    Hh benedict with bacon!! Delish!!

Very large restaurant that has indoor and outdoor seating. Food is like English pub food - I had beef stew with mashed potatoes and as a group we shared calamari. The food was very good and the portion sizes and prices were very reasonable. There was only one server that night, no host, and one bartender, so the service was a bit slower than what I would have liked, but that is not really a big deal, and maybe it was because it was a early weeknight and not a lot of people. The service that we did have though was very good! I also really liked their mocktails! As I said this space is huge, and every table is spaced out nicely, and I think it would be great for big groups and also to bring your kid along to eat with you!

We had a good meal overall! I was initially worried because nothing from the menu was catching my eye, and I didn't want to order something that I could make at home. I think they do their bread, fries, and dessert well in particular. The venue is huge so I don't think it'd be hard to get a table, but it can be noisy since it's more of a sports bar.

The restaurant space at end of Erie hasn't had a good track record, owing to sky high rents and an oversaturated restaurant scene. Hudson Hound is the latest to fill the gap. It's pricey and the vibe is much more gastropub than the menu's Irish pub would suggest but, it's a fine place to grab pub food and a pint. I sidled up to the sleek bar on a Thursday night with a craving for fish and chips. The dish (three generous slabs of beer battered cod on crisp fries) was exactly what I was looking for, though the accompanying tartar sauce could've used more zing.

Lunch weekend brunch options in Jersey City. Great service and the Irish breakfast offered a good variety of food. Irish pub and restaurant that offers brunch before 3pm (?) otherwise, bar food is available the whole day. The sourdough bread that came with the burrata was exceptionally good!

I really enjoyed all the drinks and cocktails at the Hudson Hound, but unfortunately not the food. The Lady Lavender, Aperol Spritz and Expresso Martini were all great. For brunch, I ordered the Fried Chicken Sandwich. The chicken was dry and flavorless. Even the pickle was bad... how!? I would come back for drinks, just skip on the food.

Food is flavorful. The burrata was amazing paired with the pickled onions. The chicken was also great. Portions are large. Bonus if you check it out during restaurant week. $39 for 3 courses. Service is really slow. Not sure why because the place wasn't too busy. Also pack your patience to find parking. It's really tight.

I must say I'm not disappointed. I've been wanting to try this restaurant and glad I did. I tried their cocktail called the JC Gem and it was delicious. I will say my party ordered the Burrata, which our waitress forgot , so we were disappointed. But then I'll just have to come back to taste is soon. We sat outside as a perfect night for but the inside is beautiful. My friends really liked their main courses. I ordered the vegetarian risotto which was extremely rich so I couldn't eat much of it. They should really serve a piece of bread with this main course would be my only complaint. So I ended up ordering a side of their homemade sour dough bread which is so good. I'll definitely be back to try their brunch!

vibes, we (party of 4) got there a bit before dinner time and there were no seats inside (bcos trivia night) but sitting outside was actually better. the fish was nicely cooked but i think it lacked a bit of seasoning so we had to ask for salt and pepper. the salad was good. the sliders were nothing special, tastes like nothing and really small. though we were able to order them from the bar menu even while seated outside which was nice

Had a good time here with friends. Only a few minutes walk from the PATH train Grove Street station. Nice little craft beer selection on tap, along with a proper pour of Guinness from what I observed. I enjoyed a Carton Brewing Pilsner which was a smooth Jersey based brew. Fish and chips were tasty, and not greasy. All priced accordingly. We sat at the bar and had terrific service. Staff here is friendly and the place itself evokes a cozy feel. Plenty of places to sit inside, with some sidewalk seating too. Oh, and clean bathrooms.

Just short of 5 stars due to a cranky bartender with short and rude comments and should not be in customer arrive job. Other than that particular bartender the food and ambiance was great for my friends reservation ed table for her birthday. The food was unexpectedly really good for bar food and nice cocktails. The best of All orders was the filet medallions were really tender and salad fresh. HH Java espresso martinis tasty and the pear vodka cocktail was my table go to for drinks.

Checked out this place for a relaxed outdoor diner. They also had a high chair and a kids menu so we were sold. Mostly bar food with a slight Irish theme. Tables were spread out inside and they had plenty of tables outside so a good start. We mostly ordered off the bar menu and split the cheese plate $16, chicken tenders $9, fish and chips $20, small order of wings $12, and an Irish soda bread $4. Standouts were the soda bread and tenders. The tenders had a great flavor and a kick with a chili dipping sauce. All were solid dishes thoughts. Huge drink menu and nice bar scene. Service was relaxed but attentive. All in all a great option when in the area!

Went here for Mother's Day. Had made a reservation on their website about a week before and had no problem for getting a table of 5. Once we got there the hostess was kind enough to offer inside and outside seating, and had reserved both so I could choose. Which was so nice and considerate! Getting into the food. We ordered a whole loaf of the Irish soda bread (worth it compared to the side of Irish soda bread it was $12 for the loaf of about 10 pieces versus $5 for 2 pieces!) quite a hack tbh. I ended up with the HH Benedict which was good you could either get it on a scone or their homemade potato pancake. I got it on the scone, it wasn't bad but would have liked their potato pancake. My benidict also had there home made smoked salmon and it was delish. My boyfriend got the full Irish which was standard and very good. My dad got the chicken and waffles which was ($18) but could've been a little bigger. The outdoor seating was amazing and really was so nice because of the umbrellas. The only thing was that my moms HH Benedict didn't come out with everything, and we weren't checked on by our waiter that much so we had to flag him down when we actually wanted to order. TLDR: Overall would go back but maybe just a clean up on the service. Food was tasty and reserving a table a head was the move.

Hudson Hound is a nice calm brunch spot. The food is pretty good. I ate a burger here and my friend had some Benedict.

Tucked into the Financial District, this spot blends old New York history with some of the best cocktails in the city--and it's easy to see why it's been named "World's Best Bar" more than once. The name itself has a wild backstory, inspired by a notorious 19th-century Irish-American gang from Five Points. It adds a layer of character to the place, but what really keeps people coming back is the atmosphere and the drinks. The space is split into two levels: a two lively, sawdust-floored Taprooms downstairs and a more refined Parlor upstairs if you're in the mood for a quieter, cocktail-focused experience. Drinks are the real highlight here. The Irish Coffee is widely considered one of the best in the world--rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced with whiskey, coffee, and fresh cream. They also get creative with variations like a frozen version and even an Irish Coffee martini. If you want something different, the "Act Naturally" is a standout, mixing Irish whiskey with Guinness and fig in a way that works. Food is just as impressive for a bar. The lobster deviled eggs (topped with caviar) are a must-try, and the menu leans into elevated comfort food. Overall, The Dead Rabbit nails the balance between historic charm and modern cocktail excellence. The D.R. is one of those places that is never boring and consistently delivers.

We had the honor of meeting Paul who shared with us some of the amazing stories that have taken place at O'Hara's and the book of memories is an absolute treasure. The people that have walked in and found refuge during the most difficult of times and then to come back and celebrate the wins of those heroes. Ugh. Speechless. This place embodies what I envisioned as the strength that we witnessed all those years ago. I could go on and on. There are a couple entrances. We didn't realize this until we left. We were at the bar at the upper level and it was a great environment for rooting on your football team. I got the Reuben and it's made with corned beef. Delicious! Before we left we purchased shirts to support the Tunnel to Towers foundation. We didn't know what to expect with all the crazy news about NYC but this bar was full of red blooded Americans. First responder badges cover the walls and you can just feel the spirit of downtown NY around you. On a recent visit, I learned the owner has a giant photo album of photos and news clippings from 9-11 recovery efforts and clean up. The people at the table next to me were from Toronto and asked to see it. I glanced over at their table, not realizing at first what it was, and emotions swept over me when I saw the photo of the towers. "Wow," I said softly and then apologized for intruding. They invited me to look on with them but I couldn't ... (I still haven't been to the museum yet, either.) O'Hara's is a must-visit for locals or tourists. It's also a super convenient meeting spot for a quick business lunch, affordable burgers and sandwiches or a happy hour beer after work. I know I'll be back many times.
