This place is nostalgia for me - I used to come here when I was younger all the time and to be honest the inside is rather dated and basically looks the same besides the fact they have now covered the windows that allowed you to view into the kitchen. I ordered the loaded potato soup which is a favorite for me - it's a comfort food for sure - it tastes just as good as I remember with chunks of potatoes and bacon. The rolls dipped in the soup are perfect, but the rolls definitely aren't as fluffy as they could be or used to be even when we got some fresh. I also ordered the Salisbury steak which had a good flavor but needed more gravy. My grandson ordered the Grilled Cheese and Fries and some chocolate milk. My son had the Chicken Tenders and Fries. My daughter had the Southern Honey Chicken. I had the Chicken Sandwich with an upgraded House Salad. We ordered a Fried Pickles appetizer. The fried pickles were good. What you'd expect. My grandson liked the grilled cheese. Our friend is 78, I'm 67, and my wife is a few years younger. I ordered a bottle of wine, and our server INSISTED (very unpleasantly) on seeing all of our I.D.'s. I was the only person in our party who had one along. Getting served took 10 minutes and involved the general manager. We were told this is "Company policy". Very annoying and insulting. We stopped here for dinner trying to find something that would satisfy everyone in our party. O'Charley's was a good choice! My kids enjoyed their meals and we did too. The warm rolls delivered to our table while we waited for our food was excellent! I ordered a $5 margarita special and it was one of the best I have had. After many years of visits this location has had many ups and downs. The menu has evolved some additions that are an improvement some items that have left and are missed the prime rib for example. ROACH!!!! Started off by waiting outside in the sweltering hot sun with my recently broken legs/feet/ankles till 11:05 with my aunt and then when the hostess final comes out to unlock the doors...we are the first and ONLY guest to arrive and the hostess proceeds to ask if we would like a booth or a table...we chose booth! She then asks WHERE we would like to sit? I really didn't care cause I just needed to sit, as my feet and ankles were beginning to increasingly swell! So she walks us past the bar, up the ramp to a booth seated at the farthest point of the restaurant after having JUST explained to her that I desperately needed to get off my feet! We order the SIMPLEST, most QUICKEST item on the menu (soup/salad/rolls). The waitress brings out the salads first. As we started on our salads, both my aunt and myself could barely get through eating a couple bites before we begin to complain of too much dressing that drenched our Caesar salads...we couldn't even bare the taste! As she brings out our soup to accompany the overly saturated salads...she kindly offered to replace the salads and brought out new ones...good move on part however...as she leaves the table and seats another couple in the booth just behind us, my aunt notices a ROACH scurry across our table and I catch it out of my peripheral vision! After just having surgery consisting of two bone plates, 12 screws, metal twist ties, 48 staples and weeks of therapy...I sprung from my seat utterly REPULSED, as we JUST began to start eating right as this occurred and believe me when I say that I was "HANGRY" by this point but ROACHES of all insects (right up there with spiders) freak me the frick out! I have never in all my 40+ years of dining, never experienced such disgust and disappointment! By no means is it fun to experience a hair in your food (or worse) but a ROACH above all is unacceptable, especially in the dining area and reaches an all time low in my book! This place is decent, had takeout once before and ate inside the other day. Our waitress was very pleasant and was very attentive to us which is a HUGE plus in my book. I had the breaded catfish which was very mediocre and kind of mushy and flavorless, not a huge fan. Had the potato soup on the side which was flavorless and thick, really blah but I do recommend the harvest chicken soup, had that when I got takeout and it's delicious. The Mac and cheese is also great, tastes great in my book. The cedar plank salmon is delicious as was the chicken tenders. This was not a good experience and really hope the restaurant and cooking staff can turn things around. I did not intend to write a review here because I just wanted to enjoy a night with my family; no pictures of food or writing a review. However, after a pretty awful experience, I decided that I needed to post something in hopes that the restaurant will take it as constructive criticism and make some positive changes. First let me say, the one good thing about our experience was our waitress Kala! She kept things positive and was genuinely trying to accommodate my family. If I come back, I will certainly be requesting her again! Outside of this, there were multiple issues. My steak came out well done instead of medium well, both of my daughter's had chicken tenders that smelt like cigarettes smoke and tasted like burnt grease (even though my tenders were fine), my wife's salad had "grilled chicken" on it but came cold instead of hot and tasted like it came out of a can (my wife has ordered this salad before at other locations with it never looking or tasting like this). We waited for almost an hour to get our food, only to send much of it back. By the time my wife got a replacement salad everyone was already done eating. I could hear several other tables around us complaining of food and asking for the manager. I had asked to speak to the manager, but he never showed to talk to me. I also waited a long time for the tab due to the manager needing to make an adjustment on the bill (which at first I was grateful for). However, only $9.46 was taken off a meal for 6. This didn't seem fair when 50% of the food was sent back. Our two kids meals were already free and should not have been included as part of a discount for an accommodation. In the end this was a pretty miserable experience and only the second time I've ever given a 1* review. I hope this place will improve and better produce quality food more consistently. Sorry Charley! Recently O'Charleys has switched from traditional kitchen equipment to a triple stack conveyor oven...a big pizza oven. My wife and I often frequent here, but that will probably change. My go-to steak is the Louisiana Sirloin. When grilled, with the spices, it's delicious. Run through a pizza oven...not so much. They can't do blackened either. My wife ordered the prime rib, blackened and they simply sprinkled the seasoning on and ran it through the pizza oven. Such a shame. My family, a party of 7, visited this location on 7/29/18 and I am just now getting around to leaving the much needed review. In short, the food was bad, the service was bad, and the management was directly rude to us until the very end when I sought her out and explained how our experience was. The over easy eggs were covered in grease/cooking oil. It was like a bowl of soupy cold eggs. Didn't touch it. Bacon was cold. Ham not edible. It had clearly been sitting under the heating lamp for a while. No one in my family ate much of what they got because theirs looked the same, however our waiter never came by. Drinks literally never refilled. The ONLY redeeming quality was at the very end I went out and sought the manager again and they took 15% off the bill. But that was only after the manager was rude to me and said they were too busy (they had open tables all over the restaurant) and made excuses instead of apologizing for the terrible service and cold food. Regardless of that we would never come back to this location and would not recommend anyone to go during lunch hour (or hours in our case.) read more

I am not one for going to chains but I'll let you in a on a great way to earn 4X fuel points from Kroger and get a delicious family takeout dinner for six. And it really fed six. I bought $50 worth of O'Charleys gift cards to cash on on 4X fuel points at Kroger. It was so hot yesterday so I decided to drive to the restaurant and order a family meal. The staff couldn't be nicer. The young host and hostess were welcoming and the bartender was so friendly. They have frosted mugs for their draft beer. Always a plus. Ordered the grilled chicken breast-nicely seasoned and cooked just right which came with their yummy rolls and butter. My two sides were fresh broccoli cooked perfectly and Mac and cheese which was good. You pick two sauces for the chicken. Can't go wrong with any of them. And I also added loaded potato skins and they were good and came with sour cream on the side. Honestly it was so good. Last time I did the family meal we did the chicken tenders which they are known for. There is a huge selection of family meals all look good. The food was piping how when they gave it to me.
