Absolutely terrible. All of it - the work, the customer service, and the experience. Take your vehicle anywhere else and you will be better off. Where to start? Brought my vehicle in and asked them to take a look at three items and call me back with an estimate. They kept my vehicle 4 days before they contacted me to tell me 1. they couldn't fix one item, 2. they completely ignored item 2 and focused on a completely different item, 3. They could fix item 3, but it would take 3 days to get the parts. I think I called for status on the vehicle 5 times. I was never able to speak to Anthony, my service advisor on the phone. I left at least two messages that were never returned. Two of the times I called, it took whoever answered the phone 10 minutes to decide weather they even had my vehicle. They told me they didn't' at one point. Item 3 was replacing motor mounts. Let me ask. If you are replacing motor mounts on a 21 year old vehicle, do you think the bolts might be rusted out and need to be replaced with the mounts??? Not these jokers - Car had to stay in the shop two more days until two $5 bolts could be overnighted. I think I was supposed to be impressed that they had them sent overnight. Was their original plan to save $10 and use the original 21 year old bolts----SMH?! If your master plan is to put 21 year old parts back in a vehicle, at least have the foresight to have the $5 parts on hand if it doesn't work out. GEEZ! The cherry on top. I gave them a second chance in 2015 on a challenger and again walked pissed as they again gave me the old run around and full erection payments, I was born at night but not las night , I wound up buying a camaro from autonation. First my daughter had to have a complete engine replaced with her extended warranty and they won't warranty the workmanship as now she has multiple issues with the install. I purchased a 2020 Gladiator from them and now there is a recall for the steering wander which I have. Every time I've called in I'm put on hold, hung up on, left multiple voicemails, and still no response. I called Covert and they were able to get me scheduled immediately to address the bulletin. I special ordered a 2022 Ram that came with a (nearly) completely dysfunctional "infotainment" package (12'' screen) right from the start. When pushed back to the 26th I called and was told "there's no loaners available right now and we don't know when they will be again AND even if they were you could only have it for a couple days". Which didn't make a lick of sense -if they're only loaned a couple days why don't you know when they'll be back? so I went in person and was told the same thing and that there is a WAITLIST for loaners which I was only told about after over a MONTH of waiting and the 3rd ETA push back. Why wasn't I told when they knew my car would not be drivable for weeks? Who knows. First eta: Nov 23 Second eta: Dec 12 Third: Dec 26 Fourth: Jan 3 Fifth (just notified today): Jan 9 I have an active case with Jeep customer care started before Christmas for the part and am waiting for a call back after this news. For the record, my lease is up in Feb. I've already had to rent two vehicles for Thanksgiving and Christmas. The extended warranty covering the part only covers 5 days of rental PER BREAKDOWN. This part is failing in Jeeps all over the country and thousands are waiting on it yet it's not a "recall". Never buying a Jeep again and never using Nyle Maxwell's service center again. Do not use them unless you want to babysit the work on your own vehicle and constantly call for updates. They still wanted to blame the Chrysler for the backordered part which obviously they cannot help. First off, (let's be honest), car buying isn't the most fun process, and nobody wants to come out on the losing end of such an expensive transaction. I spent a recent Saturday driving to several dealerships in order to try and put myself in the best possible position to win. I wanted to test drive and compare pricing and be as educated as I could be on the options, trade-in value for my existing car, etc. I worked with Miss Johnnie Vance who I found to be conversational and easy to work with. I had some questions about the numbers, and Mister B came out to talk with me. It was obvious he was motivated to work with me, and we ended up agreeing to a price and getting it done quickly. I work to be an educated consumer. Personal finance is a hobby of mine. I enjoy making the numbers look good. I am not impulsive, nor I am one to get new car fever. I can walk away without remorse if I don't appreciate the terms. Furthermore, I am not motivated to get the seller to 'break-even' or lose money on their end. If I get a price thats fair and am treated well, its totally reasonable to expect the seller to make money for their time and efforts as well. I say all of this to say, at no point did I feel like I was being taken advantage of or getting the wool pulled over my eyes. I am not naive, nor am I in cahoots with the seller. I am simply an individual who appreciates honest and fair service. I was treated well, my trade-in value was absolutely fair, and I walked out satisfied with an efficient and honest transaction. With all of the skepticism that goes along with this type of purchase, I am happy to share my positive experience in hopes that honest businesses get patronized more. Based on my experience, Mister B was eager to work with me, and I walked out completely satisfied. In my case, they went above and beyond, and I hope your experience is as positive as mine was. Ouch, gotta go with 2 stars for these folks. 2 stars, because everyone was very friendly and everything was very clean. I wouldn't recommend doing business here if you have a trade in. They offered me 3k less for my trade in than San Antonio CJD did. That was a deal breaker!!! We have been to around 6 dealerships jeep searching, and they bid almost as low as AutoNation. Echopark, Infiniti of Boerne, and San Antonio CJD offered the most. It seemed that this dealership literally stalled to find out what my payoff amount was, then when my bank took a while to get the amount to me, they pulled the numbers from my credit report!!!! I would have been upside down in my auto loan had I stayed with these guys. Instead, I was able to put down a 3k down payment, plus tax credits, AND the down payment I had already planned to do on my own. I lost my car in the Tax day flood in Houston. Then I lost my car in hurricane Harvey. I came to Austin with the intent of not getting screwed over because I had already attempted at purchasing two vehicles in Houston that I found out were flooded. I felt safe going to Austin. If you read my other reviews on YELP, they've been nothing but positive. Yvette, so nice and attentive, internet sales..sold me on the jeep of my dreams. Drove from Houston to pick it up, it smelled horrifying...like they were masking a long term smokers stench. The "black" wheels in the pictures...no. They were simply sprayed black and after good photography work, looked like they were truly bad to the bone black rims. The spray was peeling and completely ruined the overall look of the the car which I had traveled to purchase and Organized everything over the phone (stupid I know...now I know, thought they were sincere). Pick up the car, its stinky, not that clean, wheels peeling...not detailed. The New Jersey registration sticker is still on windshield (where it came from) Yvette tries to scratch it off because the "detail" team didn't. She scratches off the windshield tint and obviously feels apologetic and says "I'll have them send you a $100 gift card to fix this." Okay! No problem. One month later, nothing. I contact her, "they should have sent it, I'll make sure they resend it." I contacted her again a month later knowing it probably wouldn't ever be sent, nothing. I want to give her the benefit of the doubt, but I gave her chances. If I didn't love the car so much, I would have left in total anger. I made an appointment for a recall item on my 2021 Ram Truck. The problems began when I pulled into the service area. one of the advisors asked how he could help me and I told him that I had an appointment for recall item. He went inside, left me outside, and never returned. I went inside to find that he was GOING to tell the lady that does these but she was on the phone. In the meantime, she gets off the phone to greet the customer that pulled up behind me. I asked him what happened and he said that she was on the phone. She would have the info after she took care of the customer behind me. I reminded him that I will be waiting for the repairs to be done. This happened at 11:00, my appt time. At 11:30 they took my vehicle to the parking lot and parked it. At 11:45, after I told the lady that I had an 11:00 appointment and would be waiting for the vehicle they took my truck to the shop. At around 12:00 the whole employee base of the dealership had a brought in lunch with tables and chairs and someone that was in the company gave them a speech. I was patient and allowed them to have lunch and at around 1:30 she informed me that they were having troubles downloading the 2 disks for the recall due to the internet being down and wanted to know if I wanted to leave the vehicle for 1-2 hours so that it can be fixed. I told them to get me my truck and I left after 3 hours of waisted time in my life. She apologized but that doesn't fix anything. I purchased 3 new trucks since 2018 and paid cash for each of them...I should have gone back to Covert at least they are competent enough to get the job done without undue delay. UPDATE 4/25/2020 They got me my key fob (hence the ONE star)... Then Luis approaches me in the parking lot and gives me a half-hearted apology. I tried to explain to him "you CANNOT hang up on customers. It is unprofessional and unacceptable." He then got belligerent and started arguing with me. I advised him that had my wife not loved the car, he would not have sold it yesterday. 1) Someone just shelled out $30k and is telling you what you could do better to give you longevity in a tough business. Put your ego aside and listen. 2) You DO NOT curse at a customer in the parking lot (or anywhere) in front of everyone. 3) Another salesman, Don (?) came over and tried to cool the situation down. I told him, Luis made one sale off of me, but the dealership will never see a nickel from me again. Had Luis been a class act, we would buy from him the rest of our lives. This is a disgrace. Nyle, the person representing you in the lot just accosted a customer. That is a reflection on you, Mike Wilson, Luis, and the whole team. Original review: If I were Nyle, I would rethink this group representing me. This was a POOR reflection of him, and the racism could tarnish his reputation. 1) They TOOK FOREVER to do anything. It took FIVE HOURS across TWO days for a simple sale. The "let me talk to the sales manager" fatigue trick was used so much, that it bled into a SECOND day of phone calls. 2) They call me the next day: It took ME calling Luis 3 times (at 3 hour intervals across 8 hours), to get any kind of final quote. Had I not called, I would never have heard from him. A paying customer must not be a priority. 3) When I counter-offered my trade, Luis went into talking points. When I asked him to stop doing that, HE HUNG UP ON ME. 4) Then, we buy the car (my family wanted it. I was ready to walk), they took THREE HOURS to get papers signed. 5) When they took pictures of the car cockpit, and the FULL N-word (ending in the hard-R) was displayed in the photo on the radio. I have screen caps. As much as people shook it off there ("We can't control what's on Sirius") is still NOT OK in my book. Management's reaction is a reflection on Nyle. Their approach makes me assume he is ok with that kind of language. 6) I was not provided a second key fob on my new 2020 vehicle. They promised me it is coming Monday, my trust in this organization is NIL. 7) THE ONLY saving grace was the vehicle price for the trim package. If it was the same price anywhere else, I would have bought elsewhere without hesitation. I bought a brand new truck on April 14, 2022 and paid cash. They sold me tint on the windows, step ladder, and liner for the bed. They said that they had to keep my truck to install the items. It had 27 miles on the truck. They failed to tell me that they were going to have vendors drive my truck to install the items. They put 63 miles on my truck. I did not even take possession of my truck. I told them that I did not want the truck and the general manager said, "Oh well, you signed a contract, so the truck is yours." They did not even care. No communication back from William B. I've left two (2) voice messages with William B., no reply back. I then called Nick R. (Pre-Owned Manager) today (July 3) to find out what was going on, no call back. I then checked the CarGurus website to see if the vehicle was sold, and to my COMPLETE surprise I find out the price of the vehicle has been lowered to the figure I offered on Friday, July 3rd. I then contacted Joey O. (Pre-Owned Director). His EMAIL reply on July 4 was this: I don't show it to be sold on today's log so I am going to guess that it is still available. I will definitely handle the situation with my sales person and manager Monday morning. Again I apologize about the lack of communication. My EMAIL reply: Sounds good, I'd like to buy it at the price of $29995.00. This is assuming all other criteria is met. Can it be held till Monday? Then we can discuss the particulars. I went here to get my Jeep fixed after the check engine light came on and the scan said I had a small leak in the system. The dealership told me to bring it in to get looked at. I brought it in and the service advisor wrote down my issues and said it would take a few days because they had to take apart the system. Several days later I called to see if they knew what was going on and they informed me they hadn't even looked at it yet. Not sure why they couldn't just have me bring it in on a day they could actually look at it so several days passed where I didn't have a transportation for literally no reason at all/ Then several days later I called them looking for an update since they hardly ever reached out to me, about a week passed before they told me the water pump needed to be replaced and they needed to replace the ESIM detector. I was confused as to why the water pump would need replacing since I hadn't seemed to have an issue there but I let her know it was covered under warranty. She was hesitant/extremely rude over the phone and kept arguing that the water pump wasn't covered and After some back and forth the advisor finally said she would ask the proper department who confirmed it was indeed covered. When I arrived to get my car, I read my receipt which said "customer states her check engine light is on, leaking coolant, customer added coolant but it runs right out". I was stunned to read that because I hadn't added coolant, my car was never leaking, and I had never said those words to her at all. It was then I figured it was the companies attempt to get more money out of me since she added that scenario and then was so upset when I let her know the whole thing was covered. Even with it being covered the price was 400+$ . At that point I was a little upset but decided it was fine since my car was fixed and left without causing a fuss. I drove off, and not even 15 mins later the check engine light came back on. I called the dealership multiple times for several days leaving voicemails to get another appt for my car. No one ever called back. I finally reached them and scheduled another appt. They looked over my car again claiming I had issues with the harness and several other things that were going to cost thousands to fix. At this point I couldn't believe how they could miss all this after "taking apart the whole system" in the first place and it being such a new car. I called "just jeeps" (another mechanic) and went to them. The mechanic immediately knew what was wrong with my car. He stated a hose was leaking which he stated "was very common in Jeeps" and he "didn't understand how the dealership didn't see this". He also confirmed nothing was wrong with the other parts jeep originally said was malfunctioning. AND this mechanic was a third of the price, and so much more quick/efficient/and patient when explaining issues. My check engine light hasn't come on since. DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP. I will spare you the details of the NUMEROUS bad experiences we have had here (so bad, in fact, we sold our Cherokee SRT today after the experience this morning and bought a Land Cruiser), and I will just tell you about today. We picked our vehicle up after a 3 day cosmetic repair which was supposed to take 1 day, but of course they didn't have the part even though we had the appointment for a week. We picked up our car to 1) DIRTY, CLOUDY windows where a mechanic's arm had obviously rested while he was working on the car 2) the inside dash completely dirty and dusty, not even wiped down and 3) some of the work we have taken it for THREE times STILL not completed. Then the guy who brought the car up has the nerve to say he "has no idea what happened or what was supposed to be done but we need to take the car and call back when the guy we normally deal with is there." Are you kidding? WIPE DOWN THE DASH FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!! This seems minor, I'm sure, but if you heard the whole story of poor treatment, even worse service and the time we've wasted with this ridiculous dealership, it would be more impactful. All I can say is they're lucky my husband was the one dealing with them and I'm just a keyboard warrior because I would have lit their asses up. Good luck if you choose to get your car serviced here. I am ecstatic to be rid of a Jeep (that I loved!!!) so I don't ever have to be inconvenienced by these fools again! read more

WOW! Talk about bad! The service department is terrible. They have had my car for two weeks now, after they moved my appointment twice. They haven't even LOOKED at it yet! And they said it maybe another two weeks!! They don't update you and half the time no one answers the phone when you call. Worst experience at any car dealer or service department hands down. Took my Dodge Ram in for water pump. They put a new one on but the pump kept acting up. Had to take it back 3 times. Finally I told them its the mechanic or the part. So the 4th and finally they tried again but wanted me to pay for rental car . I told them why because I have to keep coming back for a issue. Found out it was a bad part they got from their own parts department. To add they tried rushing me to return the rental ( which I had them give me for free since the issue was on their end. When I checked my truck informed them coolant was low ...service manager said it's fine . I told him I came in with full coolant I should leave with what I came in with. Besides that I had took my truck to Taylor dealership (my home) and they called the Austin dealership and I'm hear they both arguing with each other because Taylor dealership said Austin dealership f$&@ up should fix it be of free labor and the Austin dealership finally telling me bring it back. So that's why I was going to pay for a rental. Had dropped car off after work (Austin job) got rental to drive home to Taylor and the dealership had the nerve to try to rush me because of workmanship and a bad part. Yep this dealership I went to Toyota...better customer service and quality trucks. read more

Got lucky and found myself a shark. Don't come here unless you're ready to buy. When I rolled into the parking not there were 3 or 4 guys standing under the shade watching me roll in. By the time I opened the door, someone was right next to me asking "How can we help you today?", and then he asks "what's your timeline?" and "Do you plan to trade in your Mercedes?" All of this within the first 20 seconds of opening my door. Sure that's fine. I get it, you need to do your whole discovery process. That's not the problem, the minute I told him I was looking for the Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit trim his eyes lit up, but when I told him I wasn't ready to buy until next month, I could see his disappointment. He seemed reluctant to even show me the car since it was 30 mins before closing. During the test drive, he was on his phone looking at Facebook the whole time, he didn't tell me about any of the features of the car or tell me where to go. I asked him if I could take it somewhere to test the 5.7L Hemi, and he said "sure" then tells me to get on a crowded road. The only questions he kept asking me in the car war "How do you like it?" and " What do you think?" After 7 minutes of driving he looked at his watch told me to head back to the dealership because it was getting close to closing time. How can I get a feel for a car after driving just a few minutes? At this point I've been to 5 other dealerships and this has been the worst experience. After my bonus check comes next week, I will take my $74k and buy my Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit from the Covert dealership. I give up. I tried MANY times to work with these people. I would rather have a booger wiped on me than deal with them ever again. Period. Their service department is the most dishonest business I have encountered anywhere in 48 years. They will do ANYTHING to avoid fixing a warranty issue. Lie, ignore the obvious, tell you it works for them, etc.. if you hammer them down, they will try to wear you out by making you drive back and forth and leave your car for days. I recently bought a pre owned 2019 RAM. That had a seemingly minor issue with the USB/CarPlay, and a tire that slowly leaked. Seems pretty mundane right ? I mean intermittent usb... obviously a bad wire right. And a slow leaking tire. Obviously a punctured tire or a bent/cracked rim. Well these idiots have turned it into a nearly four month quest for the holy grail. I TOLD them day one. It's intermittent issue with USB. Gotta be a bad wire or connector. But no they checked all that. It needs a NEW radio. 3 months later. Replaced the radio, not the problem, replaced the media panels, not to problem. Ordered new wiring harness. Presto problem solved. Now if they could only fix a leaky tire.... but no. They take the tire off spray it, dip it... can't find a leak. It's just magically loosing 9psi per day. And appearances only when it is in MY possession. I'm the 90 days I have owned this truck, it has been at the dealership at least 14 days, and I know I've put 500 miles driving to and from their lot to take it in. Update : 10/08/19 - So just an update. I dropped off my vehicle and they had it for 10 days. For a radio and tire leak. and still the tire loses 30lbs over night sitting. Mysteriously they cannot find a leak when they look. It was even on the sale order to FIX TIRE issue before delivery. Contacting an attorney for a bad rim seems ridiculous but I'm about out of options. read more

I call and always get directed to voicemail, wait days with no call back. I have gone to their webpage and used the chat on multiple occasions and each time get promised a call back.... that never comes. I have spoken to a service Manager that indicated they are not good at checking voice mail, so why have it. I have gone in and see plenty of employees standing around talking to each other, laughing and joking. Why not anser a phone or better yet check your voicemail. I called Monday morning 1/03/2022 before 8am ans asked for the service advisor that I had worked with in the past-- here it is Friday and still have not had a call back. I have a Mopar Service contract to cover oil changes. I tried going on the webpage to schedule service. it only showed monring appointments and was book till the end of January . I then used the chat to see if I coud just use the express land to get the oil changed, the response was not sure I will have some one call you, I got back on the chat on Tuesday,1/04/2022 and asked what it took to get someone to call me she indicated that they would call me at their earliest availability 7 am- 6 pm. 1/13/2022 still no call. read more

No customer loyalty or respect. I purchased my last Jeep from Maxwell and sold it to build and order a new truck. After communication was unresponsive and I could not get the details needed I made an appt... and once coming in was passed to another sales person who had no context of what I was doing. After going through the build specs I was approached by sales manager who said he wouldn't even try to match another dealerships offer "wouldn't come a penny below msrp" and pointed me to the door. I purchased a 2016 Jeep Cherokee that has been nothing but a problem since the day I purchased it and even though I cannot say anything positive about the vehicle itself, I will say that the service department at Nyle Maxwell has exceeded my expectations. They always answer the phone and return phone calls to update me on what the issue is. I recently took my Jeep in on a Saturday due to a part falling out from the undercarriage when I was backing up and I wasn't sure what it was (again, I am not impressed with the 2016 Jeep Cherokee but this review is in regards to how Nyle Maxwell does business.) I arrived at almost 5 PM and although the service center was closed, a gentleman inside told me that someone might still be back there. At a time when it would have been so easy to turn me away and just say we are closed; nobody is here, these two gentlemen helped me. It was to my surprise that Hector drove my Jeep in and let me know what the part was and said he would follow up with me to let me know if it was in stock. Expecting to not receive a call back, Hector stayed true to his word, even though it wasn't anything serious. I highly recommend this dealership! First time I went there they lied and didn't check the car for multi point inspection, I wrote a bad review in yelp they asked to call them and they apologized. Now, I took the car for regular oil change. Now I am finding a oil spot in my garage. I called them and they want to keep it 24 to 48h with no rental car. Not recommended. read more
