We finally went to the wall mount for our old Tesla S that was charging with the wall plug. We already have 240 Volt outlet there. Hi Power Electric was the original contract electrical worker who worked on placing the plug in our driveway and it served us well for the past ten years. But Tesla Wall Mounted Charger is so convenient and we bought the $550 Universal Fast Charger with 40 Amp charger that can charge Hyundai Electric Vehicle if we do decide to upgrade in the future. I doubt that we will replace our beloved Tesla S from the best years of their initial production years from 2015! These two gentlemen are father and the son team and really do the best job. They are certified Tesla technicians and also know their craft very well. The labor charges are very reasonable and the son knows all about the newest Tesla technologies. How did I get so lucky? When researching electricians, I used Yelp to find a company who could help me with a repair on an outdoor outlet not covered by my home warranty company. I saw Hi Power's five star ratings and over 200 reviews, so that already made me pay attention. Even better, when I called them for an estimate, they were upfront and honest about the pricing. After a couple calls to other service providers, their pricing was either better or equal. What sold me was the friendliness and upfront communication. I know, friendliness is not always important if you've got a budget in mind, but if you can get both why would you go anywhere else? 5 stars - Fair pricing. I'm not super handy, but I did do some research before calling them, so I already knew what to expect. When their assessment lined up with my research, I knew they weren't trying to nickel and dime me. 5 stars - I have to give five bonus stars to Sheen. He promptly called me back if I left a message and made me feel like I was a priority. He had no issue with setting up an appointment with my tenant and even provided me the documentation I needed as receipt of the work, which is important for landlords who need to keep a detailed log of repairs. I originally had given Hi Power a great review however, in light of a few things I absolutely need to revise it. Initially, They had come out to our house for quite a few electrical issues as the old owners of our home had many suspect jobs around the house. The young guys (one was the son of the owner) seemed very nice but, in retrospect, definitely not as seasoned as electricians who have been in the field and working longer. This became apparent to me when we had another company come out very recently. After quite a few inexpensive electrical jobs I asked the guys at Hi Power to hang a pendant lighting. After hanging it it had began to slide, exposing a rather large hole in the ceiling. When I called the guys to come back to rehang it, I was told that was just the way it was due to the style of lighting and the ceiling and there wasn't anything to do to prevent sliding. That wasn't good enough for me and I insisted that they come back. How funny that they were actually able to get it the right way with no ceiling exposure and it is still correct to this day. I absolutely did not like that they wanted me to settle with it done the wrong way! Fast forward a year later (10/19)and we are having electrical problems with the same outlets that they have repaired. My husband was not impressed, overall with the company, insisted that we have someone else come out this time. The company that came out was awesome and the tech knew exactly what he was doing. The Hi Power Electric guys had back wired one of the outlets which was an issue and was even noted on our invoice. See pics. Basically, we paid $500 for a faulty repair. I would not recommend to friends and neighbors. Update -- I wanted to adjust the stars a bit and acknowledge that high-power did reach out to us to talk about the issues. It didn't quite change my opinion/experience but it was decent of them to do that. I perhaps should have called them first to look at the issue before calling another electrician. read more

I cannot not express how happy I am to review this business. I found them on Yelp right here after seeing numerous 5-star reviews and they are all accurate based on my personal experience. I received prompt responses each and every time I inquired about something. I initially requested for the addition of an outlet and while George was out, my husband asked to add another outlet in one of our closets, as well as a dimmer to our existing kitchen switch. They were able accommodate right there on the spot and we were really happy with the work. After a few days I realized there was a mistake with where the initial outlet was placed and called George again, he came out the same day and took care of it immediately. Had Hi Power install my EV charging unit which looked good. They were courteous and reasonably priced. The unit looked ok, but I started having issues with the charging unit which showed it was 'on' but the vehicle was not receiving adequate power and not charging. I tried to contact Hi Power to come back out to look at the installation, but I received no response. I found another electrician who came out and fixed the problem, so I have to change my rating to only 3 stars. read more

They were able to add it to my existing panel that was essentially "full" by replacing an existing breaker with a thinner one. Clean install. No mess left behind. Quote was accurate.
