Literal PTSD from this unnecessary nightmare of a woman.. Let me start by saying if she took credit cards like anormal business and not strictly Zelle and Venmo (ok sketchy) perhaps this might be a better review.. We had to cancel a dress appoint with 2 days notice after an injury to my fiancées grandma, and she said "no problem, family first" and another appointment was made for two weeks later. Then.. a week later she's blowing up our phone to pay the full amount ($750) BEFORE we pickup the wedding dress. We didn't feel comfortable paying the full amount without seeing the dress was done correctly first. But the woman Marie didn't want to hear that. (This women is so ADHD and has extreme problems with parts of conversation that don't involve her being the one talking.) The best way I could describe this conversation was like having a debate with Donald Trump. She never stops talking and she just round and round in circles endlessly and gets mad at you for trying to speak. She was demanding that we "send her a deposit" and we asked multiple times "how much are you asking for??". First and second time we asked she just kept talking about "how nice she is". Third time we asked she said "whatever you want, anything" ..like what..? So we asked again trying to get clarification and she said "whatever, like how about half!" This is why people make contracts so you don't have to do exactly this.. She kept falsely claiming there was any kind of contract, but when I pressed her about what the contract said she got irate and said "you agreed to $750 due", which yes of course we agreed to pay $750, but attached is what she was calling the "contract". There was no signature, nothing about payment dates, nothing about deposits, strictly "$750 due". Then she said she didn't "appreciate our energy" and "didn't like being bullied" from asking her about where it says anything about a deposit and why she couldn't understand why we wouldn't want to pay before we know it was sized correctly. Then.. she got extremely irate and said she "didn't need our business" and she "could have another girl take your place by tomorrow" and then she said she'd cancel our appointment and **"good luck getting your dress back"** and "I'll have my husband and the police waiting for you", like what..? and then she put her husband on the speakerphone and said "my husband is here but he hasn't said anything.." (probably because also like Trump it's hard for her to ever stop talking so how is anyone supposed to get a word in) Then my fiancée started just bursting out crying cuz who needs this kind of unnecessary stress..? So I ended up apologizing to this New Jersey mob wife woman for nothing but trying to ask about these deposits out of nowhere just so this , and we could get our $5000 wedding dress back because my fiancée was worried she was so unhinged that she might cut up or destroy her dress.. After we calmed her down and she kept saying the same things she had said 40 times around and around again about how nice she was to have cancelled the first appointment, and how she had he business since 1998 and didn't need our business but then right after that said "I need this money to keep the doors open you know how it is" like okay it's one or the other not both Marie Trump We had to whiteknuckle it from Sunday night when this happened until the appointment Friday.. but this was absolutely the worst business experience we've ever had.. STOP, DON'T come here. Don't take the chance on one of the most significant days of your life with Marie. Find a better place. TL;DR: I didn't get my dress back until the day before my wedding. And it didn't fit. When I picked up my dress, she literally just shoved it to me and smirked. I cried that day. She was so rude and so unprofessional toward me. The full story: I saw the 1 star reviews here and thought it wouldn't happen to me. I was very wrong. The initial appointment was great. And so was my second appointment where I tried on my dress with the alternations for the first time. I loved the fit. I thought Marie was just going to work on the bustle on the bottom of the dress and have it returned two weeks later. After meeting Marie, I left thinking that it was a wonderful experience and she was going to have my dress ready early. I returned two weeks later and that is when it all changed. I tried on the dress and the fit had drastically changed. I was really confused. My sister showed her the pictures from the last fitting. She got defensive and angry and started complaining about brides. She told me she will call me after it was fixed so we left. She didn't call me for two weeks so I called her. And she told me she was still working on it. I still had a month and didn't want to bother her so I didn't call her for another two weeks. When I reached her by phone, she said she is still working on the dress. This continued until she finally had my dress the day before my wedding. I received my dress Friday afternoon for a Saturday afternoon wedding. When I tried on my dress, it was too big. I had to hold it up during my wedding and place my hand in the middle of my chest so it wouldn't fall. It's not worth the risk. Don't go to West Coast Couture. read more

Marie is a genius. We had less than two months until the wedding when I came to and she was able to do three fittings with me. The alterations I needed required her to delicately remove the mesh panel from the boning and she did so and artfully replaced it and got my dress to fit like a glove. She also shortened the dress and bustled it - helping me select the correct bustle for the look of my dress and teaching me how to do it. She was such a sweet person and I loved working with her. Be warned, she has LOTS of clients, so you may be trying on your dress as someone else is hopping out of hers. Also be aware that this type of handiwork is not cheap! Marie was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING when it came to fixing my dress. There was a horrible snafu somewhere else and it arrived damaged from the manufacturer, and then the original company gave me the run around for replacing it, so when I finally was able to start alterations it was only 6 weeks before the wedding. Marie got me in for an appointment, and assured me should could finish everything in time. She was so confident and clear in her explanations of what was important, what was optional, etc. Her appointments are different from other places - she pins in sections, so my appointments were bust/sides, then hem, then bustle. She made my dress fit like PERFECTION, and did such an excellent job with my bustle. I was most afraid of how the bustle would look because I've had friends have terrible ones, but there was no need for my concern. Marie KNOWS WHAT SHE IS DOING.
