UPDATE #1 Stephan, The manager of O'Hagan Electric called me on Monday morning after seeing my review. He sincerely apologized to me and said he was so very sorry his technician did not perform his job on Friday. He stated Our appointment did include installing the new ceiling fan and the installer is fairly new with the company and he should have installed it that day. So after Stephan explained the situation I now know it was not the fault of the company. Sadly this new installer decided to make his own decision that hurt the company's reputation. I am willing to give O'Hagan Electric another chance. O'Hagan Electric wants to make up for what happened and gain my trust as a customer. Stephan immediately scheduled an appointment for Tuesday morning and also took $150 off my bill. I will update again after the work is complete. UPDATE#2 Tristynn arrived within 10 minutes of my 2 hour window for my appointment. He text me to say he was on his way. Tristynn explained the whole process of adding a ceiling fan in my family room. Him and his co-worker did a fantastic job!!! Super clean job and very thorough. It looks fantastic !! It has been a while since I have initially requested O'Hagan come out to fix an outlet. Not only did they fix the outlet that was having issues, Mike gave me a quote to update all of the outlets and switches in my house to have copper pigtails from the aluminum wiring (provided a peace of mind that I didn't have prior since I knew the outlets were old and aluminum). They did such a great job I have since had them out to add some outlets to my garage and install two ceiling fans in a couple of rooms. Highly recommend them as they do excellent work for the cost. We had O'Hagan Electric install a new circuit from our electrical panel on the side of the house to the garage to connect an EV Charger. They were able to do the work while we were away so there was no disruption to us. They rearranged the electrical panel to make space for the new circuit, ran the line to the garage, and installed the EV charger all in one day. The work was high quality and they accommodated our request to make some adjustments for future sub-panel expansion. There were a few minor issues during the process. There was miscommunication on the initial appointment. The date didn't change, but I was asked when to schedule an appointment when we already decided on a date over text and email. When we were back at the house I checked out the work and noticed the wrong amperage breaker was installed (50A instead of 60A). Mike D admitted the mistake right away and came out the next business day morning and swapped it out for the right breaker without interrupting us. I would have given a 4-star rating, but due to the quick response to the breaker issue I'm comfortable giving a 5-star rating. I would consider using their services again. read more

Work Date: July 27, 2025 Lake Forest, CA Mike & Tristynn at O'Hagen Electric are part of the BEST TEAM of electricians I have ever encountered, and I highly recommend them for any electrical work that you may require! I called Mike to have three (3) ceiling fan insulations for my home, but it addition, Tristynn was able to fix an electrical problem with my air conditioner, find and correct improper wiring issues with my fuse box which the house construction electricians had sloppily overlooked, and explain the background of each issue in a manner which was clear and easy to understand. Since Tristynn was doing such a great job, I got him to install a wall charger for my EV, on the same day, at a competitive price. Furthermore, Tristynn took extra time from his busy schedule to run to The Home Depot to obtain some electrical parts that he needed to execute a proper finish to the job. Listen folks, I'm originally from the East Coast, where many electricians arrive late, overcharge for simple work, and do a rushed and messy job so they can quickly move to another customer. Truly can't say enough good things about O'Hagan Electric. We had an electrical fire in our garage last year and they came to the rescue within an hour knowing the urgency of our situation. The fire department advised us to wait until an electrician came to check the outlets before turning the electricity back on. Not only was our house going to be out of electricity until someone could come, but I was really scared about another potential electric fire if we turned the electricity back on without a proper inspection from a licensed electrician. I contacted a couple of other places and none of them cared about the urgency nor were they willing to accommodate the urgency except for O'Hagan Electric. They sent out a seasoned electrician who not only did a very thorough inspection but gave me a lot of reassurance by explaining his thought process in making the recommendations that he did. He removed the bad outlet completely and put in a new one on the side of the garage where it would be closer to our EV. The entire experience was professional and they were reasonably priced as well. It is so rare, but I appreciated the whole process: from asking for an estimate, booking a time for the job, the texts to let you know they are on their way, and the job done. I am truly impressed with their professionalism throughout! Mike was the one to help us on several projects, which took multiple trips. We really appreciated his insight, expertise, and professionalism. He gave us accurate quotes (not just in cost, but in time and amount of holes in the drywall). From the time he provided the quote, he could answer any questions. He gave us a few options for the jobs stating any concerns he might have about any of the options. I like that there is some standard pricing on the website for some of the common jobs, but Mike was able to tell us if something would cost more (and explain to us why it would cost more). This company did everything as promised. I'm always a little skeptical when I see a solid 5 star Yelp rating. But from messaging the business to completion of my project, you couldn't ask for a better experience. This company is big on communication. I received SMS and email appointment confirmations. There was a double booking issue and was contacted days in advance prior to discuss appointment options. I was also kept in the loop the day before, and the day of by the driver assigned to my project. If that wasn't enough, I was informed when the driver was on his way AND received a real time GPS map tracker to inform me he was in fact on his way. Tristynn was my assigned electrician. We discussed a few options since I had some rusting BX cable and the 20 year metal boxes were showing early signs of corrosion. They weren't in horrible shape, but would most likely need to be addressed 5 years from now. All I needed was a GFI outlet in place of an old unused power switch for a stair lift. Rather than just swap out the switch, Tristynn also replaced the old Romex with what looked like 12 gauge conductor NM cable for the GFI box. All the old switch and main box covers were swapped out for outdoor rated foam insulated covers. If that weren't enough, he also installed an expandable TayMac outlet cover! Tristynn was very professional and pleasant to work with. I felt the price of the project was reasonable and done within a timely manner. This company will definitely be my new go to for all electrical needs. read more
