Excellent food, great atmosphere, and superb service! Came here for lunch and wasn't sure what to expect since it opened recently. I felt that the flavor profile of all their Indian dishes was very authentic and food tasted exceptionally fresh. Portions were large and easily fill one person and if you're not too hungry can be split for 2. Nothing bad to say about the experience, would highly recommend to anyone!

For those familiar with the PNW chain, Squatters feels like the Utah equivalent of McMenamins, in a…read morecertain way: certainly not in quirkiness, style or ambiance (of which they could not be further apart), but in their ubiquity - it seems like they're everywhere, even though there are only four(?) of them. We visited at least two, during our four days in SLC. This one was the first: a cathedral-style brewpub with a sports bar aesthetic, with decent food, decent drinks, decent service, and decent prices. Everything was decent. You're not likely to be disappointed by anything you order, but you're not likely to be blown away by anything, either (another thing Squatters has in common with McMenamins, I'd say). During our second visit (to another location, but I'm sure the same rule applies), our party was only interested in ordering drinks (one per person, mind you), but we were informed that we *had* to order some sort of food to accompany them (I'm sure this is more of a Utah thing, rather than a Squatter's thing, but still annoying), so bear that in mind if you're looking for a place to just chill with a beverage and watch a game. Still, the vibe here is lively and friendly; assuming your server is as well, which was a coin flip, in our experience. For a fast, casual chain of brewpubs, Squatters has a lot going for it, and I can see why they are popular, as clearly as I can see ways in which they can improve. A little more focus, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence, and Squatters could absolutely dominate in SLC, and beyond.

I ordered a salad and it was huge and fresh. We also had lots of apps that were good. Some were good sharing sizes some def need to order a few. Others seem to like their food too, but this is your classic American fare and pub food hard to get wrong.

We shared a taste of our plates just to try and I got to say this is an easy review. All three plates had a unique taste of their own and all were very flavorful, fresh, and seasoned perfectly. Live music drew most of the customers to the courtyard, so we saddled up to the bar and knocked one back before joining the party, which sadly ended about 20 minutes later, but we still had a great time! Both staff and patrons were friendly, welcoming and engaging; drinks were reasonably priced; the food menu looked great (although we didn't order anything), and the whole place had a buzz of excitement and activity that made it feel like the place you wanted to be at night. Honestly, if I lived in SLC, Gracie's would easily be in my rotation of favorite drinking establishments. Very fun!

For the month of June, Gracie's is packed with night after night live music, which for us was a DJ set on the first floor when we entered. Cover fee at door was $5 each, wasn't entirely bad but after ordering our food and drinks, it felt like we got priced on everything, even for fry sauce that the waitress offered. We had the spinach & artichoke dip, the garlic burger, and Shepard's pie, as well as two cocktails - Aperol spritz and a french 75. The French 75 was served in a glass full of ice, so it didn't really taste like the traditional cocktail so we ended up ordering different drinks. The s&a dip was good, nothing special. The garlic burger was juicy and very apparently garlic. The Shepard's pie came with a roll and butter, which the butter sat on the hot plate for too long and became complete liquid. The chili oil drizzle was nice but did not add the kick in spice we were hoping for, the mashed potatoes and gravy were pleasant however the meat part of that dish tasted so dense, it was difficult to finish. With the loud DJ set on the first floor, large groups of 22 year olds on the patio, and the food and drinks being alright, I feel like the idea of Gracie's is better than some nights actually there.
