We've stayed at the Vdara a few times and I love the vibe. First, there isn't a casino in the hotel so it's ideal if you enjoy being close to the action, but want to avoid the chaos, smoke, and crowds when coming back to your hotel. We had our toddler with us, so wanted to make sure we could start and end our day in a calm and relaxed manner. Second, the views. Highly recommend the fountain view rooms. Our room had a great view of the sphere, and the bellagio fountain. It was so lovely to watch the fountain light up in the evening. And if you're a morning person, or a sucker for sunrises, suggest waking up when the sun comes up - you won't be disappointed with the most beautiful view. Stayed at the Vdara for the first time and the room was nice and clean. There is a walk way that goes to the Cosmopolitan and the Bellagio which is a big plus. The hotel has a Starbucks and market in the lobby as well as, a bar. It is a non casino hotel without the smoke and the noise and now walkable to three casinos. This is great access to the casinos without walking on the heat during the summer (exception to the Aria which requires walking a short distance outside). The issue I have was with the water issue. We had no water for eight hours from 5am. I went down to the front desk who only offered me one night waived resort fee and two small bottles of water to be used to brush our teeth? This is not the first time and a majority of floors above us had the same issue. They could have done better rather than waived only one night of resort fee for the inconvenience that is an ongoing issue with this hotel. Not sure what is wrong with the hotel's pipes, but think this should be fixed. I have stayed at a majority of MGM hotels. There are no perfect MGM hotels, but how you treat customer when issue arises makes a difference. The customers should be offered additional assistance and accommodations for the inconvenience without being asked which would signal excellent service. This seems to be lacking at the MGM properties. read more

so many hotels to choose from and pricing is all over the place from expensive to uber expensive, this one is right smack in the middle in those terms. I appreciate the mini kitchette area and the view, no matter which room, you get really cool night time views. Rooms are spacious and still feels luxurious vs other hotels at similar price points. and this hotel is part of hotel chain network I won't mention, but that helps with earning points and reward nights FYI! and of course there is resort fee and parking fee and all these other new fees. This spa is a pretty good spa. The staff is amazing which is typical at one of these spas. Checking in was easy and they gave a mini tour of the area. The pool was closed for the season, but they did mention the one at Aria was available. No thanks! The massage room was nice with a heated table that was nice at first, but had to turn it off. The lady doing the massage did a great job too. The 50 minutes flew by quickly for sure. I was there on a weekday morning and they had just painted in the locker rooms and shower areas, so everything smelled like blue paint, even though the paint was white. Weird... But it made the experience less enjoyable for sure. The amenities were nice, but nothing extravagant. I've had better coffee and amenties at car dealerships. I enjoyed the tea and the cold water. The berry mix was almost all chocolate chips (not really a bad thing). They had some juices and ginger ale as well. It's perfect if you're staying at the Vdara as it's a quick elevator ride to the spa level. Vdara is one of the best hotels I've stayed at. Check-in took a little while, but the many dining and shopping options kept us busy until our room was ready. Our suite was beautiful, spotless, and well-maintained. Housekeeping even provided dishes for cooking upon request, which we really appreciated and took full advantage of. The view from our room was amazing, and daily housekeeping service kept everything fresh throughout our stay. Valet service was convenient and made getting around easy. There's value in the decision to make an appointment. The staff are super friendly and helpful. After check-in, take the elevator or stairs to the 3rd floor where a waiting area greets you. Enter the locker room and greeted by someone who will give you a tour and assign your locker. If you arrive early, help yourself to the amenities of the Spa and you are also welcome to stay after your appointment and use the amenities as well. About 10 min to your appointment, you are escorted to another section of the Spa, which is beautifully decorated and very relaxing, where your masseuse will meet you. I opted for a 50min Signature massage and added the Hot Stones. Brittani was my assigned therapist and she was wonderful! Afterwards, stop by the Meditation Lounge to gather your thoughts before proceeding on with your day. I am definitely planning to keep this in future itineraries. read more

First time in Vegas. A few comments. An "on the Strip" hotel that, given no casino and major restaurant, is quieter than most of the rest. Also smoke free, so no constant smell of cigar, cigarette, pot, vape! Close enough to things and direct indoor connection to the Bellagio and Cosmopolitan. Staff were kind and professional. Keep in mind this is a "spa/Strip hotel, so you need to expect things like a $55/day "resort fee," (and freaking taxes on that "fee). A small bottle of water is $9 and they even charge you for using the Keurig coffee machine. $18 for two K-cups! My room was nice but had a few issues. The windows were filthy on the outside. The furniture and things are a little long in the tooth, but everything was clean. The bathroom did have a moldy/slight well, "sewer smell" to it. Right from my first evening (was there 6 nights). I do not know if it was the drains, the commode, or maybe some of the mold that was in the shower at the ceiling shower glass line. For a "Spa" hotel that charged me $55/day spa fee and charged me $18 for two K-cups, that is disappointing. Overall a decent experience. If I go back to Vegas would I stay there? Probably not. Although I am not sure it is more due to my experience, desire to try something new, or perhaps a desire to avoid the expense and resort fees of the newer Strip hotels. Valet damaged our Thule Storage on top of our car!!, broke an expensive bag, and the managers for valet, security and head of security, were all hostile and unprofessional, when we brought our damaged stuff to valet's attention they laughed it off and didn't care! When the valet manager came to us she was rude and put her hands in my mother's face!! we had to get the Metro Police Department to file a report, security was extremely unhelpful and couldn't help us, we got the opinion of other guests at the Vidara Hotel and had similar issues with management, one man said "this is the worst service in an hotel I've ever had! they constantly tell you no!" another man had room service knocking on his door late at night while he was asleep and when he went to complain to the desk he was put in hold for and hour then after all that time they just hung up on him! I was shown one price online when I booked using MGM property friends and family discount. Never received a confirmation email but was charged quite a bit more at check in. I spoke with a manager after being hung up on twice at check in that explained it was probably the resort fees/taxes that wasn't shown when I booked. Have a cute bar lounge to hang and little outdoor fire place area to just wind down . Great little 24 cafe open which is a plus . I put 4 stars just because my last room was not the best , was put next to a maids area where it was very loud and my corner suite had no view and windows very dirty and a chair and couch in the suite was filthy cause it was cloth . Absolutely wonderful experience at the Vdara Spa. Christine was my masseuse and took great care of me. I left so refreshed and relaxed. We arrived 30 minutes before my appointment to check in (there are 2 stations, one on level 2 and one on level 3) There are lockers for your valuables as you change into a fluffy robe and shower slides. We usually go to the spa at Aria but we were staying at Vdara this time and didn't want to walk too far. This spa is small with limited amenities but still luxurious, comfy and relaxing. I got customized facial, hubby got customized massage which were both a bit more pricey than usual but very well worth it. I had been drinking the previous night and the food was so salty even more saltier than before in Vegas! Also the heat didn't help either so just imagine how bloated and puffy my face and eyes were! My facial therapist did an amazing job to calm my skin, debloat my face and eyes so I could look pretty again for another night out in Vegas. She also introduced her makeup artist sister to me the last minute cause I couldn't find anyone at the moment. Her sister was kind enough to get to our Vdara loft in time and did a good job on me! The gym and smoothie bar were downstairs, I tried a green smoothie which was refreshing but too rich for me. And I usually prefer to eat my greens not to drink them. I reserved a message for May 26 for 2 that was booked on March 22. We are staying next door at the Bellagio and thought this would be nice to try something new. We plan everything when we come to Las Vegas. We received a text at 9:26 on the day of the message that at the conclusion of our messages we will have no more than 10 minutes to leave since we were last apppointment. That sounded extreme and were told we could shower and dress if we do so quickly and the lights go out at 5:00. I asked to cancel and were told we could come at 3:00 so we could at least shower. There is a 50 foot connector bridge between Bellagio and Vdara that we found out was closed. I asked about the best way to get to Vdaraand were told to go through Aria and it was simple. What we thought originally would be a 10-15 minute walk was about 40+ minutes. WE left our room at 2:00 and arreived at 2:45. We left extra time, but never expected what it became. We were told this is all our fault and we would be charged for the messages or ammenities we did not use since we should have gotten into a time machine and gone back 4 hours when we could canceled had we known that getting from Bellagio to Vdara is not reasonable. In fact we saw when we arrived at Vdara that there is a shuttle to Bellagio that was never mentioned. I received multiple reminders about the appointment and was never warned about the access and how bad it would be or that we would be kicked out of the Spa immediately after our appointments hours before our appointment after it was too late to schedule at another Spa. read more

As a special treat for me, my mom purchased us each a service at the spa over Labor Day weekend, with our 100 minute services -- one signature massage and one Marine Detox Mineral Wrap-- scheduled for 3pm on Sunday, Sept. 4th. The services themselves were fantastic but every aspect of the spa itself-- from the payment, to the space, to the staff and management-- was less than relaxing and far from luxurious. We arrived roughly 2 hours before our services in hopes of taking advantage of the facilities. The comprehensive list of amenities in the so area is literally just: Sauna, Steam Room and Hot Tub-- so pretty much just what you'd find in the locker room of any decent gym. In addition to having limited amenities, the spa has limited space- we ended up leaving for an hour so that the group of loud women in the hot tub would clear out and we could have some peace and quiet without being crowded. The staff at the spa does not enforce any noise level and they also do not enforce any phone policies. A woman was on her phone in the hot tub for a solid 30 minutes. I also found the level of cleanliness to be lackluster. The hot tub appeared to have a build up of sand (of unknown origin) caked into a corner and the grout was disgusting. There also was a piece of excrement in one of the 4 bathroom stalls for our entire stay. Additionally, while yes there are "snacks" and juices, none of the snacks are gluten free, other than the fruit bowl, which consisted of overly ripe red apples and bananas. My mom and I have been to several spas over the years, including Omni Spas, and, as a local, my boyfriend and I have been to the nearby Canyon Ranch Spa. Compared to all of these experiences, The Spa at Vdara was not only the most expensive but also included the fewest amenities but also the worst customer service. While we were already disappointed by our experience at the spa but went into the services with an open mind and the services were so lovely, we were almost willing to set aside the numerous complaints we had. However, in addition to all of the flaws described above, after we completed our 100 minute services and returned to the locker room to shower around 4:15pm, we were appalled to learn that the hair tools for drying your hair were removed to be sanitized and that the spa technically closes at 5Pm. We were getting ready around 4:45pm and had been in the locker room area the entire time and the tools were not out so they clearly removed them well before closing. We were never informed of the 5Pm closure or that "amenities" would be removed. We planned to check into our room for the night after cleaning up but, instead, we had to check in with wet hair, feeling less than zen after dropping close to $800. Before leaving for the lobby, my mother shared her concern with the receptionists below the spa area and received a whopping 10% discount. My mom and I were initially thrilled to see that a refund was issued for the final amount charged a few days ago, believing that the facility valued her emailed letter and cared about their guests' experience. Unfortunately, this was not the case. They accidentally charged her card $715 TWICE so the refund was for one of the two payments and really just was the Cherry on top. If you're looking for a real spa experience in Vegas and any semblance of customer service, the Spa at Vdara is not the place to go. If you're looking spend an insane amount of money for access to a hot tub, sauna, and steam room, I recommend signing up for a free gym membership rather than wasting your time here. The service technicians deserve 5 stars which is the only reason I'm giving 2 stars rather than 1. read more

Pricing; let's just say that one gets what they pay for. Make sure that you tip properly too. The perks for the proper tip are always felt when you revisit or even on your first. The guest can always tip prior to leaving which is what I usually do, since after the services I am usually out of it. I recommend staying here or close to the strip, since after a complete spa visit usually that bliss fills the mind and body so completely that sleep is what is needed next. This spa offers bubbly fun while here with complimentary fruits and what nots. Their are many packages available for a lower price with the room and spa package when booking, so make sure and ask about these details. You will not be disappointed with the spa here, the five star rating does it justice and beyond. Nails, makeup, massage, spa, small delicate bites, bubbles; need I mention more. My prior visit here left me so relaxed that I was glad that we were staying here. That total body feeling from head to toe washes over me as I walked out; it felt as though I was walking over pink fluffy clouds. Don't be afraid at all either; if this is your first or the fifth visit anytime your a guest here at this spa your home; period. The entry into the spa was a breeze, a few waivers to sign on the line. Then your off to play. The staff here makes it their mission to ensure the sheer joy and pleasure of every visit. The mind wandered off as I yielded to the sensations around me. My body yearns for the sensations to stop as I take in every breath of pleasure. The feel of your hands makes me melt, as your touch passes over each shoulder I am yours. Can this be real? The tension melts away. I am in your hands as you take and delight my every sensation. My heart palpates as your hands are blessing of bliss. How can one feel so caressed by you? As you run your hands over thee the tingles twinge and tickle ever fiber of by being. I decided to treat myself to a massage and self care day at the Vdara spa. Reservations were easy to make, check in easy. The facility is very small. I cannot imagine sharing the small hot tub with others. The sauna was nice, but again, it wasnt big. They called me back for my custom massage. The best room of the day was the mediation room. Although, again, I can't imagine if the room was full. I came in at 830am so things were just getting started. My massage therapist called me to her room. She was nice. This is were things really fell apart. She asked me what I wanted. I told her specifically. I am not new to massage therapy. She then started the elbow piercing, finger pointed torture. Oh, did i mention the room was ICE cold? Yes, freezing. The therapist didn't listen to one request and massaged me in places I told her not to and the places she did was not comfortable. I almost felt the need to redirect her skills, but at that point, I just wanted it to be over. I get that places are short staffed and I am empathetic towards the service but if you are charging a premium, please reeveluate what you are offering. Kazuha who did my facial took note of my skin condition and applied all the necessary remedies for my skin type and did an outstanding job - can't speak too highly. Together with the facial I was given choice of an arm /hand or scalp message - opted for the former - overall my skin came out feeling refreshed. Awesome job Kazuha. Spa was clean and had all amenities to spend a whole day there. I was provided with a large locker, comfy robe, slippers, and towels. Because they want to maintain a zen-like atmosphere, they encourage to leave your phone in your locker. I took the chair closest to the waterfall fountain wall and laid in tranquility for who knows how long. I didn't care about time at this point. It was tough but I somehow managed to leave the zen room. Showers provide soap, conditioner, body wash, razors, and shaving cream. Near the sinks, there's toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouthwash, lotions, face toner, face moisturizer, and makeup remover (which came in handy pre-massage). There's also hair dryers, combs, brushes, and other hair products for styling. For those of you that like to get extra clean, there's flushable wet wipes in the bathroom stalls. I didn't want to leave but it was time to meet the BF for dinner. As I walked down the stairs to check out of the spa, I didn't even realize that my Boo was sitting in the waiting room...lol! I had an 80 minute personalized massage where I explained to the therapist that I have had lower back issues for years and for the last couple of months have been waking up with a sore back every morning. She got to work and told me that my upper middle back had very deep tightness. So I guess she did a little deep tissue which I absolutely hated. I swear because I am a big, fairly muscular guy, everyone thinks they have to completely jam their elbows into my back. It was pretty painful but I have to say that I could not complain with the results. I have visited here twice in the past 5 years. Once for a massage and nail appointment the second just a longer massage. First off, let me just say that they offered the most incredible pedicure I've ever had in my life here! The girl who did my pedicure took her precious time and massaged my feet like there is no tomorrow! I never knew one could get so relaxed just from a pedicure. The spa is located within the Vdara which this hotel in itself is like its own private escape! No casino or smoking on the bottom floor and the whole place is just calm which is very unlike Vegas strip! The second time and most recent trip I made out there I visited Espa for a 1.5 hour deep pressure massage with Phillip. Phillip was incredible and DEEP. Probably one of the deepest massages I've ever experienced and I get massages monthly. I made a big mistake and didn't drink water after. Please do yourself a favor and drink LOTS of water. This service really flushed toxins out of me and I was sore for days after this service. If you have lots of knots and tension, request Phillip. He was super professional and let me relax and enjoy it not talking the entire time which is so important when you pay the price for these nice spa services! The actual spa itself is nice but small!!! My best friend and I enjoyed the hot tub and if there was anyone else in there I know we would just feel crammed which is crazy. We enjoyed the nice heated lounge chairs next to the hot tub as well which again, there was only two! The products were all nice and wonderful brands. Their spa collection lotions, etc. was also available to try and they were incredibly smelling!!! There wasn't anyone working behind the spa (putting towels up, offering waters, etc.) available that I could see. Overall, the service was great the facility itself I've seen nice in Vegas. Also, another favorite thing that the facility offered besides the wonderful hair products, etc. was that there was freshly baked cookies right outside the rooms where you get called back to get rubbed on plus a bathroom right there so if you have to visit the restroom in the middle or right before your service you don't have to walk 3 miles back to find a bathroom! read more

I love the spa and what better way to relax after hours of walking each day in Las Vegas? Everyone ranging from the greeter to receptionist and massage therapist were great. I was able to recharge myself with my 2 hour visit to the Vdara Spa. They have a meditation room where you can rest or even take a nap after your services. My only request is to see water or tea with glasses and not plastic cups or water bottles. That's a lot of unnecessary waste, but I have a feeling that's just how Vegas does things. Would be nice to be a little more environmentally friendly though. read more

The spa is small compared others in Vegas. I found it to be clean overall. I set up a massage and was told I would get a male therapist. When I arrived for my appointment I was surprised to get a female. I found the entire massage to be okay but it was not what I was expecting so it made me very tense and nervous. When I questioned why the change I was told that because I had no gender preference that they had switched the calendar on me. I explained to them that they set the expectation of a male and that's what I was ready for and that is not what I got. If you like getting what was represented this may not be the place for you. read more

I stayed at the Vdara for a birthday trip and booked a bamboo massage at the spa for my birthday. I can't remember everyone's name but my experience with every member of the staff was great from beginning to end. They included a mimosa while I waited for my service as a birthday gift. The spa was small but very beautiful and calming. The bamboo massage was AMAZING and I'd highly recommend trying one if you haven't had one. It was the best massage I've had in a really long time. Afterward, I hung around and used the hot tub and relaxed in the meditation room all day since that was included with my service. They also have a wet and dry sauna that I didn't use. Definitely helps to make that price tag more palatable when extras are built in. I felt truly pampered for my day and I really appreciate everything that they did to make the experience great. This was a phenomenal experience, I had the opportunity to use ESPA while I was staying at VDARA it was like a night and day difference from the SPA that was just next door (aria) When I arrived, there were no people and I had the facility to myself, I got permission and took some amazing pictures of the amenities. If you are going to stay at VDARA and keep relatively busy, you need to consider the multiple-day spa pass it's a great way to finish out a workout, the steam shower had a shower inside of it so you won't get too overheated, the dry sauna is very warm and invigorating , lots of great little treats, unlimited juices and water, great little trail mix and cookies setup, did I mention that it was quiet? if you like privacy and if you like to have more space to yourself, use ESPA. read more
