Went there with friends for drinks... At the beginning the bar tender was nice but after he wanted to leave his shift he went up to us and said " I know you guys are in college and what not there is no reason to leave a tip" I was shocked because we didn't even finish our drink or playing the pool game and it wasn't we were going to leave a tip we haven't even started drinking or anything... I felt that it was rude of his part to even act unprofessional! I'm never coming back worst experience of my life!!! FYI I tip after I finish drinking not in the beginning. If you want to go there make sure you tip them at the beginning before they offended and think your not going to tip them. read more

Love this Pub! They have two pool tables and a music box with great tunes. The crowd is a mix of young and old, all friendly people that make for good conversation and fun times! The bartenders are the coolest and most attentive you'll find at the Circle. Drinks are reasonably priced and they have an awesome Happy Hour menu. They don't serve food but allow outside food to be brought in. Go early to get a seat at the bar. If not, there are lots of booths next to the bar. Plenty of big screens scattered about so you'll always be able to view your team playing. Decorated like a traditional Pub. Always have a great time and feel safe at O's. I really like O'Hara's. I really like dive bars. I especially like not waking up to my wallet sobbing the morning after a night of drinking on the town. I think I go to these places to avoid people I find annoying, but it really works. My favorite thing about this place? One particular bartender. Can't remember his name now (it was M-something, not sure--evidence of a good time), but he always treats us great whenever my friends and I stumble in for a brew. Probably because one my last birthday we ordered a lot of drinks (like stop-lights) and tipped generously on an "off-night." I love the booth with the Reverend Horton Heat poster. Gets me every time. Favorite time of year to go? Fall. I dig the trashy orange lights, the fake spider-webs, the lack of people. Good place to go an chill with friends. Can get VERY packed and VERY douchey on busy nights. Be prepared. Otherwise, good for a slow night visit with comrades. Don't EVER come here during basketball finals if you hate the Lakers. Extremely rude employees! bad experience here, 2 different times!! The first, my friend and I bought drinks and the bartender decided to just keep her change. My friend asked the bartender for her change, he then gave her the change and took our drinks away(after we had paid for them) and told us not to order anything anymore. We eventually got kicked out. Second time, I went in with my boyfriend and I was upset with him and the security did not let me in because I was not smiling! LOL he said "get out of my bar" ! A nice friendly Irish dive bar. Pours a nice pint of Guinness and awesome Bloody Mary's that eat like a meal. Could use a larger beer selection on tap, not a bar for the craft beer nerd like myself. My biggest gripe is they don't have a license for kids, so no bringing your little ones to watch a game. They don't serve food, but you can order food through the bartender from a few local eateries; a nice accommodation for a pub with no attached kitchen. Overall, a nice experience. read more

We need dive bars more than we care to admit. O'hara's has become legendary in Orange, perhaps regrettably to its loyal local clientele. This place is about as straight-forward as dives get: a pool table, some well-worn stools, a cool juke box and cheap pitchers. Solid dive bar. Great happy hour price on the house pale ale and it tastes pretty darn good. Drawbacks are the jukebox doesn't play at all unless you pay so the silence can kill the mood which makes you feel forced to dump money into it. i really liked the pool tables here and the service. prices were okay.but one night on a slow night they accused mee of having a fake id and confiscated it. it was already enough trouble. but the bouncer said he was gonna call the cops. he didnt end up calling the cops so i had to find one on the street and flag him down so he could get my id back for me.i saw a good fight there once. I forgot to say that i didn't receive an apology and the bouncer was a dick the entire time. i also wasn't let in after the cop verified me and my id. read more
