Here's another place that i won't darken their doorway. We enjoy quiet dinners, we went early hoping to beat the dinner rush, we did, but not by much. When we got seated, the music was low enough that we could actually have a conversation...that didn't last long, as soon as mote people came in, the music got louder, almost unbearable. Not going to tell you what we ordered, but i could tell you what was on the plate, nothing that we ordered! To make matters worse, we had a "helicopter server". I can't stand anybody over my shoulder the entire time that i am trying to enjoy a meal, finally had to ask the server to please go check on his other tables and stop breathing down my neck, "she" huffed and puffed and stormed off, didn't see our server again until it was time to pay the check, which couldn't come fast enough. I sure wish i knew why clarksville restaurant managers don't take more pride in their staff, especially about "hovering" over tables, go work on some side work instead of playing "astronaut" and taking up space and making people feel uncomfortable. Like i said, we won't be darkening the doorway there any more, and to the upper management, please save your "rubber stamp" response, as it will go unread. Don't hold your breath waiting for an email, apparently i can see where the employees get their blasé work ethics, hell, you won't even listen. I said no rubber stamp replies, and i meant it. How do they stay open? This was my 2nd and final delivery order from O'Charley's on Riverside Dr in Clarksville TN. I ordered the fried chicken breast drizzled in honey. The picture shows 2 breasts and that is what I received when the Wilma Rudolph restaurant was still open. But that is not what was delivered. I got one breast with the breading so hard I couldn't chew it and the meat was dry and overcooked. The mashed potatoes was okay but they forgot to deliver my second side of corn. I also added on sup and pie. The soup was in a tiny to go cup and too thick. It was not soup at all. The pie was thrown into the to go box and looked like someone had already started to eat it. The apples were underbaked, hard and sour. The pie crust was underbaked and yet the outer crust was hard. They sell their rolls 8 for 5.99 but please don't buy them. The ones that came with my dinner had not risen enough and so they too were hard and dry. I spent 43.00 for that little bitty inedible dinner and it wasn't even worth 43 cents. If I could give them a minus 5 stars I would be glad to. Never again! read more

It was 8:45pm on a Saturday night and the restaurant was empty of customers. It also seemed empty of employees since instead of greeting me and another customer who stated she had already been there 3-4 minutes and no one acknowledged her either. So I walked around the front of the restaurant where the hostess station should have had an actual hostess until someone saw me, again, and walked up. When someone finally came she was cordial but not friendly. I took my $30.00 order and went back out to my car. Let it be known I had ordered curbside and was parked in the appropriate parking area yet was never helped there either which is the reason for my having to go inside. So I get in my car out of the 20+ degree weather with wind howling and before leaving I checked my order. I had ordered chicken tenders with french fries and a large salad. The entrée was to come with honey mustard sauce, and the salad with oil and vinegar plus blue cheese. Well, I had a salad for about five or six people which was fine although it cost almost $14 for it, and it consisted of iceberg lettuce, nine very gross mealy, gritty and light pink tomatoes, a truckload of croutons and nine cucumbers slices and that's it for $14. I then checked my entrée which was the chicken tenders. They were warm enough, but the french fries were cold and I looked at what was in the white bag and there were two nicely sized and pretty rolls in there but they were ice cold as if they came out of the refrigerator. I had no butter no honey mustard and no utensils or napkins which on my opinion should be standard policy to ensure every take out order has. I did have the salad dressing, but I had no honey mustard. I had a truckload of ketchup which I'm allergic to, so I called and had gotten hold of a very, very polite, pleasant, and very nice young man who said he would remake my order right away as I was still in the parking lot. I got out of my car into that wind and cold and went back inside only for the young lady who wasn't polite in the first place to act like I did something wrong to her personally. I didn't appreciate that at all. She had a sarcastic attitude when she asked me if I wanted to check my order. Which of course I did. I get home and the chicken the two smaller pieces were fine. I guess I didn't look at them, but the two medium sized weren't cooked all the way through. They were still jelly in the middle so I couldn't eat it. The so called salad went in my trash can. Hence to say I'm very disappointed and will never go back to O'Charley's restaurant on Riverside Drive in Clarksville Tennessee again. Beware if you get the chicken tear it apart in the middle and make sure it's cooked all the way through. I'm very fortunate to have seen it, if I hadn't I'm certain I would've gotten very sick. It was an all-around really disappointing experience, especially since the restaurant had one customer in it one and I'm not so sure he was customer. He might've been somebody that got off work and there was nobody else in there. Just the other takeout lady who had ordered takeout as well. I don't know what is going on in there, but I should've had a superb meal and the salad if they charge $14 for a salad then guess what needs to have a little bit more than the truckload of croutons and iceberg lettuce and definitely shouldn't have had mealyand gritty gross slimy tomatoes that were pink not to be confused with orange or red They were pink nine cucumbers and chopped up iceberg lettuce. It was terrible. I've always loved O'Charleys in every state I've been to well not in Clarksville, Tennessee! Nope! Never, ever, never again they should be ashamed of themselves. read more

Hubs and I just had a very pleasant and delicious lunch at O'Chuck's. Our entire experience was excellent, and deserving of 5 stars.. We were seated at a high top in the bar area (always a perfect spot for us), and Becky was our waitress/bartender. Becky made me the best Top shelf Long Island iced tea I've ever had in my life. It was so good that I ordered a second one, at lunchtime. My weekend is starting early! Hubs had the hot chicken sandwich and I had the catfish with fries and Mac and cheese. I would've loved to have some Louisiana hot sauce for my fish, but they only had Tabasco, and my Mac and cheese was delicious but needed a tad bit of salt to make it just right for me. Our table was cleared when we finished anything, and Becky was always quick to ask if we needed anything else. The restaurant looked cleaner than in times past, as did the restrooms, and the kitchen was pumping out a whole lot of to-go orders during lunch. Super place for us for lunch today! read more

I understand that a dinner rush will definitely add stress on the kitchen and staff, but here we go. I ordered some curbside food, 4 entrees and some appetizers. After waiting a full 45 minutes in their parking lot for my food and had it brought out to me, I noticed very quickly that my pasta dinner wasn't in the bag, and with a very tight window time-wise, I immediately called them back. After I was told that she might've just forgot to pack it up in a bag and she'd go check, I had to wait another 30 minutes just to instead be put on the phone with one of the managers trying to offer me dessert instead of a refund. After another 10 minutes after I obviously refused, I had the main manager walk out to speak to me. After some discussion with her we agreed on the bill being taken care of considering my food was cold now and I went on my ways. To sum up what happened next, I was missing fries on all of my entrees, my sandwich was made completely wrong (I'm allergic to what they still had on it) and my appetizers were burnt all the way through. I've been to this one before, mostly because its the only one where I live, and because the Club has always been a favorite, but this is about how every visit goes, bad food, everchanging staff that somehow just get more rude by the day, and a wait time that half-baked rolls just won't fix. My Nashville hot chicken was just fried chicken tenders- ZERO sauce. Ribs were basic. Nothing special. Steamed broccoli had ZERO seasoning. The o'Charley's I've had in S.C. was actually pretty good.im also pissed that I could not order prime rib from the food of your mood app for this location. Why the hell not? In town for Leanne Morgan show at F&M Bank center. Every restaurant downtown near the venue was swamped. Came down Riverside Dr to O' Charley's, it wasn't busy. I understand why the baked potatoes were just barely warm and baked last night or early this morning. The lettuce in the salad was frozen in places. The chicken tenders were not hot but were kept warm under a heat lamp but tasty. I think if the manager was not running around the restaurant talking to Just employees and helping them bring out food and such they might. I usually like this chain restaurant but what happened today was not ok. I walked in and sat down at the bar. Not a soul greeted us. After atleast10 minutes of sitting in silence looking around wondering if anyone was going to help, I noticed what seemed to be management standing at a table with a family, just chit-chatting, someone finally asked did we need anything! Once the greeter was done chatting with another worker we were finally seated in in the bar area. We had come to eat, not drink, and there were plenty of empty booths in the dining area. After being seated for maybe 15 minutes the bartender finally brought us menus and took our drink orders. After 20 more minutes I finally got the bartenders attention and told her we were ready to order, her response was " have you ordered yet ?". My wife did get her salad, but after another 30 minutes we still hadn't received our meals. We had been seated for an hour and five minutes with out our meals. I ask the bartender for the bill for what we had been served at which time a lady, which I assumed was management came by to apologize, we paid for our drinks and side salad and left. Another table in the bar that was seated after us was served, eaten and given take home boxes during our wait, so I guess service wasn't bad for everyone. We have been regular O'Charley's customers over the years but the last few times the service has been terrible. I will not spend anymore money at an O'Charleys. read more

Well that was overcooked slaw has no flavor at all not sure if they put any kind of seasoning or just wash it and put it on your plate. Butter for rolls has no taste and rolls are never browned always undercooked. They only thing I had good today was my beer this sucks I dont get to eat out that often. Visited this restaurant at 8:45pm on the 23rd. It is a hot mess! No person at the front to seat customers. My wife had to go find someone as customers in front of had been waiting for 15 minutes without being seared. Young man cleaning tables came and helped everyone be seated. Drink orders were fine except I never got a tea refill. We ordered the "New garlic steak penne pasta". After the order gentleman came and informed us they were out of penne but could substitute linguini which we accepted. No bread showed up. Took inordinate amount of time to get the meal order, still no bread. Asked the waitress for 2 spoons and bread. No spoons, no bread! After our meal was finished bread showed up. Asked for a small box, no box! Still no tea refill. Could not get waitress to take payment. Had to call another waitress to come and take payment and bring a small takeout box . The young man that seated us was working as hard as he could to clean tables and seat customers . Waitress complained to the table behind us someone should inform them if there are events in town. Terribly understaffed... I would avoid this Riverside Dr location until they get their act together... read more

Unfortunately this location has really gone downhill. The last two times we ate here we had service related problems and the last time, after waiting over 45 minutes for our food, it was cold! We waited over 35 minutes for our rolls, so maybe they were waiting to bring the food until the rolls were done? At least they were hot and tasted great. After two bad experiences in a row I don't think we will be eating here again. If management changes, which I'm sure it probably will, I may give them another try. That is, if the ratings and reviews start to go up. Until then, if you eat at this location and have problems with the service or food be sure to speak with a manager and ask for a discount or partial refund for your meal. After all, you should get what you pay for.....or pay less when you don't. You will notice that nearly all of the most recent reviews give this place 1 star. Hmmm. read more

I used to really enjoy Ocharleys food but the last couple of orders have been not so good. Well today I ordered the chicken pecan salad and my husband ordered 1/2 rack ribs. 1st the food was cold, old cold. The rolls were old. My salad tasted awful. Not sure but I think the feta was bad. The chicken was dried up was impossible to chew. I ordered the crab and shrimp appetizers and the shrimp was not edible. The only thing I could eat out of everything was the crab . Oh and I ordered a gallon of tea which came in 4 cups of tea..... Needless to say that was the last time I will be ordering from Ocharleys. It's a shame how down hill they went. read more

I'm not sure what to make of all the negative reviews this particular location has received. My partner and I were there today and it was absolutely wonderful. The food was good, as O'Charley's usually is. We started with the fried green tomatoes, which were very good. I had the Carolina Gold BBQ Chicken Sandwich with regular fries, and my partner had the O'Charley's French Dip Sandwich with fries. The chicken on my sandwich was very well cooked as was the bacon, and the fries were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Chicken breasts are hit or miss at a lot of restaurants, because most people don't know how to cook them without turning them into dry, tasteless shoe leather. This one was tender and juicy, and was superbly cooked. His French dip sandwich was piled high with roast beef... it was enormous! I didn't think he was going to be able to eat it all. But the highlight of the meal was our server, Darlean G. She was polite and attentive, and just super sweet. She checked on us regularly without being intrusive. She kept my water glass filled, as well as my blackberry sweet tea, which, by the way, was delicious. My partner had the strawberry lemonade which was out of this world good. Either we caught them on an exceptionally good day, or the other reviewers caught them on a really, really bad day. I have nothing but good to say about our experience there today. I even spoke to the manager about Darlean, and she didn't even bat an eye. She said that she has heard compliment after compliment on Darlean and the wonderful service she provides. So kudos, O'Charley's on Riverside Drive! Keep up the good work! And give Ms. Darlean some sort of bonus for the excellent job she does of representing your restaurant. read more

Normal this place has good food and the service is spot on. We went there on 22 December. They seem to be busier than normal, the waiter and waitress where running around like crazy. We ordered appetizers and salads and dinner. Appetizers never made it to the table. The fish and chips, well the fries where cold and soggy and the fish was over cooked. The waitress brought us new fries but they where a little warmer but not crispy. I don't know if there was not enough runners on or the cooks didn't care. Have not been to this restaurant in a long time. I was very disappointed. The rolls had not taste even though they had just come out of the oven. I had the appetizer combo platter. The cheese wedges were not the same at all. The chicken strips were very crisp on the outside of the batter but it was raw next to the chicken. I eat lunch here almost every Wednesday afternoon with a group of friends. The hostesses and servers are really great. Not one of us has ever been served a bad meal. Plus, free pie on Wednesday. Did you get that? FREE PIE!!! I get mine to go and give it to my husband in the evening to make up for the fact that I probably won't cook since I'm so full from my delicious lunch. The Riverside Dr. location is definitely my favorite. You can be sure that a large party of cackling ladies really puts the wait staff and kitchen through it's paces! They always accommodate our crazy requests with a pleasant attitude and a friendly smile. I recommend O'Charly's Riverside to anyone wanting a relaxing break from work or a fun time with friends. Unfortunately this was worst service at this location in over 20 years. We arrived at 8pm no wait to be seated. After being seated no one came to tablet to acknowledge we were there, so after close to 15 minutes a member of are party got up and went to several employees standing around and asked whose tablet we were. They didn't know! Finally a waiter comes and said he was just told to take table it wasn't his. We ordered, water coffee and meal. Another 15 minutes and no drinks yet. Manager was contacted. Drinks came. Coffee cold. Drank coffee asked for another cup warm if possible. Asked three more times....when got check asked what happened to coffee he said we are out. Food took way to long to come out and was not hot but cool. Wife sent soup back to get warmed and with her desert asked if she still wanted. On deserts wife got wrong and they changed I asked for apple pie with ice cream, I said 3 time alamode. Came with no ice cream. I was so done in with service I was ready to go. Bill had soup we didn't get and the coffee ordeal. It was 9:15. Manager was talked several times. Well over an hour just to long for so so food.
