The first time, I was scheduling my appointment and sharing that anytime before 12:30 was good because my brother was visiting. While I was still talking and sharing that I needed to leave at a certain time, she abruptly hung up the phone. Then unfortunately because life happens I was running 5-10 minutes behind. I was driving and around the corner when Tara called to see where I was. I apologized for being a few minutes. She told me to just come and as I was sharing that my brother had an issue with his phone being broken and that was the reason I was late getting it fixed in line, we got late. But she hung up the phone mid sentence. I did get to the appointment 13 minutes late and would have been ok if they needed to cancel. Rules are rules, but customer appreciation and respectfully communicating is a different story. Her tone both times was super rude, short and abrupt and not friendly at all. That's the main reason for this review. The communication style. Not customer friendly. Almost like I was not welcome. She then cancelled my brother's appointment today which was scheduled for 5:30. I felt it was personal. I also noticed how friendly she was to the gentlemen who came after me and I wondered if it really was personal--I wondered if the color of my skin also had anything to do with her way with me. Like I am not as important or valued or respected as a person, but a white male who walks in after me is literally hugged and welcomed with the utmost heart and openness. Pay attention folks. I've been going there for ages now and this is not the way to treat a loyal customer, whoever they are and from wherever they are. I also received no proper apology, but rather a deflecting of the blame. I have a copy of the text message w/ no proper accountable apology as well. The hair stylist who did my hair is amazing. I got the slushy pedicure and it was amazing. It starts off as a regular pedicure, but then the slushy part comes in. They add something to the water to make it look like a slushy. It is warm and feels like you have your feet in mud. It felt really good. After that the tech finished off my feet with a massage, clean and dry. It took about an hour for the whole thing and cost $45, not including the tip. I really enjoyed my experience and everyone should have a slushy pedicure in their lifetime.
