It's offered with a syrup of our choice but we opted out as the strawberry and fruity pebbles toppings were perfectly paired. I couldn't resist the lobster roll. Made it a jumbo to spilt with my bf. My daughter and I saw this ice cream shop as we were out shopping and decided to stop in and check it out. This is not your typical ice cream shop! You pick one base from the 7 options, then choose 1 mix-in from a long list of options and top it off with 2 toppings. There are syrup options for inside and on top plus whip topping. The whole ice cream mixture is spread out on a very cold metal plate then portions are rolled, placed in a cup and toppings are added to the top. There are 10 pre-selected options or you can create your own. There are vegan options too. Base price is $6.49 and extra charges for vegan, extra toppings, a few others. Good for an occasional treat. I decided to check out Ice Cream Rollery for their lobster roll after seeing Yelp Elite's Mark K. post about his experience at the Gahanna location. As soon as my daughter and I walked in, we were greeted with strange looks and unfriendly faces. No hello, no welcome for stopping in. After a few minutes, someone stood in front of us waiting for us to order - she didn't ask us for our order...she literally just stood there with two ice cream cups in hand waiting for me to order. I ordered a jumbo lobster roll - warmed and with mayo. I ordered the cookies and cream bowl for my daughter. My daughter was intrigued with the way that they rolled the ice cream and loved her treat. On the other hand, I was surprised by my roll. My "jumbo" lobster roll was $23 and was nowhere near filling. Although they advertise 50% more lobster meat, I noticed that I had the same amount of meat as the person who ordered the regular roll before me. The roll tasted alright; however, the lobster was extremely chewy and I found about three different pieces of the lobster "shell" within my roll. So I went to check this place out and I may have to go again to give them another chance because I didn't have the greatest experience my first time there. I went there close to closing time thinking that I would be serviced quickly. They had a bunch of people behind the counter and a few customers, so it was safe to assume that I was going to be in and out. Well I was wrong. It took about 12 minutes for me to get my ice cream. The people were nice that greeted me at the counter though. I ordered the cookies and cream rolled ice cream. If you have seen my other ice cream reviews you will come to understand that that is my favorite flavor. I was expected to have a fantastic treat. Well I have to say that I was not impressed. The flavors of my order was very bland. The toppings that I had on it did not help at all. It was like they were there as just a garnish. Best in the world? No. It's a fun place to watch then roll your ice cream. They staff has been friendly every time we've gone and I have had no issues with any mix ins or toppings. There is VERY limited seating. Probably 10 steps in the entire place. They have an air hockey table ($1) and a toy claw machine ($1) which may be a negative to parents trying to avoid shelling out more money. The ice cream is good. Not great value type at all. I got strawberry ice cream with fruit pebbles and it was fantastic. I ate my with a spoon but apparently some people eat it with their fingers. It's so cool because they roll the ice cream right in front of you. I was so intrigued. This place gets busy pretty quickly but they have places to sit inside. They also have an air hockey table to kill time. Prices are very decent for what you get. Its $6.59 for a bowl, there's only 1 size, and you get 6 rolls. Generic ice cream served in a somehow already rundown building. The staff is less than friendly, the topping requests go unheard. There's no place to sit either inside or out. The ice cream tastes like great value brand from Walmart. Skip this and go with Whit's, Jenni's, Graeter's heck even DQ is better. It's all gimmick no substance. read more

This is my first visit to a rolled ice cream store. The Ice cream was really good and the my peanut butter and Nutella with chocolate ice cream was really good. The challenge is that they were out of blue berries and I struggle with being out of everyday items when a store is right around the corner to purchase it. My other challenges is they had nothing to drink in the store. The store is missing something. It's just four walls with no atmosphere. This is differently worth a try but bring your own drink. If I could, I would give this place zero stars. The place is disgusting and dirty, looks and smells like they haven't cleaned since the opening. The floors are so sticky and gross. The employees are lazy and literally had multiple safety and health violations while making me "ice cream" which was literally a gallon of chocolate milk poured on a cold stone. They had food and drink items they were storing right next to all of the ice cream toppings in the little fridge, no gloves, cross contamination everywhere. The girl was literally eating while making our ice cream. The quality was not there, it taste like frozen nesquik. If I wanted chocolate milk, I'd go to the grocery store. I promised my daughter ice cream from the Reynoldsburg, OH location. We walked in to a fairly dirty establishment...and they had just opened for the day. There were containers of Nutella sitting out in the open with hard chocolate on the side. They were out of the mint base, they didn't have any whipped cream, and the server had to hunt for a spoon. It was clear that the refrigerator doors hadn't been wiped down in a while, and the floors were so dirty. The servers were cranky. They seemed overworked and we had to wait about 20 minutes for our orders. I almost got my head bitten off when I asked for a spoon. We got the Perfect Butter Pecan which was very good. I love the way they make these roll ups. I did not even want to eat inside with the disgruntled customers waiting 20 or seven minutes for their orders. It was like visiting the DMV. The best place was dirty. We ate in the car. Tables we covered in spilt ice cream and dirty napkins. I don't really even blame the workers for the state of this place. There were empty ice cream making stations. This place was understaffed with workers who were trying their best, feeling the stress and snapping. The management of this place needs work. read more

The employees are very slow. Their customer service sucks! One young lady had a very nasty attitude. They don't greet customers when they walk in. DID I MENTION THEY ARE SLOW? I did an online order that was supposed to be ready by 7:15 and 25 minutes after that it still was not ready. It tastes nothing like ice cream. All I can taste is the Carmel syrup they put on it. The chocolate chips taste like plastic, and there was a line that took about 10 minutes only to be told there is a 30 minute wait, the whole place smelled like it had no ventilation.
