Can you give 0 stars? I signed up for Yelp specifically for the purposes of writing a review for this place. I am normally a forgiving and understanding person, but what we went through here is inexcusable! WE SAT FOR 45 MINUTES AND ULTIMATELY LEFT WITHOUT EATING...MY THREE CHILDREN LEFT THE PLACE WITH AN EMPTY STOMACH! SHAMEFUL!!
We went to the Chandler location on last Wednesday, July 3rd. We had been here before and liked the pizza, but we hadn't been back to eat within the last couple of years. We decided to try the kids eat free special they are promoting, and given our previous experience with the place we were eager to try it again. ENORMOUS, MISTAKE!
Jeremy was our waiter (disaster), and I asked for the manager's name when we left, but I forgot it in my aggravation after we left. If the owners really care to know who was responsible for this I'm sure they can look up who was supervising on July 3rd at 8:00 p.m.
We arrived to eat around 7:45 p.m. and things seemed fine. We have three children, two of them small at ages five and two, so we were quick to order in an attempt to keep the wait time as low as possible. It took me a while to notice that it took a while to receive our drinks...about 10 minutes. It wasn't a huge issue, but given that the place wasn't overly busy it seemed odd. We took it in stride. Jeremy dropped our drinks off and did not come by again until I started to ask questions about our order at about 8:20 p.m.
I started asking questions because our children and were getting restless, HUNGRY, AND I had noticed that two of the tables next to us had already received their meals. Those tables were seated some time after us, and were getting prompt and attentive service. The table to the south of us ordered plated dinners and the table to the east had plated dinners with a large pizza. There was nothing unusual or uncommon about our order. We had ordered one 18" pizza and two kids meals with spaghetti.
I started asking questions to the waiter for the table to the east of us, because to this point Jeremy had not returned. This was sometime around 8:20 p.m. We had been seated for over 30 minutes and our waiter had been by only once, to drop off some water! The manager was engaged at this point, some discussions amongst them took place, and then Jeremy came by to assure us that our food was coming right out. The manager came by to talk to us and said something about our food ticket being submitted a little late. He assured us that our food would be right out. I was NOT VERY HAPPY, and to be honest their story seemed dishonest (it turns out it was). In lieu of packing up my hungry children and finding someplace else to eat, we stayed.
THE FOOD WAS NOT ALMOST READY. THE TICKET WAS NEVER SUBMITTED, AT LEAST NOT UNTIL I STARTED PRODDING!!! IT TOOK ANOTHER 10 MINUTES TO GET OUR FOOD TO US AND WHEN IT FINALLY CAME OUT THE PIZZA WAS UNDERCOOKED AND DID NOT HAVE THE TOPPINGS WE ORDERED!! JEREMEY WAS USELESS, UNAPOLOGETIC, AND UNEMOTIONAL ABOUT THE ENTIRE ORDEAL.
The manager was somewhat apologetic (half-hearted), offered to pack up my kids meals for me, but at that point I wanted nothing to do with the place. Upon my leaving the manager offered up a half-baked gesture at compensation. I wasn't interested, and kept my dignity instead.
MY FAMILY LEFT AFTER SITTING FOR OVER 45 MINUTES WITH NOTHING TO EAT FOR MY CHILDREN. THAT IS WHY I AM MOST UPSET, MY CHILDREN LEFT WITHOUT EATING. JEREMY HAD BEEN BY ONLY ONCE IN 30 MINUTES! IF HE WERE EVEN SOMEWHAT COMPETENT HE WOULD HAVE BEEN BY MORE THAN ONCE TO CHECK ON THINGS!! There was very little in the way of apology from the manager, just excuses and rear-end covering. Jeremy could have cared less, and to be honest looked like he wasn't completely there...take that as you will. read more
