Found this happening little spot in Jersey City! They made some great cocktails (full bar) and sandwiches. We went with burgers and steak sandwich great fries both wedges and sweet potato. Also tried a couple draft brews and a cocktail. Great selection and cozy dark sporty vibe. Service was excellent considering how busy it got. The burgers were cooked just as asked. Will definitely be back.

I decided to give Jersey city a visit and I love it here. O'Hara's reminded me of an episode of cheers. Friendly staff, casual bar ambiance. The appetizers I tried was really good. The Philly eggrolls stole my heart. Very delicious fresh and flavorful. The honey bbq wings were falling off the bone very good wings. They have a full bar. I had Stella and a shot... so smooth. I highly recommend. I can't wait to try the rest of the menu.

Came here for a quick bite, place was empty and about 6 people at the bar. However the service was a little slow. Food however came out quick but the drinks were we were waiting for. They should come out before the food but they didn't to the point I saw them just sitting at the bar waiting to be picked up. The Philly cheesesteak egg rolls were filled with so much meet and cheese and paired well with the chipotle mayo. The fried pickles were great as well. Typical sports bar vibes with creative cocktails.

I took my good friend Arian to lunch today at O'Hara's Downtown on 1st Street, Jersey City, NJ. We had a real good time. We ordered their chicken wings, spicy chicken sandwich, a nice salad and a couple of drinks. The eatery is clean and inviting. Special thanks to personable and efficient server Jeison and Kenny. They added to the great experience we had there today.

One of our favorite spots in Jersey city. I love the veggie burger and the cauliflower wings. Bartenders are friendly. Sports are always on. Bathrooms are clean.

I've always heard of this place and when I finally got to trying it I was not disappointed! Everyone always talks about the wings here and sheeeeesh probably some of the best I've had in a while. I happen to stumble in during trivia night and I was just taken away with how smoothly they ran it. The staff was great and the spot wasn't too overcrowded but definitely business was booming. I can't wait to came back with friends !

Literally the best bar food in Jersey City Hands Down. They don't miss everything I had (nachos, Philly cheese steak/fries, mac and cheese, lava cake and their drinks) were 15/10!!!! MUST TRY!!! Definitely will be back.

On Saturday March 19th, we came to O'Hara's. Of course, we came to watch and cheer on the PEACOCKS! Since we came early, we were able to get seats. Others had to stand to watch the game. O'Hara's isn't fancy. However, it has a lot of "Old Charm! Customer service was good and friendly! O'Hara's has two levels. We sat on the second level. The first round of drinks we're on the house. I ordered a Cabernet Sauvignon and a Guava and Lychee Martini. Surprisingly, the Cab.came from a twist off bottle. It actually was pretty decent. The Martini was definitely Fabulicious!!!! During the evening, two rounds of buffet munchies came out. The food was fair and went very quickly. The buffet consisted of meat sliders, quesadillas and buffalo chicken. The buffalo chicken was very good!!! In general, the food could've been a little warmer. At an additional price, you could order additional food from the menu. we ordered prime rib sliders. Sliders were decent but a little dry. Fries came with the order. However, the fries were way too greasy. All of Saturday evening's patrons were so pumped up watching the Peacocks play and of course win! Parking is a BIG PROBLEM in this general area. Don't even think of parking in ShopRite because I know someone who had their car towed. We used a parking app SpotHero to reserve a parking garage spot at 160 Morton Street Garage. We did get a spot, but another problem occurred. Anyway, O'Hara's is a happening place to watch sports and the St. Peter's PEACOCKS!!!

Food was good, service was kind and loved the atmosphere! We enjoyed our meal, grabbed the hubs a shirt and enjoyed ourselves.

Surrounding TVs keep every play, fight and miracle replayed in glorious surround-sass while wooden tables beg for pitchers, pretzels and conspiracy theories about the ref. Whether you're upstairs for the 3rd floor vibe, mid-level for the perfect sightline, or down in the cozy den with the best acoustics, this is New York sports bar energy: loud, a little brazen, impossibly welcoming. One particular bartender, Delaney not only brings an awesome level of energy to the bar, she saunters in like a halftime show -- a grin that's equal parts mischief and welcome. She's all quick elbows and quicker comebacks, the kind of bartender who remembers your name, your drink, and that one ridiculous story you told months ago. Her laugh is loud, her wink is devious, and she has a way of making first-timers feel like regulars by the second round. Behind the wooden bar she's choreography: expert pours, theatrical muddles, and a flourish that makes every order feel curated. Delaney's drinks are personality-packed, with her behind the bar, the place doesn't just serve drinks -- it gets its personality back. Taking off a star because I had a weird experience with the people at the front. I'm currently recovering from an injury and I'm in a pretty obvious neck brace. I was visiting with two people who were on their way and would be arriving in about 10-15 minutes and the people at the front told me I couldn't be seated until they arrived. I understand that this is normal protocol, but I pointed out my neck brace and asked if an exception could be made because it's significantly more comfortable for me to sit down (and there was no room at the bar). They said that their manager wouldn't let them do that, and that they couldn't seat me until the rest of my party was there. There were tons of table tables available the entire time and when my friend arrived about 12 minutes later, they seated us, I totally could've sat the whole time and it wouldn't have been a problem. Not the end of the world and I probably could've pushed it harder, but it definitely was a little awkward!

I ordered a turkey sandwich and a drink and settled in to watch the game. The first issue was that the sandwich took over 45 minutes to arrive, and nobody mentioned the delay or checked in about it. Annoying, but not the end of the world during a packed Finals game. What happened next was. After I finished my drink, one bartender - a larger guy with curly hair - picked up my empty can, banged it on the bar twice, and said, "Bro, do you want another one?" I replied, "I'm good for now, thanks." He then told me, "You need to keep ordering drinks if you want to keep your seat. There are lots of people behind you drinking who would take your seat." I honestly thought he was joking. I told him I had already ordered food and a drink, arrived early, and was there to watch the game. He basically repeated that if I wasn't continuing to order drinks, someone else would take my spot. I've been going to bars for over 20 years and have never had a bartender tell me I needed to keep buying alcohol in order to keep a seat after already ordering food and drinks. I've certainly never had one say it in such a rude and confrontational way. To be clear, my issue is not with the rest of the staff. Everyone else seemed to be working hard during an incredibly busy night, and I still left a 20% tip because I know tips are shared. My issue is with one bartender who apparently thinks pressuring customers into buying more drinks is acceptable customer service. There are plenty of great places in NYC to watch a game. This was my first visit to True North, and unfortunately it will be my last.
