I asked for directions to a room and she said "over there." The phone was ringing and she was more interested in scrolling on her personal phone than answering the facility phone. When I arrived to the patients room I noticed it was very much unkept. There seems to be a lack of care for the patients of this facility. Please do your research and visit the facilities before making any type of decision when it comes to placing a loved one in a care facility.

He had been getting excellent care from the staff. I would like to give a shout out to these people, Nurse Selena, she really works great with the patients and is always friendly to everyone Gringo and Kristi the night Nurses do an Awesome job as well Dea who is a CNA she really works great with all the patients and is very gentle with the patients who needs extra care. Katrina who is also a CNA she is also great on what she does. All the other staff who works here in the Wing: Valley of Fire are amazing In closing, that if I was a head of a major Hospital and I needed to hire Nurses and CNA's I would hire them immediately that's how good they are with the kind of care they give to all their patients.

The facility is beautiful in a Tuscan theme. The staff is amazing, they are the nicest empathetic group of people. The food is a good variety. The only qualm I have is my dad isn't able to feed himself and has been going without food. He won't ask for help because he doesn't want to bother anyone. I would recommend this facility to anyone and everyone. Thank you for taking the best care of my dad.

My 92-yearl-old dad stayed and rehabilitated at AHC (Sunset and Jones location) for a couple of…read moremonths. He had suffered stroke-like paralysis on one side for both his arm and leg. We thought his recovery was an extreme longshot at best. However, thanks to the truly superb staff, he was able to slowly but successfully regain his ability to walk as well as a lot of his abilities to be somewhat independent. This would not have been possible without the amazing medical assistants, nurses, physical and occupational therapists, wound care specialists, case managers and even their maintenance man. When dad first arrived, and for most of his stay, he was completely dependent on AHC staff for bathing, toileting, getting food, and all. The staff was so attentive, patient and understanding (he did get grumpy and stubborn at times as he was dealing with a lot of medical issues;-) They never missed a beat and motivated him to keep working hard and improving. Without hesitation, I highly recommend this AHC for rehab. A few names I must recognize: Himani, Jordan (therapists), Mary, Janet and Chanel (the CNA's), Luz the head nurse, her daughter the woundcare specialist (forgot her name:-) and Arnelle the maintenance man. Arnelle didn't even have anything to do with patient care, but he had such a positive, smiling and motivational presence and got to know our dad and kept him smiling and laughing on a daily basis which is hard to do when someone has just lost their independence and is in pain. A huge thank you to the entire team; they are really like a family.

The quality of care was top notch! All the nurses, CNAs, therapist: shout out to John (PTA), Tony (OT), Camille (student OT), and Gina (ST) were all so wonderful and amazing! I could tell they truly care about their patients and so passionate of what they do. They definitely go above and beyond for their patients. All of the other staffs there were all so wonderful as well including Maria (case manager), Dr. Eng, Joey (PT lead), the receptionist, the kitchen staff, the housekeeping, etc. I'm so glad I chose this location for my mom. They took really good care of her and they were very helpful with any questions I had. The facility is very nice and clean as well. They also give you clear instructions upon discharged, which was so helpful. Thank you all for what you do!

Beware! Don't let your loved ones get admitted here. This place is awful and it should be unlawful…read morehow we were duped into this place after our mother had a stroke. After a hospital stay we were given a list of rehabilitation centers and then were told afterwards that she was denied at our primary choices. They pressured us to take this place only to find out later that no applications took place. The degree of unprofessionalism was astounding. Understaffed. Rehabilitation specialists on vacation with no backup. Dirty. Poor equipment. No transparency and egregious communication between nursing staff and the outside partners in rehabilitation. Advocating for care for her and other patients I met became a full time job. Mom developed an avoidable bedsore that is still hard to heal even months after transferring out of there, which has compromised her wellbeing and will to live. Healthcare in America should be better than this regardless of age or income.

In general I don't post negative reviews and…read moretry to focus on the positive, but after 2 weeks here we were given 24 hours to move our 94 year old immobile mother out of the facility or pay $600/day. I'm not complaining about that so much as the lack of notice, the lack of explanation on what our options were and the utter lack of concern about the stress surrounding all of it. They should know more about how the process works than I do - and they either don't, or don't care enough about the family the patient or the process to explain any of it. I know more about how Medicare, medigap and supplemental insurance than the management of this facility after going through this process one time. The care here is good enough. Some wonderful nurses and some impatient ones. But it's a tough job and I appreciate anyone doing this for a living. But understand the process and be ready to be thrown out with no safety net and no help figuring it all out with literally no notice. Once insurance because an issue they were relentless over a 24 hour period about getting her out. OK - I get it, nothing is free. But they know the process, we don't and they really offered no help in what to do next since she couldn't go home. PS : our mom passed within a week of getting kicked out of here and honestly the stress of it all was a factor.

I'd give Encompass Health a '10' out of 10…read more First-rate care from every department, from nursing and medical care to physical therapy, occupational therapy to speech therapy to the dietary department. (Let's just say I didn't lose any weight, and my appetite didn't suffer either). Unfortunately, I suffered a stroke, and though it was mild, the whole experience was scary. I'm just 68 years young...I was transferred to Encompass from Summerlin Hospital, and I had to work at learning how to use a walker and strengthen my muscles to be able to walk independently again, and to even learn how to dress myself again. Did I say, 'it was scary?'Gradually, my fears were alleviated, and everyone's kindness, compassion, patience, and cheerfulness, and humor even truly helped me adjust to my new state in life. I even had fun in the various therapies! I'm going home today, and I'm looking forward to continuing my therapies with home health services. Thanks to the staff at Encompass, I have a new lease on life! Many thanks...

They gave us so much run around. Kept asking for the same paperwork we had already given them. Only person you can speak to is at the front desk of the lobby. They don't return calls. They simply don't respond. Don't go there. You'll regret it. Can't get past the front desk in the lobby and I have a feeling they just don't like the insurance as I have read other comments on other sites. Poor service.
