Extremely disappointed with the lack of honesty and trust that has been broken by O'Meara VW Service. Dropped our car off for a wheel bearing issue, and told them we needed the car for the weekend (we had a trip to the mountains planned). We were specifically told the car would be back to me by 2pm Friday. We still had not heard back, so we called them only to be abruptly told by Adam that the technician was having a "hard time putting it back together" and it would not be ready until Monday. After cancelling our weekend plans and losing out on our Airbnb, we called back Monday to be told the parts wouldn't be in until Tuesday. When we finally got the car back, I brought up the significant timeline discrepancy and inconveniences caused by it to the manager Larry and asked if there would be any discount added to the service. He was cold and continued to insist that they did nothing wrong and that I was lying about being told the car would be ready on Friday. As a woman, this is not the first time I've been belittled and lied to by a auto repair business, nor will it be my last, but it will be my last interaction with O'Meara VW. For what it's worth, I called another shop over the weekend and told them exactly what was diagnosed to be fixed and was quoted $350 less, but unfortunately the car was already with O'Meara VW. I added an extra star to this would-be-one-star review because Katalina was the only polite and pleasant person we interacted with the entire time, and she was able to give me a small discount for my troubles. read more

After bringing my vehicle in for service, it was returned to me with an active oil leak that had not been disclosed, or addressed prior to release. After leaving the dealership, I discovered a video from the service tech saying that I have a pretty big oil leak--an issue that should have been caught and communicated while the vehicle was still in your possession, especially given that I was there specifically for an oil change. When I reached out regarding this, following the video I was sent, I received the following response from Service Advisor Issac explaining: "We use 2 systems here, 1 to check in cars and invoice repairs and the other to track cars throughout the shop and send recommendations for repairs. When the estimate came to me all it had was the pollen filter on it which I forwarded to you. Then Tim got involved and we closed out the repair, and you paid for the oil change and left. The tech forgot to send an additional recommendation for the oil leak diagnosis, and I didn't see it until you mentioned it and I reviewed the video." This clearly confirms that the oil leak was identified (or should have been identified) during service but was not properly communicated or acted on before the vehicle was returned to me. It is unacceptable that a vehicle would be released in this condition due to an internal process failure or oversight. Releasing a vehicle with an active oil leak raises serious safety and mechanical concerns. Oil leaks can lead to engine damage, reduced lubrication, and potential failure if not addressed. Had something occurred as a result of this negligence, I would like to understand who would have been held responsible. My vehicle was returned to me in a compromised condition without my knowledge, which is both unsafe and unacceptable. I also want to emphasize my long-standing relationship with O'Meara. I have personally purchased two vehicles from your dealership and have consistently chosen O'Meara for service because of the positive experiences I've had in the past. Additionally, I was a friend of Steve Stern (now at Emich), which further influenced my decision to continue doing business with your organization. Over the years, I have referred countless friends, family members, and colleagues to O'Meara with confidence. Because of this history, this situation is especially disappointing. The handling of my vehicle, combined with the lack of accountability, has completely eroded my trust. As it stands, I will no longer be purchasing future vehicles from O'Meara, nor will I be returning for any service. I will also no longer feel comfortable recommending your dealership to others. ON the same day, I placed two calls to obtain a status update on my vehicle, and on both occasions, I was placed on hold for over 15 minutes. Each time, I was assured a follow-up call would be made, yet none occurred. Beyond this communication lapse, additional problems have emerged. My wife noted after a recall service that the door handle of the ID4 remains inoperable, contrary to the dealership's assertion that the replacement had resolved the issue--a malfunction confirmed later. Furthermore, following the software update, the vehicle is no longer recognized by Electrify America charging stations, a functionality that was intact prior to service. I am providing this detailed account to clarify the basis of my dissatisfaction. I ask that you share this feedback with your leadership team, as my concerns stem not from your individual efforts, but from broader operational shortcomings at the dealership. I had to drop the car again and to my surprise, they could not fix the door handle because they didn't have the spare part. Bad, really bad, I don't think they know what they are doing. I recently brought my 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan to O'Meara Volkswagen of Thornton for diagnostic testing, and the entire experience was deeply disappointing. What began as a straightforward request to diagnose smoke on startup and an oil warning light turned into days of poor communication, questionable charges, and new safety issues that were not present before the vehicle was in their care. I dropped my vehicle off on October 27, 2025, and was told it would stay overnight for testing. Despite multiple calls and texts the next day, I received no updates until mid-afternoon--only to learn that no testing had been started. I was then advised to authorize additional testing costing about $450, which I approved. The following day, after more silence, I was finally told that the vehicle needed a cylinder head replacement estimated at over $5,400. Immediately after picking up my car, I noticed new brake noises--something that had not existed before. Within a day, the brakes were grinding loudly. When I took the car to Brakes Plus, I was told the rear brakes were metal-on-metal and unsafe to drive. Shockingly, the service manager at O'Meara later admitted that the multi-point inspection listed on my paperwork had never actually been performed, despite the vehicle being in their possession for over two days. When I questioned how a serious brake issue could arise while my vehicle was under their care, I was met with defensiveness instead of accountability. The matter was left unresolved. This entire experience reflects a troubling lack of transparency, professionalism, and basic communication. Critical inspections were skipped, and my vehicle was returned to me in worse--and unsafe--condition. This has been, by far, the worst vehicle purchase I have made in 20 years of buying vehicles. I will admit that I bought the truck without seeing it in person, and that was a mistake I will not make again. The entire process was frustrating, but I was in a difficult situation and felt I had no choice. If I had not already wired the money before seeing the truck, I would have backed out of the deal immediately. When I flew from Nevada to Denver on a Saturday to pick it up, the employee who was supposed to meet me at the airport was extremely rude and made the experience even worse. Once I arrived at the dealership, I was disappointed by the truck's condition. Although I understood it was used, I did not expect a 2024 Ram with only 45,000 miles to look so worn out. It had numerous scratches, dents in the tailgate, and the towing plug completely broke off the truck had also been heavily smoked in and signs of much heavier use than expected. The Carfax also listed a minor accident, but in reality, the entire passenger side had been replaced, which explained why that side looked brand new compared to the rest of the truck. About 30 minutes after leaving the dealership, I heard a loud noise coming from underneath the driver's side. It went away briefly, so I continued driving to Montana, but by the next day the noise had become much worse. After owning the truck for only two days, I took it to a local Dodge dealership. They told me the transfer case was completely empty and that the internal components had broken apart, meaning the entire transfer case needed to be replaced. I contacted the dealership manager, who claimed the truck had passed two inspections--one in their shop and another at a Dodge dealership in Denver. However, the local dealership in Montana told me that could not be true because the transfer case fluid leak had clearly been there for quite some time. In their opinion, the truck had not been properly inspected. I understand that I should have looked at the truck in person, as I normally do, but I trusted this dealership and expected it to be better. Instead, I received a truck that was far more damaged than a 45,000-mile vehicle should have been. Thankfully, the warranty covered the transfer case replacement, but the dealership offered little help beyond saying it should be covered. Overall, this was a terrible experience. Spending $45,000 on a truck and then being unable to drive it for over a month, especially when it was supposed to be a work truck--has been extremely frustrating. From the manager to the employee who was supposed to pick me up at the airport, the entire experience was a nightmare. I strongly encourage anyone considering buying from this dealership to inspect the vehicle in person before committing. read more

The only bright spot at this dealer is Cathy in Titles. 1. Miguel in finance is as friendly as a !%$#house rat. 2. They wrote down wrong address on the title so it never came in the mail, and we have to deal with the issue. We will take some blame on this one as we did not review the address they wrote down prior to signing. 3. Within 3 months manifold needed to be replaced - $2,500 cost, when I spoke with George the GM, he basically said there was no way they could have seen that in the inspections. Not sure if this is true, but he offered nothing other than "really not our issue" The GM's reaction coupled with the entire experience has been brutal, hence the 1 star rating. Upon entering on Saturday afternoon, we were in and out within two hours- and that includes our lengthy test drive. (And YES- we did not feel the pressure at any point) During test drive, it was laid back- my husband got to drive on I-25, test out the power, do his thing.... And I (surprisingly) even drove some myself. I stuck to the neighborhood streets but got to test out a lot of the smart technology- like automatic parallel parking! Soooo smart and snazzy! Admittedly- my husband is the car guru and did his research well before coming; he knew exactly which make and model he wanted to see, so that saved time and headaches when we got here. From my husband (again, the car guru)- even he was impressed with the car salesman's knowledge! An extra thanks to Scott- the manager who made the experience great as well. The dealer seems to struggle to overnight me paperwork so they can release the car and I can get it shipped to my home. I talked to management at Omeara, and they apologized, but that's basically it. Customer care at this point is 0. No one picks up the phone. My sales guy replies to texts sporadically but can't seem to get the paperwork mailed to me either. Terrible experience. The dealer took over a week to provide us with our purchase documents, refused to sell us an extended warranty and didn't transfer the title to our trade in which exposed us to a huge amount of risk and legal action. After 24 hours of having the new/used vehicle, we asked for an inspection report to which we were also denied. The vehicle has now been in a shop for almost two weeks. The warranty that we were able to get doesn't kick in for 90 days and yet the dealer is still making us pay the deductible amount. Mark Thomas is the manager and refuses to get on the phone or talk to anyone in person. I even have an email from the manager George Tisitsishville stating they would cover the repairs since they were discovered shortly after purchasing but Mark Thomas refused. Called O'Meara VW on 8/25/23 looking for service. The woman on the phone told me I would probably need to leave the car multiple days. I asked about a loaner car, but said all of their loaners were being used. She said she would put me down for an appointment on 9/6/23, as they would most likely have loaners available by then. She said they would call me a few days in advance if this wasn't going to be the case. I received no phone call from them, so I show up to my 9/6 appointment thinking all is good & that they would have a loaner car available for me to use. Nope. Guy tells me it would be another 1-2 weeks. I'm obviously frustrated at this point, so I ask him what I need to do to get myself a loaner car from them. He basically just tells me "Don't worry, we'll get you one ASAP." I asked him if he needed any info from me to reschedule the appointment, and he said "no, you're all good." I said thanks and walked out, he obviously didn't reschedule me or anything so I have no intention on returning anyways. There was no real accountability or initiative to solve the problem, only a verbal "we'll make sure to get your name down on the waiting list." What the hell were you doing the first time I called, then? If you guys can't even keep your word about a loaner car, how can I trust you to be honest while working on my own car? Absolute joke, stay away if you value your own time. UPDATE 09/26/2023: If Tim C. reaches out to you asking for your last name & phone number, don't even bother. My experience with the service department was horrible! They scratched my bumper during service and are now saying it came like that. Service adviser was Adam Wright. Terrible customer service, he's a one word man... lucky if you get two words out of him. When I finally spoke to the service manager Larry Diaz he said he checked the cameras of when I pulled in and that the scratches were there already. A.) I asked on why Adam did not document these scratches when he was doing a 360 inspection with his clipboard - he said that they don't necessarily rely on the the paper notes during the walk through and that that's why they have the cameras. So if you have to go there... MAKE SURE YOU DOCUMENT and initial any previous damage. B.) Larry Diaz the service manager sent me a zoomed/ blurry image of my bumper and says that based of that image they can see that my car was already damaged. And that he can't send me a better image because his system will not allow it. And that if I want to se the video I have to go there. Im not wasting my time on a lost cause. Also when I first took in my car it was for the rear view camera not working. They kept the car all day till the end Adam called and said, "the camera was dirty all we did was cleaned it. My bad I should have checked it in the morning when you were here" when I shared this with Larry the manager he said well this was the technicians fault. Eventually after 3 trips they concluded they would change the camera and scratch my bumper. Just spoke with corporate. Their documenting this internally and letting the higher ups at Omeara know. The blurry picture is from Larry and the clear pictures are mine when I picked up my car. Why does Larry's picture not have a time stamp? This dealership takes advantage of their customers. I had my car in for an oil change, an inspection, and a broken headlight. The paper work check list they gave us didn't have any recomendations for the engine and their check list did not find anything wrong with my car. We paid $550 to have the headlight replaced but that didnt fix it then they wanted another $600 to fix the headlight. They kept my car for over a week and I had to pay over $3,000 for everything. Then I drove less than 100 miles and then the engine completely broke down and was leaking oil everywhere. The dealership said the car needs a completely new engine now ($23,000). The dealership refused to take any responsibility and refuses to pay to fix my car. They won't even cover the fee to have the car towed to their shop ($400), a comprable tow truck to our house is $150. Brought my 2017 Jetta in to Omeara VW service dept back in 2018. I was greatest by an advisor named Tim who gladly went over the car. Polite, friendly, took the time to answer all my stupid questions because I'd never owned a VW before, believe me, they were really stupid questions! He had alot of patience with me, didn't take advantage of my ignorance, and made a real lasting impression on both me and my wife. Over the years id come to meet Adam and Heath who I can't brag about enough...these guys are badass! Always helped me out without question. Place was always clean techs are polite and love their cars. In 2021 I figured since service was this way I'd give sales a try. I believe this is where I met Steve Stern the first time and he helped me into a new 2021 Tiguan. I fell in love with the product! Excellent vehicle for my family. Safe, reliable, responsive braking and acceleration, controls were simple enough even i could figure them out. Sales wasn't pushy or over aggressive and the process went real smooth. In December I met with with James Huett, whom I'd already been in touch with about the newer Tiguans. Of course I pick probably one of their best potential sales days of the year. I tied this guy up with my indecision and more dumb questions for a good part of the day. He could have ditched me for a more positive sale but he didn't. He hung in there with me, went over options, looked at a couple cars, in the end I bought a 2023 Tiguan. Again Steve hooked me up with good options on payments and finance and signing was really fast. There was an issue with the fuel door, so next day James brought me a Tiguan, which I thought was extremely thoughtful being im used to the Tiguans, for a loaner...brought it to me at work. Took my car in to be serviced and even offered to bring it all the way out to Firestone to my house if need be. It ended up I had to keep loaner overnight and James, again brought my new car to me shiny, clean, fixed, and ready to rock the new year with. Absolutely amazing salesman and service people. Can't say enough thank yous. Don't know if I just got lucky or this is the Omeara way, but right on! Thank you to the whole team! It takes a team to win the game and personally I think ya all have a damn good one! From James and Steve to Adam and Heath...perfect! Thank you Omeara for a good experience, an excellent vehicle, and great people. We will be back soon for my wife's new car from Omeara VW and James Huett. Putting on winter tires used to cost about 70$... they just increased it to 120$. Apparently the branch wasn't making enough money, so I guess they figured charging the customer more was the way to go. As of October 2019, discount tires charges 84$..... my suggestion is to go there! Very disappointed at every level with O'Meara VW, and regret ever getting a car from them. Update: The service manager is apparently new and has been helping the place get better and more in line with VW standards. They have struggled for many years and I have faith they can and will improve. I know some of the shop guys are great and hopefully the whole team can go through a wholistic makeover. They have informed me that they will be covering the repairs Under one of my 3 warranties (yes 3, new car, TDI, and CPO). I came to update this review to be fair to how they have started to treat my wife and I. Initial post: Okay another round of reviewing this place. I unfortunately was required to bring my new diesel Volkswagen here for service. Under the TDI warranty everything is covered, supposedly. The service manager is asking that I pay $$$ to replace the mass air flow sensor BEFORE he can complete the warranty work of replacing emissions parts. I have contacted VWoA again for help and am waiting they are helping me work through this. They do not believe I should be paying anything so hopefully they can help me. read more

Almost made the deal but told them I wanted to have a mechanic look at it and talk with Honda before returning my lease. The car has a ton of body damage (hail and it looks like the driver's side got swiped) and they told me that was the reason for the discount. They assured me it would be sold today blah blah blah. Been emailing one of the sales guys, Josh back and forth this morning asking him for details in regard to the service that has been done to the car because it looked like they covered up some leaks with goop. Upon entering we were greeted by Jayla and she was absolutely great at taking our list of what we were looking for and finding something that fit our needs perfectly(and, quite frankly, much better than expected.). I filled an app out online, and was contacted by Paul stating that I was approved for financing. He even confirmed how much financing I was approved for. I set a time to meet him and showed up. He told me that he was too busy to meet and passed me off to another salesperson by stating that we can definitely make a deal. The next salesperson tells me he needs $1000 down and he can make it work. I agree to the down payment, he disappeared for a while, started helping another customer and after 2 hours he came back and said no deal. They are clearly dishonest people. If you are in a similar situation as me with bad credit, don't come to these guys. I'm hey will lie to you, make you sit there for 2 hours only to tell you that you need 1/3 down. read more

*** Former Lithia VW / North Valley "Dealin Doug" VW *** This review is only for the service department. So far so good. Occasionally I have to pester them for call backs for status on my vehicle. Seems to be shortchanged with service writers for some reason. Has been great so far with dealing with yet more warranty repairs for the vehicle. Waiting room water bottles have gone from 16 oz to the mini 8 oz. Otherwise the waiting room has free WiFi, an assortment of snacks, free coffee, and free Satellite TV. Looking a little dated but clean and serviceable. Overall a solid A-OK. Service Hours are 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM M-F and 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM Sat. The showroom is 8:30 AM - 9:00 PM M-Sa. I went car shopping,,, unsure which type of car I wanted. These people were so pushy!!! The sales lady helping me was berated for not getting all my info before I looked on the lot to see what they had for sale! (Like I'm going to give you any of that before I find a car I like!) I left there because I felt like a quota number,, not a customer!! I made my purchase elsewhere,,, At a dealership that was happy to let me look around before I opted for several types. They also took the time to educate me about why they had a superior vehicle for sale,,, something this place did not offer! They belittled their help and did little to offer any customer service!!
