We are cash buyers shopping for a new car. One of the sales reps saw us wandering through the lot and introduced himself. At some point he must have gotten bored with us and went inside the dealership. We came back several days later to do a test drive and asked for him by name (our mistake) at the front desk. It took a very long time for him to show up, then he didn't bring the car in the trim level we requested. I drove it anyhow. He was on his phone in the back seat much of the time as I drove. When we returned, I asked him for a list of that vehicle in the trim level I want that are on the way to the dealership. He said he'd get that, then disappeared inside the building while we waited outside... and waited... and waited. We went back inside and saw him walking around, again on his phone. At that point, we decided to leave. Another thing worth mentioning: he seemed fixated on selling us a loaner, even though we made it clear we didn't want one. No customer wants to feel invisible and unheard. While this dealership is within 10 miles of our home and we've bought one vehicle there, you can be sure we never will again. We canceled a maintenance package on our 2026 Tundra and were told the refund would be processed to our lender within 60 days. That deadline has passed with no refund and no update. We have reached out multiple times to Ashton in finance, Elmer in sales, and even Mark the general manager--none have responded. Our lender confirmed they have received nothing from the dealership. Yet, the general manager, Mark seems to have plenty of a time replying to reviews here on Google if he thinks they can get the dealership a sale. At this point, it appears the issue is being ignored rather than resolved. We are now escalating through formal channels. One of y'all's tech workers came into my job in uniform and proceeded to sneak up and scare me to the point of heart pain. Never in my life have I felt more disrespected and embarrassed. Went to Round Rock Toyota twice in early December with two different trades to try and buy my daughter a new 4Runner for college. We live in Georgetown so figured, "no-brainer" let's go local. We started with Micah who I was very clear about not having me sit around in the lobby for long periods of time and well...multiple 30-45 minute waits later we finally were introduced to Matt Boucher. Matt introduced himself as Micah's boss and assured us we wouldn't be wasting our time or sitting around anymore. HA! Well we came back for a second visit with a second trade option and were low-balled like crazy. I was actually super insulted by the trade in especially after the promises made over the phone. So I told Matt Boucher I'd be back with a third option which we felt we'd finally get decent value from. He told me he'd call me within the hour. I followed up, followed up again, called the dealership, called the dealership again, finally after 5 or so hours and no return call someone got on the phone and said he'd call back in "5 minutes". You can see by the text message...he did not. We ended up shopping through the Toyota website and found what we were looking for at Toyota of Boerne. My wife was so happy about the deal we got on our daughter's car that two days later we bought a new '26 Land Cruiser as well. My wife and I wanted the last Toyota Crown on the lot, we both have credit over 800. The Crown was less expensive than the Camry but the finance guy wanted us to have a Camry because they had hundreds of them. He came out the office with a APR of 8.99% making our monthly payment close to $1000 for the Crown without even running our credit, then he asked what payment we were looking for. Horrible first impression. I will never go back to them. Garrett did his best but you can't coerce someone into buying the car that you want them to buy by trumping up APR rates because you feel like you can. More training!!! These guys in the office are greedy and they are ruining sales for the sales person. Honda was the answer for us. We had money to spend and great credit. We really liked Garrett. MSRP of my Camry was about $28,000. I brought $22,000 down. But Toyota Financial Services shows I'm financed for nearly $48,000. The purchase was on August 15. On September 8, a finance professional at Toyota of Killeen reviewed my paperwork and told me the deal looked like product stacking. He also told me my trade-in would only be worth around $7,000 -- less than three weeks after I bought the car. That was the same day he urged me to cancel over $5,000 in add-ons I never meant to buy. Meanwhile, TFS payoff numbers have shifted multiple times, with no clear explanation. Meetings with the dealership gave me no answers. And Penske's VP of Legal said everything was "done correctly," even though the numbers don't add up at all. But this is bigger than just me: My own son has been hit with thousands in losses the same way on his last car deal. BE CAREFUL!! This dealership is unethical! I bought a 2024 Tacoma for $32,500 as a surprised 40th birthday gift for my husband. The truck I picked out was the Tacoma 2024, but it turned out my husband didn't like it because it was smaller than the truck he wanted. I called the dealership the next day and WE BROUGHT THE TRUCK BACK (LESS THAN 24 HOURS) to exchange for a different truck, but the dealership only offered a trade-in value of $27,500. This review isn't about the salesman, who was very nice and understanding; it's about management. We asked if we could trade in the truck at the price we purchased it for and apply that toward the truck we wanted, but they wouldn't give us the purchase price for the trade-in or the new truck. They wouldn't honor the original purchase price and even tried to take back the initial offer. I would not buy from them again. Please be careful. read more

On 11/29/2025, during a visit to a Toyota dealership, an employee handled my phone and shortly afterward a $5,000 unauthorized transfer was made from my checking account. I did not authorize this transaction. The withdrawal caused overdrafts, disrupted scheduled payments, and ongoing financial complications. The dealership has not resolved the issue. I have escalated the matter to Toyota corporate for investigation and am currently awaiting next steps. I am writing to leave a 5 star review specifically for our salesman consultant Arman Berenji. He was incredible. Very knowledgeable and kind, we really appreciated how well he listened and advocated to our needs to find us a car with features in our price range. He was patient as we made decisions, and continued to offer us experiences until we felt confident and comfortable. He is so personable and we really enjoyed getting to know him as we shopped for our car. He even made sure to get me a snack as i am 8 months pregnant and was there for a while without food. Honestly if it weren't for his kindness we would not have bought a car. He is so insightful to how you're feeling/ what you need to think to give you time to process without too much pressure. We love our new car that we feel good bringing home a baby in! On the contrast, we did not enjoy the pressure and rudeness from his manager, Sam, who assisted in the conversation on negotiations. I understand their role is to pressure and close the deal, was he was really insensitive and unreasonable to our needs and wants, trying to push his own agenda the whole time. We even felt like he was rude and patronizing to our salesman Arman, who didn't deserve it as he was doing a great job. Like i said before, i was so close to walking away simply because Sam aggravated us so much, but we liked Arman so much as a salesman that we trusted him to let us continue the process and lead us to our car. Sam made our experience hostile and not pleasurable all to accomplish his agenda and lock us in on only one car we tried and lost his patience when we advocated for ourselves to want to drive more. As recently as yesterday I received a quote for a used used 2017 Corolla as a co-signer for a nephew; after some reluctance in giving me the quote in writing the Sales manager (Victor) and the sales guy returned with a quote in writing for in excess of $6000.00 more than the original quote. They literally had random charges for fabric protection, under coating ... the basic old school charges that dealerships were charging for as far back as the 70s and 80s. Not sure what happened, but the management has obviously changed within the last couple of years. I'll be heading out to Cedar Park Toyota. read more

Extremely disappointed with Toyota Round Rock's handling of business financing. The communication between the sales and finance departments is disorganized, and the finance team clearly lacks the knowledge to properly structure a true business loan. I purchased the vehicle under my business to avoid affecting my personal debt-to-income ratio. However, they had me sign as a personal guarantor -- something they didn't clearly explain -- and now the loan shows up on my personal credit report anyway, defeating the entire purpose. What's worse is Toyota Financial requires the business to be operating for 6 years (not 5) to qualify without a guarantor -- a critical detail they conveniently left out until it was too late. I feel misled, like this was a classic bait-and-switch tactic. Now I'm stuck paying higher interest for a setup that doesn't even give the benefit I was told I'd receive. If you're a business owner thinking about financing through Toyota Round Rock, do not sign as a personal guarantor unless you're okay with the loan hitting your personal credit and DTI. I found the 2026 Highlander that I wanted online and contacted the dealership, even though it is a 5 1/2 hour drive for us. My salesman said that he couldn't get me a quote until the business day before the day we could come if we purchased the car. I checked back with him late Saturday afternoon since we could make the trip on Sunday and be there Monday morning. He gave me a very high price. When I asked for a breakdown he had included a $2598 Stage 2 Penske Protection that was not on the website. That seemed a little sneaky and I told him I didn't want that. After nearly 3 hours of our salesman going back and forth discussing it with his GSM, we agreed on a price and I said we would take it. 10 minutes later, he told me he just got word that a client from earlier that day was on their way back and he would let me know if it sold. We feel it was the sales manager working us and the other potential buyer against each other and to their benefit. When we agreed on a price and we said we would take it, it was like a handshake and we had made a deal as far as I was concerned. But they sold it out from under us with no regard for our agreement. After the last time I came in here and they charged me for a tire rotation that they never did I swore to myself, I would never come back. In a pinch and needing to get some work done and not able to find an appointment at any other Toyota dealership, I decided to give them a chance one more time. It was just frustrating to make that drive multiple times after being told that they will sell us x vehicle for x (exact) number and then act clueless when we'd arrive. They did this on 3 separate occasions, should've known better but we kept giving them the benefit of the doubt. When we would try to leave they would "go get their business card" in the back and bring out the shady tactics. Mixed review -- really depends on who you get! 5 star for most of the process until pick-up, 1 star at pick-up with a different advisor. The dealership itself is really nice, you pull up into a covered area with service desks all around. No one really approaches the car though so you need to know which advisor to go to. Upon drop-off, the dealership calls you an Uber ride home. I would recommend my advisor Lawrence Torres, who was quick, kind, and helpful when getting my car serviced at Toyota Round Rock. I would choose him again! My inspection was done by Alexandro Orozco who was awesome! The dealership is tech savvy and he took a video while servicing the car to show me what he inspected, what looked great and what needed work. I was rather impressed by this and helped me feel like the job done was thorough. Thank you Alexandro. When all was done, Lawrence immediately called me to explain the inspection and requested me an Uber to come pickup my car from the service center. Upon pickup, he was at lunch so I met with a different advisor. I presented my oil change coupon to the new advisor. He first looked at it like he had no idea where I got it from and I told him it's on their website as well. In almost all establishments you show a coupon when paying, but apparently it needed to be shown before service or the invoice needs to be reprinted with manager support. No problem -- now I know for next time and I wait in the lobby. I'm waiting for over 40 minutes to get an invoice reprinted and since I'm missing my work day, I go back inside to check on status. He's unkind and goes on to tell me how many customers he's working on and how it's my fault for not showing the coupon before the service (even though this was not communicated to me beforehand!) I ask if he can send me a digital invoice and he repeatedly ignores this ask. I go back to the lobby and he comes out 1 minute later to tell me the invoice is reprinted. The finger pointing continues as I'm checking out and I immediately regret initially apologizing for not showing the coupon beforehand. This is absurd. There is no reason to speak to a customer in the way that he did and continuously blame them. While I can sympathize with a busy workday, I came in pleasantly surprised with the service center and left annoyed and frustrated. And that's how quickly a 5-star experience goes down... read more

I purchased a vehicle here on June 25th 2024. I then brought the vehicle back because the tire pressure light was on, they put air in the tire and told me to come back if it kept happening. It did happen again so I stopped by a tire shop to see what was going on. Come to find out the tire they put air in had two plugs in it, was dry rotted, and an alignment was never done so it was driving off kilter. I then called the dealership and was directed to speak to the service manager, when I went to speak to the service manager he said I needed to speak to sales. When I spoke to sales they said it had been too long since I bought the car at the end of May which is completely untrue. He then told me that the service team knew there were two plugs in however this information was NEVER disclosed to me and they never even told me when I came back and they put air in the tire. They are refusing to do anything to help me as now I am needing two new tires and an alignment. They won't call me back, they will not help, and they are claiming the tire dry rotted over the span of 3 months of me having the vehicle which is nonsense. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM ROUND ROCK TOYOTA. I've been kind and patient for months...but this is my full experience. I bought a used-vehicle in good faith, and I'm CURRENTLY STRANDED ALONE (a solo-female) in a remote town in California... RRT will happily take your reliable trade-in (like my 2020 Hybrid Honda Insight), make a Profit, and will STILL sell you a vehicle with a FAILING TRANSMISSION. In late March, I traded in my vehicle to RRT and bought myself a used mini-van for work, and a 2-month roadtrip I had saved up for. I test drove the van twice, and was happy, so I bought the van. 30 minutes into my drive home, I heard a noise that was not present on either test drive. I immediately reached out to RRT and was told to "keep driving for a few days", and to bring it in if the sound persisted. The sound persisted, so I scheduled a Service Center visit. This turned into multiple frustrating visits, where BOTH Toyota & Honda mechanics assessed the van. Initially, they were unable to "recreate" the sound. At the second visit, I left my van with them for a WEEK while out of state. No Repairs Occurred. Long story short, RRT diagnosed the sound as coming from the TRANSMISSION. Angry, and panicked, I persistently kept in contact. I had JUST purchased the van, and transmissions are not a simple or cheap fix. I was led to believe by "expert mechanics" at RRT that the sound was not indicative of a "bad or failing transmission". I was VERY uncertain. But, I was incessantly assured (for weeks) that my transmission was in good working order. So against my better judgement, I chose to believe the mechanics, hoping they were Honest & Reliable. Now here I am, ALONE, broken down in a small town, with a FRIED Transmission, and very little money to spare. I have been immobile for 4 days, waiting. Calling auto shops, and inconsistently in contact with the RRT dealership. I have been led to believe that they want to honorably help "right their wrongs". I've been anxious and frustrated waiting for any tangible plans to form. Things remain ambiguous, while I remain stuck here. I am disheartened, angry, and quite frankly screwed, as I don't have the $7k I was quoted to pay the local mechanic to rebuild my transmission. No word from RRT. Though there are kind and honorable people working at this dealership, I WOULD NOT recommend buying a vehicle from RRT to ANYONE. I will be sharing this everywhere that I can leave a review. UPDATE: Their proposed "help" to "right their wrongs" was an attempt to try to "trade" (sell) me another vehicle. Ridiculous. We were in the market to buy a new car. After going to the Honda dealer next door we decided to check out Toyota. I have one I love and thought we could find something there. When we went in our salesman was being shady. We had a budget, and clearly stated it but even after filling out a long worksheet he showed us a car that was way over our budget. While we did look and test drive this car, it was very nice, it wasn't even close to our budget when they finally said the price, see the stickers are not on the windows of new cars so you have no idea. He tricks us into sitting at a table and "working up a price." His manager yelled at us saying that we declared we were buying a car that day which wasn't true we were checking it out that day. He also didn't want to hear we'd be paying cash either. It was a gross feeling and we left. So sad because I really like the cars, but not the sales tactics. read more
