I was sure I was ascending into a higher consciousness. With impressive technique and skill, Frank had me feeling at the top of my game. A mixed review for an overnight stay that included a massage, dinner and breakfast. The check in was very fast and the staff was great. A quick dinner after that. The food was very good and the servers were attentive and fast. The massage was awesome. The room was very basic, but for one night was ok. The next morning, the breakfast was a disaster. We were seated quickly, and a server finally came over after waiting for 15 minutes. We ordered coffee and two meals. The only way we got coffee was another server was walking by with coffee and asked if that was for us, he said just wait and brought two for us. Coffee took 20 minutes from ordering. Maybe 10 minutes after that, they brought my wife's breakfast, and I said to please go ahead and start, figuring mine would be a few minutes behind. Our server finally came by about 10 minutes later and asked how everything was. Said how would I know, still waiting. He turned around to "checK" and another server was delivering my meal. That was the good news, the bad news was that it was ice cold and inedible. My advice to potential travelers is take the awesome massage. Skip the overnight and especially the restaurant. read more

Worst facial ever! Do not come here if you are looking for any input on your skin, or if you need extractions. When I schedule a facial it is because I need extractions and my skin needs extra attention that I can't give it at home. Everything that was done during this facial can be done at home as long as you have skin care products and a Clarisonic. I would ONLY get a facial here is you are doing it only for relaxation. Atmosphere- Nice, relaxing setting. You are given a locker and a robe so you can undress before you are taken back to the treatment room. After the treatment you can use the sauna, relax in the waiting area where they have snacks and beverages, or freshen up with a bunch of products in their vanity area. read more

I came from out of town to get married, and I was worried about my parent's flight delay, but Raquel eased my concerns about moving the appointment. Being from out of town, I wasn't able to meet with the stylists to do a trial run, like everyone suggests. Despite this, I felt completely glamorous on my wedding day. Jinny, a complete pro, did my makeup, making me look like the best version of myself. She knew just what questions to ask, and tailored my look for an outdoor setting. Enkhee was an absolute genius with my hair. I went in there without pictures, saying I wanted something bohemian, with "maybe a braid?", and it was like she read my mind! Meh. There are so many amazing spas in Vegas. I mean this one would be okay in Missoula, Minneapolis, or Montpelier, but in Vegas it just doesn't shine. Yes, it is a good deal for a $25 day pass if staying at the Luxor, but I'd rather spend about 20 bucks more and go to the refined space at The Cosmo's spa. This one was clean, but it does have an 80s/90s feel to it. I had the whole place to myself for about 3 hours. That should tell you something right there. read more

I plan and i booked ahead. upon arriving to my room, they have a $20 coupon in the hotel book they gave me and had left me a message about a $20 discount on massage..............NEITHER THAT THE SPA WOULD HONOR........and there were two of us. $40 gone. .........they automatically FORCE you to pay 20% gratuity prior to services. Why would any techniciian offer you quality service when the tip is already in there and not going to change either way??................and here's what that gets you as a customer. I sat in "the hall" with 2 other men who had 2 p.m appts (my tech was Lee) they were gone about 3-4 minutes before my tech came to get me. We walked through a maze, and finally ended up at my room. Massage was good (not great, not weak) She spent at least 8-9 of the minutes fiddle faddling around other than massaging me (lotions, towels, washing hands etc) all of a sudden she told me we were done. seemed quick. i got back to my locker (across the spa) changed into my clothes and walked out. When i walked out, my Iphone told me it was 2:53 p.m. i didn't go into that room till 2:05 and she didn't start on me till about 2:10 (i had to get under blankets) and i had to be done by 2:45 in order to possibly be out at 2:53. i really got a 25 minute massage (or there abouts) yet was charged for an hour (or 50 minute) no one asked how it went or how i enjoyed. they do have a nice facility, hot tubs, sauna, showers, steam room, and once you pay, you can use such all day............................................but if you charge over $100 for a 50 minute massage, you have to give it to them. AND STOP MAKING US PAY A TIP BEFORE, WHAT INCENTIVE DOES THE TECH HAVE? read more

It has been a few years since I visited this spa, and it was not open 24 hours and called the Oasis. I wasn't there to work out. I was there to relax, meet other men and enjoy all of the free snacks. The wet area is outstanding....very clean, and all the towels you could possibly use. It would be terrific if it was still open 24 hours....but nighttime is gambling time.
