Gave up will be using pull tab playbacks to pay bill... Went to restaurant portion of building with 13 people 1 other table occupied in restaurant. We got take out and we're pleased with how quickly our order was ready and with the food. The person questioned me when I went inside to retrieve the order seemed to be a customer, which was odd, and May account for the lack of utensils, which I asked for. The spinach salad was prepared as requested and was fresh and nice. The shepherd pie was good--heavy on the onions, but some may like that--and had lots of mashed potato topping. The side salad came with the best blue cheese dressing ever! Amazing. The soda bread was a fun addition. The place seemed busy and the staff was attending to others. This is your classic Irish pub with some bar games like pool and shuffleboard. It's a good place to chill late at night with friends. The food was pretty average, about what you'd expect from a bar. As a group of four we got the fried mushrooms (good!), fries (average), mozzarella sticks (good!), beer buddies (very good), chicken strips (friend had them, they didn't say how they were), potato skins (meh), Ruben rolls (meh), and Caesar wrap (meh). I do love their coated, crispy fries as well as their plain fried chicken wings but dang this is a hard place to like due to service. You're able to seat yourself on the left side in the bar area and during football games this place it nuts busy. The servers do float around during ballgames and try their best to take order and refill drinks but it's so hectic. We went yesterday for the late football games and got our drinks pretty quickly after being seated but we waited more than 30min to be able to order food. This has happened to me so many times before. One time, the server flat out told us, they were having staffing issues and food alone will take 45min to an hour to be served, so we left and we were thankful for the honesty because we were hungry and just wanted a quick bite. This place and quick bite don't go hand in hand. I keep going back thinking it's a fluke but it's not. It just takes so long to be asked for your order, and then for it to reach you. Week 51/52 (in 2021!) in my endeavor to try one new (to me) local spot per week! Okay, admittedly... I've been to O'Blarney's in the past, but how have I not written a review for them before?! I've been back a couple times in the last month or so and the experience has been as great as I remember! The first time I ever came here was for a Conor McGregor fight, which you can imagine got pretty intense with this being an Irish bar. Best atmosphere. It was PACKED (pre-Covid days) and was such a blast. They've got an actual restaurant side, and then a bar side with pool tables, a jukebox, tvs, pull tabs, and more! We've sat on both sides, but more often on the bar side which is always a great time. I've tried a few of their entrees and they've all been pretty good. Recently, my boyfriend and I order the sampler to share and it's always the perfect choice! The Beer Buddies are one of our favorite parts - they're cheesy tater tots, and so delicious. Totally not healthy, but delicious. The service is always pretty great and we usually get our orders pretty quickly. Definitely one of my favorite spots to hangout in the Olympia/Lacey area! read more

I lived in Ireland. And the Blarney Stone is one that the locals pee on all the time. This place is no different. The locals pee on the floor of this bar all the time. At least the Blarney Stone didn't serve food. This place does. And if you want to know what it is like to be served camel sh** on a plate and call it Sheppards pie. Then come here. There was nothing delicious about this experience in fact the entire table experienced GI issues for days. And we all got something different. One person got the chicken pot pie and it came out with a slab of dough on it that probably has seen the floor before it got to the table and pissed on my the local bar flies. Pass. read more

We went and got the app sampler plater. Everything was good ish but the shrimp were amazing and I'm not a huge fan of seafood but these were delicious. Good drinks, good music, pool and shuffleboard. The order took 40 minutes, despite an empty dining room, so I had plenty of time to listen to the waitresses argue and complain while waiting awkwardly in an entryway that smelled like three generations of unwashed ass and feet. I finally received my bag full of food from a waitress who just finished coughing into her hands before verifying the bag's contents, and I headed home. I discovered that the food was cold and the order was incorrect. The chicken wings used to be excellent at this restaurant but now they are tiny and unappealing. However, the Guinness mac and cheese was surprisingly good but definitely not worth what they charge for it. If you're in the mood for some mediocre "Irish food", you're better off eating a sad boiled potato at home. read more

This may be a great bar but only a so-do restaurant. We came in after dinner hour but before bar time on a Saturday night. There were plenty of tables and plenty of servers but the service was extremely indifferent. Took too long to get menus, too long to get drink ordered, too long for drinks to be delivered... you get the picture. When we finally got our food it was very pedestrian. The fish & chips my wife got was a lukewarm greasy mess. Nothing about it looked appetizing. I ordered the Big Blarney burger and asked if it could be a little pink in the middle. Server said they can do medium rare but when it arrived, it was an over cooked leather hockey puck. I mentioned this to the server who didn't seem to care. I'm wondering if it's because we ordered no alcohol that our treatment was so poor, or maybe that we weren't regular customers but this experience ensures that it's one and done for us. read more

We were new to the area and were looking for bars and came across O'Blarneys. We love the vibes of Irish pubs so we were looking forward to trying this spot. The first 2 times we came our waitress (Hawaiian island sis) was extremely friendly and always checked on us to make sure we were always good. However the next 2 times we came the waitresses we had were not attentive. It took 15 min just for someone to ask us what we want for drinks, and then another 10 to finally bring out those drinks. Stopped in for the Thursday Steak Special. Walked in and was told, "seat yourself!" So my wife and I moved close to the fireplace and waited. The table was not clean, nor were any of the other surrounding tables. After 10 minutes, I mentioned to my wife, "That they must be busy. I'll go get us some menus." Went to the front desk, asked for some menus, which the waitress went to find. She then reported to me that "Maggie" was at the table with menus. So I walked back to the table, graciously said,"Thank you" To which "Maggie" replied "I can't be in 5 places at one time!" Maggie brought us water as requested, then we placed our orders. I asked for a steak medium, and my wife asked for the chicken pot pie, can you sub in some french fries, instead of the soup/salad please. "Yes" replied Maggie. Our food was delivered. We never saw Maggie again until it was time to pay the check, which was dropped off with not a comment. Upon looking at the bill, My wife noticed that we had been charged for the french fries, instead of being subbed in for the soup/salad. We went to the front area to pay and to request that the fries be taken off of the bill, as we had requested that they be subbed for the soup/salad. Maggie stated arrogantly, "That it states in the menu that no substitutions are allowed, and she was not going to remove the fries. My wife asked to speak to the manager, to which Maggie replied, "you either pay the tab, stand here all night, or walk out on the tab! Your choice!" Then Maggie stormed off. Roland, the on duty manager, overheard this and tried to defuse the situation. He removed the fries from the bill, and we paid the remainder. During our interaction with Roland, Maggie stormed by again, saying, "They are bad customers!" My wife and I left in shock at the treatment we received. I will be contacting upper management about this and will go all the way up the ladder until we get an apology from the party involved. read more

Our waitress was unpleasant, not necessarily rude but didn't smile once and certainly didn't even attempt to reconcile my hideously mushy and tasteless meal. When I was asked about how the food was, I let her know that the carrots were mushy & tasted like tap water, that the sausages were bland and that over all the meal was extremely disappointing. She just stared at me with a blank face. Not "oh I'm sorry you were unsatisfied" "is there anything we can do to make it right?" Nope. Just a blank stare... I've never received such nonexistent customer service. The table we sat at was rickety and wobbled every time I touched it. When the appetizer was delivered we were not given any plates. This place is definitely more of a sports bar than it is a dive bar which is what I normally go for. But its a pretty cool place. Although Jack and cokes are $7, the place has a lot of TV's which seem to play the Mariners games over NBA finals for some reason (JK its Washington). I first sat at a table wear a server took my drink orders and was pretty friendly. eventually I moved to the gaming bar as the TV had the NBA finals game and the gal there took over and was also friendly. I counted a little over 30 people in the bar area and they all seemed to be there after work. They were pretty friendly. I ended up here on a saturday night as well 3 days later and had a pretty good time. This time it was another guy working the gaming bar and he was just as friendly. It was packed house and I ended up sitting in the corner by the golf machine. Even on a busy Saturday night I had pretty attentive service and good overall vibe from this nice blue collar bar in Olympia. I would definitely recommend checking it out while in town. read more

However, they had a piano player who was WAAAAAY too loud, destroyed the ambiance of the environment and forced much of the bar to go outside in the smoking area to have casual conversations where we didn't have to yell to hear one another speak.
