Love going here, one of our favorite Japanese restaurants. Always good service, good portions, and tasty food. Always willing to customize for dietary restrictions. Their udon is my go to!

I don't think I have ever eaten at an establishment where the meat was bad! The first bite was very small so I kinda wasn't sure, so I took a second bite and after two chews I immediately spit out the meat. I then smelled it and it smelled bad. The spicy tuna was so red, we didn't even bother trying it. The tempura was good as was the miso soup. Service wasn't good. I did mention the rotten meat at check out, but they just smiled and said sorry. As I type this my stomach is protesting my decision to eat there. I will definitely not go back.

It's been awhile since I ate here but decided to have lunch here. Service was ok . The server was very polite but got my order wrong . We ordered Minasa special with 3 kinds of sushi and a spicy tuna roll. The sushi wasn't that fresh. The spicy tuna meat was so red so I don't know if it was colored. The rice dismantled when you picked up chopstick. I got their 1 item special- yakisoba noodle- very salty , with rice , miso soup and cucumber salad. . I ordered cabbage salad at first but. Got the cucumber instead. They sent me the cabbage though. Both cucumber and cabbage salads were very bland. Needed spices and salt. We ordered salmon collar also very dry. The quality of dishes they prepared were not the same when they started. Ambiance average . This is based on my experience.

Not an AYCE sushi spot. Just had to start off with that comment. We ordered 4 rolls and 4 nigiri amongst the 3 of us and for about 20 more dollars could've had AYCE at another sushi place. It's a pretty small establishment right next to Juice it Up and Nothing Bundt Cakes. Inside is cozy. They got music playing in the overhead speakers with a lot of profanity and F words which I would say would be inappropriate for children here. We ordered their fatty yellow fin tuna nigiri as well as several of their sushi rolls including Vegas, Tiger, Spider and another one. Flavors were ok. Fish was ok. I think the quality at One Spot is much better than here (and its AYCE). I did like their fatty yellow fin tuna nigiri. As it was a large peice. Definitely you can taste and feel the quality. If all their fish was like this then it would definitely have been worth it. The plates were pretty. But dunking the sushi into the small soy sauce holder was difficult. Some of the peices of sushi were extremely hard to grab and would just fall apart. You couldn't grab it from the middle or else it would just tear right thru. Service is ok. They had 2 people working the lunch rush. One was really good. The older one was kinda short and rough in her attitude. Bathroom was disgustingly dirty, which always makes me wonder what the kitchen is like. Overall it was ok. But I dont think Ill be coming back.

This is my third visit to this location. They offer a wide variety of delicious rolls. Today, I tried the cucumber roll, rainbow roll, and baked scallop roll. All of them were really tasty. The cucumber roll was a bit large and messy, but it was very fresh. The scallops were quite tasty as well. They were easy to eat and had a slightly sweet flavor. My favorite was the rainbow roll. The rolls feature different flavors and are very refreshing! The service was ok. I've experienced better, but it seemed like they were short-staffed. It took a little over forty five minutes for our food to arrive on a slow day. There were probably only 10 people in the restaurant.

Love this sushi place. The rolls are huge with good tastes. The inside is a good size. Make sure you come between tush times because a lot of people comes to this place. Thats s good thing. They have so many choices on the menu. I suggest the rainbow roll, tiger roll and the volcano roll. Super good. I highly recommend this place. The food was fire. You will get full off a couple plates for sure. This also great for a date.

Our son goes to Taekwondo next door so we came here to try on a Friday night. The waitress is super friendly and attentive. There's a big selection of food. We chose the simple one with chicken and pork for the first time being here. The food quality is good and seasoning and sauce are yummy Both cabbage Salad and cucumber salad are a delicious. Definitely will come back again!

Criminally underrated sushi spot in Rancho Cucamonga!…read more Girlfriend was craving sushi, and we decided to give KUWADA a shot on a whim... May have just found our new favorite sushi restaurant! The atmosphere and decor were modern and classy, and whoever was in charge of the music had phenomenal taste! The sushi itself was amazing, fresh and flavorful with so many different options to choose from. Same goes for the cocktails, I love a mojito and the Sakura Mojito may have been the best mojito I've ever had. Our server was lovely and fun to talk with, attended to our every need and allowed for a great dining experience. 10/10 will be revisiting!

The rolls came very saucy, and most plates had an aesthetic appearance. Personally, if I were to ever revisit this location, I'd only order the garlic noodles w/ shrimp & the nigiri. For this review, I will focus on the Lobster Tail Roll ($36), Gyoza ($14), and Monaka Ice Cream ($7). I arrived at Kuwada (Rancho Cucamonga) on Sunday (around 12:50PM). Parking is very easy. The lot is HUGE. I had a reservation for 1PM, but a reservation felt superfluous since the restaurant was VERY empty. Throughout the entire dining experience, I only noticed one other group arrive. Staff is the HIGHLIGHT! Staff (receipt says JoJo) was the MAIN superstar. JoJo charmed the table; JoJo maintained a professional, kind demeanor; and JoJo worked very hard. JoJo gave excellent recommendations, and JoJo maintained a friendly, bright smile throughout our visit. Regarding food, it felt inconsistent. The food in the beginning was plated elegantly and carefully. However, as time progressed, it felt like the kitchen was beginning to rush despite the lack of customers. Food arrived very slowly, and later plates looked a little splattered and untidy. Thankfully, most of the food was very good. It's a journey of texture, fresh ingredients, and light & bright flavors. The Lobster Tail Roll ($36) had fried lobster bits, asparagus, avocado, masago, eel sauce, and mayo. It tasted like a vegetable roll at times. The Gyoza ($14 - 6 Piece) was panfried with seasoned pork and vegetables. Tasty!! And the Monaka Ice Cream ($7) is tiny with Macaroon Shell and a small scoop of Green Tea Ice Cream. All in all, these dishes didn't feel special, but they were prepared well enough. On ambiance, Kuwada (Rancho Cucamonga) is very attractive. The location is dimly lit, very clean, and spacious. However, the music is awkward at times. There were moments where light, lovely music was playing... only for random yelling music to briefly appear... to then suddenly be replaced with a country-style song. It all felt surreal. I don't think it was intended, but I think their music playlist was accidentally switched to the wrong track. Overall, Kuwada (Rancho Cucamonga) is an interesting experience. Honestly, the only reason this review is "5 Stars" is because our waitress was EXEMPLARY. Although the ambiance and cooking staff was lackluster, the front of house is MAGIC. This is a not bad, pricey place. 4.5 out of 5

Everything tasted fresh, and I liked that I could try a good variety without having to commit to just one or two rolls. The space doesn't remind me of a sushi restaurant and more of a sports bar, but the space was playing the World Cup and was fit for the occasion. Their AYCE is a great price ($39.99), excluding their premium sushi rolls. Since I refrain from ordering rolls at an AYCE, this part didn't bother me much. We maxed out all the limited items, which was very generous, however, I wasn't sure of how many rounds were available, or how many pieces total were going to be included in the limited items, so we ended up with a LOT of nigiri. Our service was great, but spotty at several times. I loved all the nigiri items, especially the peppered salmon, ikura, and halibut. I'd pass on the red clam nigiri, and the fried appetizers as they were big portions but very filling! Delicious melt in your mouth pieces of yellowtail and salmon were the highlights for me. My friends enjoyed their unagi, and our friend's daughter enjoyed all the cooked items. Overall, I could say I understand the appeal of the restaurant!

I find that sometimes places will overcompensate with adding different touches when it's not necessary. If you had to pick, I would definitely opt for the Matcha! - Ambiance: The vibe was casual, I felt like they welcomed you as you are. No need to dress up, the focus is on the food.
