I came here after hearing all of the hype... I easily made an appointment online for a spit about 45 minutes in advance. when I arrived I was greeted by the front desk, signed a waver and shown to my room. Inside the private room theres a small counter, a large shower which leads into the float room. They ask you to shower and then step into the chamber. for some reason I assumed that it was just salt added in the water to allow you to float but instead it was epsom salt. Water will eventually find its way to your mouth, it will taste horrible. Music plays for the first 15 minutes or so to help you relax... I liked that, then it goes "silent". By silent I mean that as soon as i started to get in the zone I would hear foot steps in the hall, talking or mechanical nosies. I also found water would condense on the ceiling and drops would fall onto my face occasionally. Another tip... for goodness sake use the ear plugs... water in my ears has never bothered me but afterwards I found my ears to be absolutely full of dried epsom salt. There also were promises of conditioner on the website and even in the in room instructions (talking about not using conditioner before the float, but after is fine).... There was no conditioner, and also no mirror... as a curly girl who had just soaked her hair in salt water I was in desperate need of some sort of remoisturization for my tresses. Bring your own if you're planning on trying this place out. All in all I didn't find myself to experience sensory deprivation, I had some sort of distraction every 10 minutes or so, and found that light leaked in around the door to the chamber. Most of the reviews out here have already covered it, so I feel like I am repeating myself, but the bottom line is this place is a great way to not just relax, but bring your relaxation to a new level! I won't mention "tips" because the staff there is friendly and covers everything you need to know (shower, ear plugs, etc.), so I will go straight into my experience: It took me a few minutes to get into the float room, carefully "lay down" onto the water, position myself comfortably and wait for the ripples of the water to stop before I got to that state of partial "sensory deprivation" (partial, because you can still see the pretty lights on the ceiling and hear the relaxing music, but neither are intrusive and both help me relax), but once I did, it was amazing. All the muscles in my body relaxed, places I didn't even know existed (let alone were tense) suddenly stopped bothering me and left me feeling like the only part of me that exists are my own thoughts. I'm a pensive person, so this was a pleasant state for me - I like to be left to my own thoughts, it helps me "think my way out" of any issues I may have in my life and make me feel better about them. Anyway, I digress, I can explain the feeling to you pretty well, but just like with other good things in life, you have to experience it for yourself to understand, so give this place a shot and see (or rather "feel") for yourself. read more

Wasn't sure what to expect. Came here with a friend. Definitely relaxing. I recommend not using the air/neck pillow to get your back shoulders and neck to fully relax. I can definitely see how an hour in the tank can help you relax physically, emotionally, intellectually, and even spiritually (like meditation). However, I kind of view it like going to the chiropractor if you throw your back out. You wouldn't go unless you felt you needed to decompress. I will come back if I'm under stress and need to relax, work through heavy thoughts, or just clear my mind but probably not just because. Mostly because of the price point ($80). If it was $40-$50 I might think differently. Great experience. read more

The whole experience from when I walked through the door until I was walking out was amazing. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful with explaining everything. The float session was very relaxing I ended up turning the lights off. While in the water I felt like I weighed 0lbs. Lol By the time it was over I was in between being awake and being sleep. NVFloat Therapy is amazing. The float therapy is great for stress relief and overall relaxation (unless you're claustrophobic) and the Halotherapy has been incredible for clearing sinus issues and overall chest / lung support. I have referred multiple friends with cold / allergies / sinus issues and they have all said that they felt the positive impact almost immediately and even more so the following day or two. I had such an amazing experience at NVFloat Therapy! The service was outstanding. The staff were incredibly nice and accommodating to all my needs. They gave me a tour of the facility and answered all of my questions before I began my sessions. I first went into the salt room and then the float room. The salt room provided such a relaxing atmosphere with the lighting and the comfy lounge chair. During my floatation session I was able to completely relax and fall asleep for the whole time. I purchased a floatation session, where I laid in a tub filled with salt water , floating on top, it was so relaxing and serene with beautiful melody playing. This was unbelievable, great experience. First time in the float room. I love it. After floating room my body was so relaxed. I slept like a baby at night. I usually don't sleep well. But that day of floating changed everything. I got the deepest sleep ever in my life. Nowdays our life is so crazy, we're constantly connected to social media, phones, computers nonstop. I was recently visiting from out of town and was in need of floatations therapy. I found this place online and decided to try it out. Not only were they accommodating to my schedule but their service was also incredible. When I went in for my appointment the staff was incredibly nice and they helped me get ready. After my 1 hour floatations session I felt so relaxed. They also offered a salt room therapy session for me and it helped me with my allergies. I was given a gift card to this place for Mothers Day and was in the next day. I knew one thing, take your own towel.. The towels aren't the greatest and after an experience like this you'll want to wrap your self in a soft plush towel. So I arrived, filled out the paper work, was given a tour of the facility and educated about the salt room and then entered in my own personal float room. There's an area for you to change and hang your clothes, a vanity area for you to set your stuff, and get ready at afterwards, and a clear shower door that divides the room. You undress, shower off, and enter into the float room. The water is warm, you choose your lighting, and just float... I thought it would take me a minute to figure out how to get comfortable but within minutes I was knocked out. I did wake up feeling like my neck was being strained and decided to use the neck pillow. I think this was because my hair was wet and heavy. So once the neck pillow was under me I was back out. And next what happened is just amazing... I found myself not thinking about anything, sleeping, relaxing and just lost (a good lost) in relaxation and meditation. I did open the pod door just a crack to allow the cool air from my room to drift over my face (I felt like it got a little stuffy) and once again after catering to my little quirks was fast asleep.... After an hour and a half floating away in LA LA land, I decided I it was probably time for me to get out (I had to go get my kids). I showered and got ready at my own pace and was ready for the rest of my day. I will be purchasing a package for this place. The service is amazing, and it's just a place you've got to experience for yourself. And I hope you do. Let me say one more thing. I'm a spa girl. I'm not one to typically leave a review but I found this one to be crucial for both the owner and its customers. It's apparent this place was manifested from the Ego for its only success is elegance and design which are a home run. Before I continue on with my rant let me 1st say that Sensory Deprivation/ Floatation Therapy is one of the GREATEST tools in unlocking your minds fullest potential (hints all the incredible benefits from stress relief, detoxification, quicker healing, and visualization.) To begin as to why I have left a 3 star review... if any prior research has been done it would be known that water should be @body temp. During my session it felt as though I was in a sauna sweating away, therefor taking away from the experience of sensory DEPRIVATION, in addition total darkness was not possible in the float rooms for they failed to place light motion sensors in the room. All of this set aside a price point @ $85 is near double all the competitors in town with an experience not quite as fullfilling. read more

This place recently opened up in Summerlin next to wear I live, and on a recommendation from a friend I decided to give it a try. I had never done floatation therapy before, and I wasn't quite sure what to expect. Although it wasn't quite the world changing, out of body experience that it has been described as, I found the whole experience to be quite relaxing and enjoyable. The place is brand new, and it looks very posh and clean. You are lead down the hallway into a private room where you are provided with all the ammenties: towels, shampoo, sandals, bottled water, etc. After showering you then have an hour in the floating chamber. You can customize your experience in any number of ways. You can either float in silence, or choose to have soft, relaxing music playing for the duration of your float(which is an hour). In addition, there are buttons where you can either turn on some soft ceiling lights in the chamber that resemble a starlit sky or choose to go the full sensory deprivation route by turning of the lights completely. Being new to the whole floating thing I decided to not go too crazy so I opted for the music/lights on. The feeling of floating felt a little bit strange at first; it's definitely takes awhile to get used to. The salt content of the water makes you completely buoyant and you float on top of the surface of the water. The chamber is big spacious, and most important for me, has high ceilings. After about 15-20 minutes I was finally able to relax( both body and mind) and enjoy the experience. So in summary, I think you get two different things from floating. First the immediate effects: After an hour your body will feel looser and muscles less tense. In this regard, as I mentioned it was nice but definitely not the mind altering experience others have described it as. The bigger thing for me was that night I slept like a baby and feel really energized and refreshed when I woke up the next day. read more
