The family and I decided to visit this location after not being there for a while. The restaurant wasn't busy and we could see why once our food arrived. I ordered the Club sandwich, wife order chicken Alfredo and daughter ordered a steak. My sandwich came out and I was a little disappointed. Maybe I am wrong but when I think of a club sandwich I think of a double layer sandwich full of meat. This came out as a single layer sandwich with a few slices of meat, bacon, lettuce and plenty of mayo. Then cut into 4s and double stocked to look like alot on the plate. It was tasty but something I could have made at home with wonder bread and deli slices. My wives chicken Alfredo was good. Chicken was moist but the noodles were under cooked. Big plate of food for the price and worth the order if your in the mood for it. My daughter's plate was the worst. She ordered the 6oz steak with baked potato and asparagus. We were told that the our meal was taking a while due to the steak so we were surprised when it arrived. My daughter cut it open and found the steak to still be blue in the middle and barely warm. The mushrooms on top looked like canned mushrooms, her asparagus were small and shriveled as they were sitting under the heat light forever. The only good thing on her plate was the baked potato. The restaurant itself could use a good paint job inside. You can tell the place is dated. It would be a great place to visit if they took a little bit more pride in the food. With tip I spent $78 bucks and feel that I would have a more enjoyable meal at the applebees or cracker barrel across the street. I purchased a to-go salad curbside and chose the option NEED ROLLS. The young man working brought my order to my vehicle and went back inside the building. After I checked my bag the rolls were missing so I get out of my car with the bag that only has a salad in it and approach the hostess stand. The gentleman who just brought my bag out is standing there. I said "hi it's me again...my rolls are missing". He said, "your order didn't have rolls". I said, "yes it did...if you read the bottom of my receipt it says NEED ROLLS in capital letters". He proceeds to grab my bag from the hostess stand and says oh ok...walks to the kitchen with my bag...returns two minutes later and hands me the bag. I look in the bag to find one roll and a plastic cup with butter. I said, the option was NEED ROLLS plural not DO YOU WANT A ROLL (meaning one). I was told by another waitress that you don't get more than one roll if it's not an entree. I told her that if that's the case then the to go option should've said, "want a roll!" They were petty for no reason whatsoever. Who wants to enter an establishment at the end of a work day to get flack about rolls. I am 52 years old, born and raised in Middletown and will never return because of the rudeness of the wait staff because someone chose not to read my receipt and tell me what it didn't say. It was a Tuesday evening and nowhere near busy in there. My advice would be to read receipts and prepare orders accordingly. Our server was the sweetest ever and made sure we were completely taken care of. The vibe was upbeat and nice. We ordered the garlic steak pasta and the southern surf and turf. The surf and turf was so good. We got asparagus with it. Definitely money well spent on that. Now to steak pasta. I usually 99% of the time always take left overs home, I actually left this meal there and only took a couple bites. The meat was literally rubbery and the sauce was like water. This is the WORST location O'Charleys. The manager is so fake.... She apologizes to you in a very insincere fake manner, then when you are just 2 steps away from her you can hear her laugh with other employees about the situation. Food is made sloppy, customized orders are overlooked and items paid for in to-go orders end up missing or inedible. When they aren't even busy (literally two tables with anyone seated inside) they still can't manage to provide proper service or make food right! I'm completely done with this location. Not to mention the mouth on the people in the kitchen that you can hear cussing all the way out in the dining room! Never again! Would rather drive 40 minutes to a different location than to visit this DEI dump again! Hope it goes out of business! Replace it with a place that hires people with any shred of integrity. So, i ordered Dockside Charlies from door dash while traveling. I didn't realize that this is the same as O'Charleys. I had the fish and shrimp with fries and slaw. It arrived hot and delicious. My only issue is with the Key Lime pie which did not arrive. The bag was sealed so it was not my dasher's fault. I was credited on my door dash account was I use so very rarely. I brought my mother here after a long day at the doctor's. We were hungry and this was close by so we stopped here for lunch. It did take awhile for the hostess to come greet us, although it was not that busy. We finally were seated after about 5 minutes Our waitress was super sweet and checked on us quite frequently. O'Charley's is known for their complimentary rolls. I unfortunately couldn't indulge in them but my mom enjoyed them and stated how delicious the bread was. For lunch I had the Grilled Atlantic Salmon with broccoli and asparagus. My mom had the Honey Glazed Southern Fried Chicken with mashed sweet potatoes and broccoli. My salmon and asparagus was cooked perfectly and was seasoned just right. They were both really good. My broccoli was severely overcooked, but I ate it. My mom enjoyed her chicken and sweet potatoes but her broccoli was barely cooked and cold. Our waitress kindly swapped out the broccoli for a side salad for my mom. All in all the meal was good. O'Charley's isn't a Michelin star restaurant but it's not horrible either. I would eat here again, I would just avoid ordering the broccoli. read more

Every time I go there, the food is delicious; and the service is wonderful. Plus, they're very reasonably priced. So it confuses me to see all these lowball ratings. Only once have I really noticed anything wrong -- when my brother ordered a medium rare steak and got it medium well. He brought it to the waitress's attention, and it was promptly corrected. I suspect the waitress misheard him, or the cook wasn't paying attention. But, really, those things happen. And I've probably been to O Charley's at least a several dozen times over the years. It's my father daughter's favorite restaurant too. I know people are more apt to complain than praise, and don't mean to diminish anyone's opinions. And perhaps I've just been "lucky." I came in this evening at 5pm and placed an order to go. I ordered a shrimp meal with mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese and also a steak & chicken tenders with Mac and cheese with a salad, also a tea. An order to take home with me. I tipped 11.00. The young lady told me 15 to 20 min for my order. They did have other customers coming in to pick up orders during this time. I see orders both on their bookcase and also behind their counter. It has been enough time to where I don't understand what is taking so long. I go up to the counter and ask if they are finished with my order it is now 5:40pm. My order was not only ready but has been sitting up there for 20+ minutes. I'm obviously upset that nobody has bothered saying my name, nothing. I get my food and speak to the manager. I'm tell him the situation he says "well what do you want me to do about it?'" I said well idk maybe run the restaurant better, he then told ME that I was insulting for saying that. I told him that it was insulting for me to spent 50.00 on food to have it just sit on metal racks. He literally did not care. So I ended up with food that was not fresh a salad that was below all the other food so it also was hot and wilted, and a steak that was well done not med well. No I don't recommend this place. The manager there has to be the most non-caring person I have ever met in food or retail. Just in case you are wondering they only had a couple customers in the place and people in and out for pick up. Dined here last night on a whim since my husband & I couldn't stand to eat one more Thanksgiving leftover meal. There was a wait but we were seated in the bar in about 8 minutes. Our server didn't notice us for about 10 minutes after we were seated but we spent that time perusing the menu so it was all good. After taking our orders, the server brought out hot bread with whipped butter and it was wonderful. I ordered the bone-in pork chop served over collard greens with a spicy sweet bourbon sauce. My sides were a garden salad(average) & bacon mashed potatoes(very good). The pork chop was thick but had more fat on it than I would like. My husband ordered salmon with fries(average) & coleslaw(delicious). I stole several bites of his salmon and it was very good. We wanted a Sunday brunch that wasn't too far from home and not too expensive, so we decided to try O'Charley's. Apparently, we beat the After-Church rush by arriving at 11, as the restaurant only had about 4 filled tables. Our server was perky and helpful. When I ordered the Bacon Bloody Mary, she got all excited about how good it is. (It wasn't bad, and my husband's Bloody Mary made with whiskey was decent.) We ordered very brunchy items: Classic Eggs Benedict and Chicken and Waffles. My poached eggs were a little underdone, but the hollandaise sauce was great. The chicken was overdone and a bit burned tasting, but nothing a little syrup couldn't improve. Our bill, post-tip came to $44.00, which was more than I would have paid for food of the quality we got. Service was very good though, with a sweet and attentive server and two managers asking us how everything was. And of course...the rolls were piping hot and delicious! But the hunt for an awesome brunch close to home still continues for us. read more

They have literally never gotten our takeout order correct. Always forget at least something small. Sometimes forget whole meals. They are also very rude when we ask for our missing items as though we are bothered by us. I have also seen the give one customer the wrong order, have them bring it back to the restaurant and then give that order to the proper customer without even checking it first. read more

Definitely has gone down hill since 2022. Got the Bartender bartending and waiting tables. She tried her best, not her fault. Because of this, service very slow. Another employee was training a young girl. This girl brought our food over under guidance of the trainer. As the new girl walked away, she stated to the trainer, "His glass was empty, should I fill it?". The trainer said "No!". They then walked away. The bartender/waitress was so busy, waiting tables, filling drink orders, etc. As we ended our meal, I saw the manager, asked him to come to our table. He said he had just came on duty minutes ago. We expressed our concern about the double duties placed on our waitress. he smuggly replied, "That's what she wanted." Yeah right. When we questioned her about this issue, she stated that this was her assignment. "I'm the Jack of all Trades, Master of none. Lol. " and of course free pie Wednesday, and only pies available were caramel and key lime, due to Covid causing their bakery to shut down. Not going back, manager seemed to care less. Food was average, loaded baked potato had sprinkles of bacon, and I mean sprinkles. and was small. Husband got loaded potato soup, very watered down. Key Lime pie was frozen when given to us. However, today was an exception our waitress took over 15 minutes to get our waters I would understand the long wait time if it meant the restaurant was packed but there was multiple tables that surrounded us that was vacant. Once we finally placed our order we waited and waited for the food to arrive and once it did our steaks was completely cold we ordered them to be medium which they were but being so cold from waiting for our waitress to get them is the reason I'm assuming that it was as cold as it were. Once the entrees came out we asked multiple times for the rolls that we are suppose to receive when you get seated. We didn't get any rolls nor was offered any, once we were seated. By the time we were finished we waited for our check it took over 15 minutes to stop by and grab our card to pay for the meal. The quickest part was us getting the card back from the waitress and getting told have a wonderful night We've been to multiple o charleys and it's been wonderful every time but this one time was absolutely horrible. I ordered delivery through doordash. One salmon meal with asparagus and broccoli, one spaghetti and meatballs, one chicken tender kids meal, and one pasta and marinara kids meal. No ketchup. No dipping sauce. No utensils. No napkins. I was not at home and we all had a great time eating with our hands. They did include butter with the rolls, which was nice. The doordash driver was friendly and expedient. When I called the store to complain about no sauces, utensils, or napkins, I was on hold for 10 minutes before I hung up. I'm never ordering from there again. The food tasted good, but it was very bad service. I pay an upcharge for using doordash, they really should anticipate every customer need. Like TGI Friday's at it's worst. -$3 weak margaritas -you get never ending buttery bread -I ordered a chicken salad. Thank goodness I asked for dressing on the side. Oh, and it was more fried chicken that salad. -Wife order chicken tenders. She got 6 HUGE tenders, a salad, and 2 huge scoops of mashed potatoes made with buttermilk. It's any wonder why everyone in Cinncy was on the larger side...if they all eat like this. Really really disgusting. My husband and I ordered 2 Appetizer Combs as our meals. We were ready when our waitress came and ordered our food when we ordered our drinks. We waited well over 30 minutes for our food. People around us who were seated AFTER us began getting their meals before us ... (one patron had ordered a steak meal and still had his dinner before we got our appetizers). Come on now... Interior The locals recommended this restaurant to me, and I am glad I went. The decor of this restaurant is modern and clean with dimmed lights. The restaurant is spacious with decent room in the bar area. The bar has several bigscreen TVs showing sports. Most of the seats in the restaurant are booths. The atmosphere of restaurant is energetic and inviting. Menu Expect items that you can get from Outback or Applebees. You have your appetizers, soup, salad, and entrees emphasized on American favorites such as steak, burgers, and etc. One thing that stands out this most in the menu is the PRICE. Almost every item is cheaper than the same thing you get in other restaurant chains. Food (I will only review on the items I had) I ordered a ribeye steak, medium rare, with creamy chicken noodle soup and fries. The steak was delicious, juicy, perfectly done, and well-seasoned. What is even better is the large portion of the steak. It's the best $15 ribeye steak I had anywhere outside of Texas in terms of size and flavors. About the chicken soup, there was definitely more chicken than soup, which was satisfying to me. The fries.. they are just fries. Beverages They do have a drink menu that much resembles that of Chili's. You have some mix drinks and margaritas. I didn't care for any at the time, so I will not judge on the drinks. However, their draft selection was pretty limited. The best beer was Amber Bock. But if you are a bud lite fan, you can get a pint for real cheap. Service The bar waiter I had was friendly and attentive. I got refills on beverages frequently. The food was brought out very quickly, which is awesome for impatient or hungry customers like me. The bartender was nice and seemed like he knew the drinks fairly well. Overall This is a great neighborhood joint in Middletown OH where nothing is really happening. She took our orders and shared a humorous story after we had a few drinks. Ask her about her experience with Jameson Whiskey; you wont be disappointed. What came out was about 3 leafs of "spring mix" and a bowl full of wilted iceberg lettuce. And most of it was the white stuff not even the green! The oil was more like vegetable oil than olive oil. The bartender server looked at the bowl while I was eating and said "that's not spring mix, I looked when I brought it out and thought there was spring mix. I promise I put it in the computer for spring mix only."
