I walked in to pick up some parts and it seems like everyone ignored me. I even tried to be polite and say "hey how're y'all doing?" This was the 3rd O'Reilly's I had gone to in less than a week. I kept having issues with my battery, negative cable kept coming loose, causing my car not to start and constantly having to pop the hood and try to tighten it. First trip to one in Carrollton I was sold the cable which had the terminal, etc. Days later a friend told me that wasn't the correct part, second O'Reilly's told me it was the correct part. Today, I visited the Matlock location and Scott followed me to my car, took a look at it and within minutes was working on it! Cable wasn't needed, he replaced the clamp(terminal?) that connects to the post. My car started right up! I will continue to go to this location from now on. Amazing service and I'm so glad my car is up & running! read more

Once again O'Reilly's goes above and beyond with customer service and part knowledge! Chuck was able to find a carburetor kit out of the wild blue using only what basic minimal information I had on an unknown carb. Yes they were helpful in beginning but only got 2 stars because 1) he came out to check what kind of headlight bulbs and accidently dropped a plastic cap (that goes on backside of headlight) down into my car and had to dismantle my car to get to it..... then proceeded to tell me he couldn't change out my bulbs for me because the battery needed to be removed to get to one of them. There bulbs were $5 more than other auto store. Other auto store had them changed out in less than 5 minutes (without removing battery) and were cheaper read more

Nothing like driving 200 miles and then have your car battery light come on :-( I was able to get the car to an auto supply that could check the battery and charging system and they confirmed my suspicions that the alternator's voltage regulator was outputting too low a voltage. I remembered buying the alternator from O'Reilly's back home so I went over there. They took my phone number and confirmed my purchase and warranty status. They did require the alternator be tested on their bench tester so I popped it out and took it over to the Matlock store. In less than 25 minutes I was driving back to my in-laws' house with a no-cost replacement for my old unit. It went in without trouble and my wife and car are happy. Vacation saved! O'reilly Auto Parts located at 4011 e. Belknap st in Ft Worth Texas. Being of Asian decent I guess my money is not valued there. This is the fifth time this has happened to me at that location. I will wait my turn in line then when it is my turn and someone comes behind me that speaks Spanish the clerk will decide that I am not a valuable costumer. They seem to think that the person of the same decent as them should get waited on even if they just walked up and I have spent time waiting my turn. This has been going on for years. I keep waiting a year or so hoping that it might be different. Only reason for giving the place so many chances was because it is on the way home. Well no more. I will never give them any of my money. I will either try to make it to another location or will order from Amazon. If it was possible to give them a negative five stars I would. T. Cheng read more

Place is trash, no one knows anything here, people are lazy and aren't willing to work. Unorganized and rude service. No knowledge, people that works there has no sense on working on a car. Seen them struggling on how to work on stuff, and can't even look up a damn thing. There's worker that would just stand there and huddle around together and talk to one another as if there isn't any customer to take care of. Or sometimes you would have to walk up to them just so they can take care of your service. Place is terrible and workers don't know anything when it's a simple thing to look up. And the place can't even pick up their phone and let them ring till they call back. read more

Never enough workers here. All I wanted was a check engine light check and they couldn't even do that for me. The manager needs to check up on things asap, because only two workers when the line goes all the way to the door is a problem. "We can't perform a check engine light test for you when the line is this long, but I'll gladly go up stairs and spend 10 minutes looking for a part for someone else". That makes complete and total sense. read more

Worst service ever took in battery to be checked and service rep put it on tester and left it on the machine for an hour and said it was good but it was not. took it back home and went for drive and it died again. So Back to store to get new battery and get made fun of by service reps that it was not battery but the starter or alternator on my 3 year old Nissan I said no I do not thinks so he responded your not the expert I am . Well Mr expert you were wrong it was the battery it had a bad cell and both auto zone and the ORielys on cooper confirmed it was bad. I think you need to have machine checked and some more customer training for your staff. Customer has money and you send them away not good business. I think the one comment out of the expert may have set me off "why did u try to start your car 3 times to test the battery." Really lets see Mr Expert why would I try to test a battery on a car More than once? read more

Do yourself a favor a drive 5 minutes up Matlock to AutoZone or Advance. I usually have pretty good luck at O'Reilly, but this particular store is awful. The employees are barely competent. I once asked for a socket adapter and the guy told me they don't have them. Went to AutoZone and he showed me 5 in stock. I recently had some paint matched - except it didn't match. Rather than apologizing or showing any sense of customer care, the lady at the paint counter became childishly defensive and put the blame on me. Really disappointed with this store, and I would urge corporate to have a look at who they're hiring. read more

The customer service really stinks here. I come here because it's on my way home. A few weeks ago I went in on a Saturday morning and their was a young girl working behind the counter and was talking to her coworker and every other word out of her mouth was F*** this and F*** that. Today, I went in to get some license plate bolts. I noticed 3 people at the counter being helped and 2 waiting in line. I found my bolts and got in line and noticed 2 of the guys helping customers and the other chatting with someone that didn't even buy anything. It didn't bother him that there was 2 people waiting in line. Waited a few more minutes then I just left. I'm done with this place. read more

The store I was at is not listed. I worked at Cooper street and Sublet store for 1.5 years. When I had to leave for a better job, and was unable to give a full 2 weeks notice, they refused to pay my accrued vacation pay. Said it was company policy. Have submitted a written request for a copy of that policy, but have not received a response. I consider the Corporate greed is excessive and will no longer shop there. The foul taste of a bad experience lingers for long after the experience. My recommendation is don't work or shop at Oreilly auto parts. If you are a current employee and plan on leaving, take your vacation, get your pay, cash your check and don't return. read more
