Came in on a random Monday morning with my phone (iphone 12) refusing to turn on after a rough fall…read moreonto wood floors. Two kind workers greeted me as I came in and I was quickly helped by one of them. She examined my phone and was honest in saying she wouldn't know exactly what I would have to have fixed until she opened it up. I answered a few questions, signed a document, and got a call just over an hour later letting me know my phone was ready. The repair was much cheaper and faster than I had expected, making me happy with my choice in going to this business. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing a repair. Thank you Heather!

On 09.22.25 at approximately 10:00 p.m. EST, I accidentally dropped my phone face down on a hard,…read moredry floor, which cracked the screen. Around 11:00 p.m., I attempted to file an insurance claim through the Xfinity app, but the process would not complete. Since I did not have access to a computer, I contacted Assurant via chat to get the claim started. That interaction was extremely frustrating. The agent was impatient, unkind, and ultimately gave me incorrect information by telling me I could go to an Xfinity store for repairs. Later, I received an email directly from Assurant stating that my repair location was Batteries Plus on Pipestone and providing a link to set an appointment. Because half of my phone screen was not functioning, I could not use the link to schedule. I decided to go to Batteries Plus in person the next morning around 9:00 a.m. I provided the staff member with my claim number and explained why I did not have an appointment. Her response was dismissive and inappropriate. After I explained, she asked why I didn't use a computer and remarked, "Most people have computers at home." This comment was unnecessary and unprofessional. She then told me that no technician would be available until 11:00 a.m. and that I should return around noon. This made me question the point of requiring an appointment if staffing is not aligned with service availability. While another employee arrived, I overheard her whispering in the back, including the comment, "I'm just trying to help her," in a snarky tone. There was additional confusion when my claim showed under my ex-husband's name, even though my account should have been fully updated into my name years ago. This ongoing issue continues to cause unnecessary obstacles whenever I need service. When I returned after noon to pick up my phone, a different staff member rushed me through without explanation. I later discovered that a screen protector had been applied to my phone without my consent. Regardless of the waived deductible, this is an unauthorized modification to my device. I do not use screen protectors, as they are ineffective on curved screens and break easily. To summarize, I experienced: Stress and misinformation during the claim setup with Assurant. Disrespectful and dismissive comments from Batteries Plus staff. Lack of professionalism, including whispering about me within earshot. Continued account mismanagement, with my ex's name still tied to the claim. An unauthorized modification to my device without consent. This experience was unnecessarily stressful, and I hope it is addressed so no other customer has to go through the same.

Well Batteries plus is the exception to the rule. I walk in as I was having trouble with my phone. A young guy who looked as if he was 12 came to the desk to ask me what he could do...I told him my phone is not even a year old and it was charging right. He looks at the phone then looked at me and said we don't work on Google phones...ughhh but he offered to take to the back and clean the port. No guarantees...needless to say he fixed it and only charged me $10 Highly recommend this place.

I took it back, explained, etc. The tech was very understanding and agreed to make it right - a few hours later they called and said the home button broke during repair. Fine, accidents happen. We went over a few options, which seemed pretty reasonable, and we ended up asking them to just refund the screen cost and move the new battery to my wife's phone, which also needed a new one. Not the best, but given the circumstances, something we were willing to work with. We came back after the second round of repair was complete... And after getting home noticed new damage to the screen in my wife's phone (the corner is now lighter than the rest, with a nice streak down to the middle). I'm honestly not sure I want to go back to the same place for yet another repair even if it's free. 4 stars for customer service, 1 star for technical ability. 5 stars for speed of service, but if it isn't good work, does speed matter?

Found part on car-part.com. Listed as available at the Berrien Springs location. Drove to this…read morelocation to find out the part is actually at the Benton Harbor Location, apparently listing correct location of part is not standard practice, I was told they use Berrien springs address for all parts listing, a customer should somehow know they have to call to find out true location of part. So had to back track 15 miles to Benton Harbor. I arrived at the Benton Harbor store only to discover they only accept cash payment, no checks, no debit cards, no credit cards. Which does not leave the customer as much leverage if they receive a defective part. I was not willing to run to the bank to satisfy there cash only policy so did not make a purchase. My advice would be verify location of part before making a trip, but more important if your needing a high priced item go somewhere else as paying cash will leave you very little buyer protection. Credit or debit card companies will help you if the purchase goes bad. If you pay $1500.00 cash for a used engine and things dont work out, you wont have a whole lot of resources to get your money back.

I bought an AGM battery there about four years ago and it went dead and I took it back and they…read morereplaced it and I asked the guy how many months is this warranty good for he said as long as you own the battery we will replace it that was when he was giving me the replacement battery so I said you mean, I can bring it back anytime if it goes dead again he said yep. So when I called yesterday, March 27, 2025 I was told now that's wrong. That's the wrong information. Someone gave you the wrong information. Well that's a bunch of BS. They need to train their people that work there better because now I'm out almost $300 for a battery. It's been going dead ever since the first time I bought it and the second one was replaced. I charge it up in a month later it's dead recharge it in a month later it's dead. I just charge it again in one week. It was dead and this is the second battery so the lady said your warranty is only good for the first battery and the replacement is not warranty any more than the first one was so you can continue the warranty on the first one through the second one, but at the end of three months or however, long the warranty was that's the end of it when you get to that much Time then you're done with warranty. Anyway, I don't recommend buying anything from them from for a battery because no one explained that to me or I would not have asked and I would not have told them what the first guy and the second guy told me it was actually the second battery that guy is the one that told me if you look it up on their system, they could tell who it was, but they're not doing that either. It's OK if I spend my money there, I guess but we're not gonna train individuals so that they fully understand the warranty. I'll just go do my business somewhere else I don't care what the policy is on how the battery warranty is supposed to be I'm going by what I was told. You take my almost $300 but nobody spending it on training that's why you have one star in your rating's

I recently purchased a used Ford E-450 Econoline Cutaway Bus with a wheelchair lift. There are two batteries in a compartment on the side of the vehicle, which wouldn't hold a charge, so I was constantly having to charge it, or boost it to start. I went online to search for quality batteries at a decent price, and I found exactly what I was looking for on the Advanced Auto Parts website (I highly recommend their website as well, and I even joined their free "Speed Perks" Loyalty program, and received $50.00 off my online order). I called the store to ensure that the batteries I was ordering online were the right fit for my vehicle, and to arrange pick up at the store. They were very helpful, and agreed to install the batteries in the my vehicle for me. When I arrived at the store, dropped my lift gate, and approached the front door in my electric wheelchair scooter. An older gentleman came out to meet me, and hold the door open. Another gentleman and lady at the counter looked up my order, got it ready. One of the guys installed the batteries, which started the bus up immediately. I used my lift to get back on board, plugged my electric chair in to it's charger, and everything was going good. However, I could not get my vehicle into drive, and the lift gate would no longer work. Then the staff went above and beyond anything expected. On a blazing hot 4th of July Saturday, the two gentleman each attempted to help me determine what was wrong with my lift and gear shift. Although they worked hard to help me, it was not working. I needed electrical tester, and some tools to try and fix the problem, and the man behind the counter helped me find some inexpensive items to do the work, and was nice enough to give me a 10% discount on my purchase. I eventually called a tow company repair service, who came out and discovered it was a problem with the break pedal sensor (unrelated to the battery installation) that prevented the shifter from moving out of park, and also locked out power to the lift. That mechanic had a lot of experience working on buses, fixed the problem, and got me on my way. I was extremely impressed with the courtesy, and helpfulness of the customer service at the Benton Harbor Advanced Auto Parts store, and I would definitely shop there again! I find that too many people who are in a frustrating situation, like needing their car fixed, and can't get exactly what they want, often at no fault of the store, become nasty with the staff, and then write bad reviews online, which are generally unjustified. This parts store is one of the better ones. They might not have everything you are looking for in stock, but can probably get it really fast, which is why I recommend shopping on their website, and picking up the item whenever possible. I give the store and their staff a 5 out of 5 star rating!

He then went on to attempt to put the new wipers on my car and was having much difficulty. Another man was sent out to see if he could put the wipers on and he could not also. You would think this would be something that I could've been informed on ahead of time. I got my refund and left. I do not recommend this store.
