Small in Size, Big on Service, Tops in Value!
    Mikey C.

Secret Vegas Insider Information #2: This is the best spa in Las Vegas. At least when it comes to spas, size matters. Spa Orleans is special, precisely because it is small. And, unlike spas on the Strip, it's uncrowded and uncomplicated. It is so off the radar, you have to be hip to Yelp to get in on this sweet action. When I'm in Las Vegas, I start almost every morning here. I sign in by 8 or 9 a.m., and at least 75% of the time, I'm the only customer. I get the jacuzzi and steam room totally to myself. The steam room at this spa is the best, again, precisely because it is small. In big steam rooms like those at Mandalay Bay and South Point, the steam is so weak it's worthless. Orleans got steam, baby! At a small spa like this, they remember returning guests. I am always warmly welcomed by Gail at the front desk. The staff at Spa Orleans is another reason this is the best spa in Las Vegas. They are clearly the best trained, and most responsive, spa staff around. Professional, yet friendly and accommodating. Unobtrusive, yet available. Attendants circulate while you are using the spa to keep the place tidy and to see if everything is ok. And, when things are not ok, things get fixed. I met the manager, Julie, and told her how much I appreciated her wonderful facility and staff. Keep up the good work, Spa Orleans, you are the best! Mikey C. says: Frankie Says Relax

Massage and spa amenities were awesome, and deserve 4 or 5 stars. Friendly staff, clean facilities, and were able to get me in on short notice. However, the beauty shop is AWFUL. Absolutely DO NOT go here. I came in for a gel manicure and the woman who did my nails clearly had no idea what she was doing. She was extremely sloppy and cured the polish all over my skin. When I stopped her and asked her to clean up the polish before she cured, so that it wasn't all over my skin and cuticles she said she'd fix it after. Well lo and behold, she had no idea what she was talking about. She finished the manicure and kept trying to clean up the edges with alcohol but it was already cured. She also put on way too many coats of polish to he point that my nails look so thick like acrylic gels instead of just a shellac manicure. It was so poor I refused to pay for the service, you can't charge $55 and have no idea what you are even doing. I spent 20 minutes filing them after the appointment just so that the polish was smooth and mostly off my skin. I'm flabbergasted this shop is even in business, I've never had a worse salon experience.

I was going on vacation to celebrate my wedding anniversary with my husband who has never had a massage in his life. It was very important I found a place that would fit all our needs to ensure he would have a pleasant experience. And Massage 1 spa ( on dean martin) did all that and more! Booking was very easy. You can choose to do it through their website or call. I called and booked a couple massage: one deep tissue and one swedish thai massage combo both including hot stones and the private suite (which included a dry red light and wet sauna with a jacuzzi tub and lounge area with a shower). The facility is very clean, peaceful and has a very relaxing atmosphere. Our massages were amazing! My husband and I both work out and lift heavy weight so we really wanted them to work on our muscles. They exceeded our expectations, listened to our wants and massaged all of our problem areas away. When our massages were finished, the private suite was the cherry on top. With our muscles relaxed we were able to continue that relaxtion with the saunas and hot tub. We left feeling refreshed, renewed and so relaxed (which I clearly cannot emphasize enough)! I look forward to coming back here the next time I am in Vegas. If Massage 1 was one of your options on your spa list, I HIGHLY suggest you go here. You won't regret it and you will definitely want to come back too.

The front lobby is a "no-frills" Asian spa (Chinese-operated, not Korean), but don't let the modest exterior fool you--it is surprisingly huge inside and can accommodate up to 20 people at once. I walked in without an appointment and they were able to take me immediately. Here are a few tips for your visit: The Setup: The rooms are separated by doors for privacy, but the individual sections are divided by curtains, so you can sometimes hear neighbors talking. The Pressure: This is the place for people who actually want a hard massage. Even their "regular" pressure is much firmer than a "deep tissue" at a place like Burke Williams. I especially loved the technique where they step on your back--it's incredibly effective! Just make sure to be vocal about your preferences if you want them to adjust. Pricing & Upselling: They are very clear and upfront with their signs, but like any spa, they may offer add-ons. Just ask if something is included or an extra charge; they aren't trying to scam you, they're just running a business. Location: It's in a perfect spot right next to all the amazing restaurants off Spring Mountain, making it a great stop before or after dinner. If you don't need a giant hot tub or a steam room and just want a focused, high-quality massage that actually works out the knots, this is the spot. I left feeling super relaxed!

However, my most recent visit (a few days ago) Heidi was not available and I had Gisele instead. She was kind at pickup, however, as we were talking through the consultation she visibly started becoming detached and I caught her slightly roll her eyes a few times after I asked some questions about add ons. While she stepped out and I was about to get on the table, I stuck my head out into the hall to ask to add an oil add on and she was leaning against the wall on her phone. She immediately put it away and said she could add the oil (I forgot the name of it). I thought this was a bit unprofessional since there are guests walking up and down the hall. During the massage, I asked for her to lighten the pressure and her responses were clipped and she seemed annoyed. I did not feel relaxed after and felt like a huge inconvenience to her. I always go down to enjoy the spa and it honestly was chaotic this time. I always enjoy the sauna shows (Joli is amazing!). The common area was too over crowded and it was LOUD. I get it, it's a social area but the employees should be able to ask to lower the voices in a spa, right? Apparently not. I asked Rolli (he said he was a supervisor) about it and pretty much said that's how it is and I could go to the female only side for more quiet if I wanted. I then saw him approach a female employee with orange hair and they seemed to laugh about it as she looked over my way. Also, all of the warm stone chairs had towels/robes on them to block anyone from sitting while everyone was in the pool. So no one else could enjoy them and again the employees didn't do anything about it. Okay.... I felt unwelcome in that area with them so I went to the ladies side. The hot tubs edges had black/green goop building up. Half the showers are broken. There were dirty cups/bowls everywhere. The star lounge had dirty towels built up. I went to the desk (where they give you your shoes) and there were about 7-8 of them standing inside...men too! Why can they see into the ladies only side? Again, fine I'll move on from that...but they were all so so loud and just laughing and chit chatting. You could hear them in the locker changing areas and the couches where you enjoy the snacks. While the entire spa was a mess! I got changed and left. I didn't even want to mention anything at the reception desk. It was overwhelming and underwhelming all at the same time and just wanted to get out of there. I honestly won't be coming back. The facilities are not being kept up with anymore. The service quality is very low. It was such a bad experience, there are other spas that offer better value for your money.

Customer service was top notch. Everyone from the front check in desk to the ladies helping to restock towels and bathroom amenities were all professional and helpful. I opted to try their new Aescape massage which is a massage conducted by a robot. You are given workout attire to wear and once in the room, you lie down and start your self guided and customizable massage controlled by the tablet in front of you. It scans your body and shows you visually which part of the body the robot is working out. You can control the pressure, type of music, and area you want to focus on. The robot's hands are heated so it felt like a human was massaging me! I wouldn't say it's equivalent to a human masseuse but worth a try! Unfortunately ride share will only pick you up at the coliseum valet which is on the other side of the hotel so do not order your ride share until you're closer to that location.

We shared a room with friends, which I didn't mind, and I made sure to set the tone early by politely asking for silence; they were very respectful of that. My only real complaint is that the massage bed squeaked throughout the session the second time around, which drove me a bit crazy. It was easy to look over their services on their website, but to ensure my mom and I could do our massages together at the same time, I found calling them was much better. I had booked the 50-minute Prenatal Massage and my mom booked the 50-minute Thai LOAM Massage with a 50% reservation fee. We were required to show up 10 minutes before our appointments to fill out a waiver and survey, change out of our clothes, and get situated on the massage bed. We were originally going to be in separate rooms but they asked if it was okay to put us in the couples' room; not a problem. They set up my bed with the pregnancy wedge for my belly, and it was pretty comfortable. The only complaint I had was that I had a hard time breathing through the little head hole as they layered a lot of white sheets on top of the bed and made the hole smaller and stifling. I found myself having to breathe through my mouth but it was tolerable. For prenatal massages, they only offer light and medium pressure. However, in certain areas I did feel like I got deep pressure especially in my shoulders as I had a few knots and tightness there. Katie/Kathy was my masseuse and she knew exactly how to work out those kinks while still making the experience comfortable for a pregnant person. I still felt like I got deep tissue massage on my shoulders despite the prenatal massage policy of being at maximum medium pressure. My mom said she found her massage relaxing and loved her experience at LOAM. They gave us water cups at checkout and we left feeling pretty relaxed. I did have a bit of shoulder soreness for 2 days afterwards but that is to be expected for getting the incessant knots out of my back--shoutout to Katie/Kathy! Overall, I highly recommend LOAM for their prenatal massages!
