This was our first time here it was recommended to us to give it a try when we said we were craving Ramen. I'm glad that we went. The restaurant is not too big but it's very nice. Has a good vibe. We were sat quickly. there were six of us. The lady taking our order was very friendly. We went ahead and placed our orders. My family is lucky to have Wazakuraken be our local ramen place. Normally we order for pick up, with our son making the run. This time, it was me, and I realized I'd not written a review before, even though I've enjoyed their ramen many times. Today it was #1Tonkutsu for us, a fam fave. The pork is so tender and satisfyingly unctuous. It definitely has the MmMmmMmm factor! The bamboo shoots, perfectly cooked for richness egg, the pickled ginger, and other toppings offer the fresh variety of flavors and textures that add to the whole delectable ramen experience. The noodles are perfectly cooked for ultimate slurpiness. They have the Goldilocks effect: never mushy, never underdone - they're just right. Now the broth. It's a make or break for a ramen shop. Their ramen is rich, depthy, umami loving goodness. I can - and have - drink it from the container all by itself, where each mouthful is worth savoring, allowing it to take center stage. This place is delicious!! Took me right back to Japan. Our waitress was so sweet and attentive. The food was amazing and broth flavor is on point!! Super cute decor as well!! Our portions were filling. My one friend got sweet potato fries cuz she wasn't super hungry and my other friend and I ordered Ramen. Neither of us could finish our bowls of ramen. Haven't been here since Covid, what a horrible experience and memory that was. Times have changed. Very much for the better. It was cloudy today, a little bit of drizzle, and the ambiance in the restaurant was perfect. I love it when the music is played at an appropriate volume, and halfway through our meal it was just turned off. We were the only party inside. I think they must mainly do takeout now since someone was in and out the door every 15-20 minutes to pick up food. The server was incredibly attentive and friendly. The food was incredible. It was the perfect place to wind down after a crazy busy Sunday morning. The two ramen meal set was perfect for us, $38 for two people to eat? With not one but TWO appetizers, and TWO DRINKS?! My youngest daughter loves ramen. After her first driving lesson, we came here to Wazakuraken Ramen for lunch. It is located on Archibald Ave and Baseline Rd in the City of Rancho Cucamonga. Funny, I drive by this place all the time when I shop at 99 Ranch Supermarket that happens to be across the street on the Baseline Rd side. Now I know they are here, I will be visiting them more often. Upon arrival, there were a couple tables occupied. We knew we were going to order more than just 2 ramen bowls so we asked for a bigger table. Since they weren't too busy, we got our bigger table. Yay! Ambiance was cozy and comfortable. Good amount of inside seating. The lady who took our order was super friendly and helpful. She didn't bombard us during our dining, but was very attentive whenever we needed something. She gave us complimentary iced sweetened green tea with our order since we got two full size sides along with two ramen bowls. Otherwise, it would have cost us $1.50 for each drink. She moved some tables around and we were able to all sit together. We did have to wait sometime for service, it looks like 1 waitress was running the whole restaurant. The broth is rich with just the right amount of spice, and noodle is at a good consistency. I do have to mention the egg is not quite at a soft-boiled level, it was almost fully cooked. I've been wanting to try this place for a while and I am still glad I did. They packed up my food to-go very nicely. The noodles and the fixing's in the bowl were separate from the broth which I appreciated bc the noodles were obviously not swollen. I only used half the broth and saved the rest for the next night.
