This place is always busy and a few weeks ago my wife and I stopped in for some breakfast which was amazing! Dining in is like taking a step back into time with some very cute 50's diner decor! Today I stopped in to try a cheeseburger because I was recently in the local barber shop when an older gentleman stopped in and was raving about the cheeseburger at Nutcracker saying it was one of the best burgers he's ever had! My experience was much different. The burger is advertised on the menu as a local favorite which is an 8oz patty cooked to your preference. I ordered mine to be cooked medium. The burger came out quick but was not what it is all cracked up to be. The patty to bun ratio is far from perfect and the patty is so thin that I'm not even sure why they even ask how you would like it prepared because it's hard to get it cooked any other way than well done and beyond. Burger came with a nice slice of burger lettuce but the patty tasted like it was a frozen patty and certainly not fresh ground beef made into a patty. No flavor or seasoning just a thin patty that left me disappointed. I've eaten here before and their food is always fantastic as well as their service. Place is always busy which speaks for their reputation in itself. The point of this review is not to say it's not a great place to eat, because it is. The point of this review is to let other hamburger lovers what to expect....a thin patty that tastes like a frozen premade burger with no seasoning or flavor. I will be back but not for the cheeseburger!

Nutcracker Family Restaurant was a delightful bit of classic American diner nostalgia. The servers were super friendly and helpful. Nothing like a classic home style restaurant. I had the meatloaf stack. Perfectly Delicious. I definitely plan on stopping by again if in the area. Menu had so many diner classics I wanted to try. I will be recommending them to my friends and family.

We love coming to the Nutcracker when we are in town! Definitely our go to when it comes to the Pataskala area. The cool vintage decor and the jukebox add much to the experience! The food and service is always great! A real gem in Pataskala!

Haven't been here in almost 4 years. Friend was in town wanted to go. Service is above average. Place is clean. The food just sucks. I am convinced it's just GFS. $18 for a 1/4 lb cheeseburger. FF and soda. Thats a dollar more than the last time I went and you don't get two sides with the platter anymore. I just don't get the appeal of this place

If you love 50s diners, Christmas, or nutcrackers - the Nutcracker Family Restaurant is your place! I was in so much awe when I first stepped into the diner - it is so cute! First off, diners are my jam! Second, I absolutely love Christmas. Third, I love collecting nutcrackers! I recently discovered that the Nutcracker Family Restaurant is my 15-year-olds favorite restaurant. That should instantly tell you something! The servers/service is great, the cost is low, and the food is absolutely delicious! They also support our veterans! I ordered the skillet breakfast, my husband and bonus son ordered the big breakfast, and our daughter ordered the kids french toast! Everything was seriously so tasty! The cheesy hashbrown casserole was my favorite! We also ordered four pie slices to go. While everything on the menu's cost is low - I would say that the single pie slices are not as low in cost - they are $4 each. It would have actually been cheaper to buy a whole pie; however, everyone wanted a different kind of pie (rolling eyes). I definitely cannot wait to go back! If you have not been to the Nutcracker Family Restaurant, I highly recommend stopping by the next chance you

The ambiance is very inviting. There's comfortable booths and tables/chairs. Our server was polite and checked back often. I ordered a bowl of chicken soup and it came out hot and delicious. Lots of chicken and the broth was tasty. Hubby ordered a cheeseburger and fries. He thought the sandwich was delicious and fries crispy! We each ordered a piece of pie to go!

Charming decor and friendly staff. However, my experience was ruined due to an error on my take out order. I placed an order for three additional meals with an add on order of sausages. Easy, right? I initially thought so, so I wasn't concerned about my order being incorrect. I get home and my order is missing main items like pancakes, french toast, utensils, and it looked as if the order was just slapped together. I call immediately and I explained that I just had an eaten there and then ordered additional takeout and my takeout order was incorrect. The nice young lady apologized and offered to have it remade. Now I accepted that and also stated since I have to come back up there what other compensation can you provide me. She then transfers me to the incredibly Customer Service oriented manager named Juan. I do hope you can sense the sarcasm. As I explained my situation to him stating what items have been missed, what was wrong with the order and what I expected ask a reasonable solution to this situation. He then goes on and asked me several questions over and over again about the takeout meal, I explained to him one more time to which he cut me off, overtalked me, and really wasn't listening to resolve my issue. When he asked again what I ordered I said I already told you. At which point, he cursed and said he did not want to be "a$$ hole" and basically gave me the impression that he was unwilling to fix this situation. So I told him I was going to speak to him in a nicer tone that he was talking to me that I wanted him to remake the meal. I would be there in 10 minutes and I would like it piping hot. To Juan's credit my food was ready once I arrived however, he proceeds to tell me that his waitress and his expediter both checked the order and it was correct when it left. Which wasn't true obviously. As a matter of fact, my friend said she watched the waitress grab the bag and didn't open it and just came to the table. I don't have a reason to go get free food from an establishment where I've already paid and tipped the server. Second of all he indirectly called me a liar to my face, which is poor service in its own right. Thirdly, when I asked what other compensation he was willing to provide me, he just simply smiled and said no he wasn't going to do anything. Juan needs to go back to the beginning of where Customer Service starts in order to be a better front of the house manager, because when your server makes an error, you own it you do not place the blame back on the customer. Juan needs to be retrained on how to actually service people, he does not know how to talk to anyone. He did not know how to de-escalate the situation. I have been in Customer Service for 25 years and 15 of those have been working in an escalation department that was the worst interaction I believe I have ever encountered with a manager to resolve a situation. I mean Wendy's resolved issues better than this. Being that this was my first time coming to Delaney's, it will also be my last time. Because if you treat any customers the way you treated me, is clear he has no respect for the patrons of this establishment.

So after a quick Yelp search of lunch near me, the first hit was Olde Towne Cafe and Inn which had five stars. I decided to check it out. I have to say I drove right past it! I was expecting for something a bit more store-fronty this really looks like a house and I missed their signage. I turned around on Rail Street... got distracted at Porters but within five minutes was back on track to Olde Towne. They have a small parking lot which had a space, so I eagerly parked and popped i side. It is super cute. Very farm house-ish. Definitely a old house converted i to a bed and breakfast with most of the downstairs rooms dining. The kitchen can be seen from the room I sat in. It looked very clean and organized. I browsed the menu and decided on pancakes. They are served with bacon or sausage.... Im not a huge meat eater so I chose bacon and crumbled up on the pancake.... Ended up pushing it off the pancake and not eating it. Not their fault. Bacon is fine but Im just liking bacon less and less. Today was a no bacon day. Lol. However the pancakes! Wowzers. Huge. Fluffy. i got two that were each almost as big as the oblong platter they were served on. I couldnt finish all of it. They were delicious. I see why people give this place a good rating. The staff was welcoming and make you feel at home. Its just a good old fashioned breakfast/lunch spot. Not bougie at all... which to me is a plus "not" to be bougie. Sometimes you just need a place that feels like home. This is that place.

I felt like I was sitting in a warm country kitchen. The place was decorated tastefully and warmly for the season. I will have to come back and check out their other soups. I loved the whole experience here and think I will come here often!! And the service was as warm and friendly as the atmosphere! Hats off to this comfort food jewel!

What got me is the prices set for these little sliders. Ouch! I'm not going to place the prices on here but c'mon, give us some slack on the price gouging. This is a huge deterrent for me, snd almost makes the food taste a certain way, even knowing it may me a 2 star Michelin chef in the back grill. Again the price is what threw me for a negative loop, was it bad, no. Was this overpriced like most bar n grills, well absolutely it is! Can we go back to the red plastic cup prices that we grew up with back in the day. Sorry, I'm being nostalgic.
