My daughter was driving from Grand Rapids to Colorado on Sunday 9/5/21 and her oil drain plug blew. Her car had just been serviced at Fox Subaru in Grand Rapids the week before. They knew she was driving her car to Colorado. She was driving 80 mph on 196 and heard a clunk and smoke came billowing out from under her hood. She pulled over and called Subaru roadside, they could not and would not help her as her 2012 roadside assistance had expired in 2018 (crying on the side of 196 with cars zooming by) ZERO ZERO help. ZERO. She located Zielke Towing and gave them a call, not only did they tow her car ASAP, but they fixed it! On a Sunday over Labor Day weekend. They were so kind and supportive and went out of their way to find the right drain plug, replace the oil that Subaru was supposed to put in her car, not the junk they put in her car, and got her back on the road assuring her she would be ok. Zielke Towing and especially our driver Mark were GREAT during a difficult experience where we needed to have our car towed. We had a car emergency on Sunday of Labor Day weekend and unexpectedly had to stay in Benton Harbor until the Tuesday after Labor Day to be able to get things worked out so that we could get home to Carmel, Indiana. I was at a hotel in Benton Harbor with my 3 daughters and my car was stuck in the AutoZone parking lot in Coloma near where the car trouble had started. I needed to have my car towed to South Haven and Mark went above and beyond to not only tow my car but to come pick us up from the hotel in Benton Harbor and also to transport us to South Haven. During a very challenging weekend Mark was a HUGE BRIGHT SPOT and actually made the towing experience FUN (if ever you could have fun with having the need to have your car towed) for my girls and for me. I typically do not write reviews, but felt that I needed to on this one. My family and I traveled up to Silver Beach for the day on Sunday, July 12, 2020. As we pulled into the beach parking lot, the alternator on our van went out. I spent four hours trying to change the alternator in the beach parking lot prior to giving up and calling for a tow to the local Chrysler dealership. Luckily, I called Zielke. Jason was in the parking lot in about 10 minutes and offered to bring our van to their shop to put the new alternator in first thing the next morning. The next morning, I was able to pick up our van and everything was fixed and ready to go. Their price for the work done was more than reasonable and we were able to make it home (2 hours away) with no issues. Thank you so much to Jason and everyone at Zielke!! I got a flat tire on a Saturday at laperla Mexican restaurant in Benton Harbor. My wife and i made several phone calls trying to get a towing company or someone to come change my tire. AAA was 3 to 4 hours and ussa was 4 hours out also. The guy working behind the counter named Izzy gave me a Zielke Towing card. called them they said 10 to 20 minutes. Their Driver showed up before we got our food he said our shop is around the corner I'm going to pull your flat tire off and take it back and fix it. unfortunately the tire was not fixable the drive said we have new tires and used tires in stock i can put one on for you. we went with a new tire was a good deal compared to other places I bought tires at. we finished our lunch as we were walking out the tow truck driver was letting the jack down. great service, great people, i cant say enough good about this company for saving the day. Serpentine belt issue driving back from work meetings in Chicago to Grand Rapids rendered my car undriveable. Entire experience with Zielke was top shelf. From dispatcher Lori calmly diagnosing my location and sending tow service to my tow driver "E" who was friendly, personably and engaging to the office manager Cindy who offered this weary traveler a muffin and access to cold bottled water. Jason (owner) and Joey (mechanic) along with KC (billing?) worked diligently to find the needed parts and stayed well beyond the normal quitting time to fix my car and get me back on the road. I still had an hour plus of drive time home, so I was completely stuck. Service was performed at a high level and for a fair price. At 10 pm on Saturday, July 2, after a lovely party at a friend's home in St. Joseph, MI, I came out to a flat tire. My internet search showed lots of options for repairing tires Tues, July 5, but not sooner, and I live in Chicago. As a long-shot, I contacted Zielke Towing & Tire. Jason could not have been more helpful. We spoke at 8 Sunday morning, and by 9 am I was back on the road with my new tire. I even got a lesson in tire repair and safety (at every oil change, have the spare tire pressure checked!). Wonderful business. I was in St Joseph to visit a friend at the hospital from out of town and had a flat on my old utility trailer. Mark sold me a pair of hard-to-find used 14" tires at a very fair price and persevered with the mounting of them, dealing with rusty rims and leaking beads. He re-did them a couple of times to make sure they were right before sending me on my way. Jason was very accommodating as well. Towing companies in general are usually known for taking advantage of people in a jam, but this old-school shop seems to have honesty and integrity. My only regret is that they are not closer to my home, so I could give them all my auto repair business !! read more

Huge shout out to Mark. My son was on his way to VoTech this morning and his caliper came off...he lost all his brakes and the valve stem busted leaving him with a flat tire sitting on the side of Red Arrow Hwy. We used our towing hotline with Auto Owners insurance and they dispatched Zielke Towing. Mark showed up very quickly, and got the Truck back to our home. Mark was extremely courteous and even complimented my son on his nice truck. He recognized a hardworking young kid and made sure to take care of him. Mark was very kind and generous. The only company that would help me, my car broke down in Saint Joseph I called several towing companies. Half of them didn't answer their phone the other half did but said they weren't available. I need my car towed to my mechanic in Benton harbor. When I called Zielke Towing they said no problem give us 30 minutes and we will have someone there to help you. This was at 10 pm on a Thursday night. Driver showed up in about 20 minutes. He loaded my car up got it dropped off at the mechanic and gave me a ride back home. FIVE STARS! Mark is so helpful and kind! I hit a pothole on the highway on a Sunday evening and my tire went flat immediately. Despite the day and time being far less than ideal, Mark made sure I still got towed to a safe location as quickly and carefully as possible. Great help today from Jason! We were traveling through Benton Harbor during the snowstorm and hit something on the highway causing a flat tire. Jason was the only one who picked up our call as our own insurance was unable to help! We were stuck at a nearby hotel, and without Jason's suggestion of slightly loosening the lug nuts and then driving slowing around the hotel parking to break the corrosion free, we would have never been able to get the old tire removed and the spare on. While traveling on the HWY in Benton Harbor, Mi. our RV completely lost power and we became disabled alongside of road on Memorial Day afternoon May 30, 2022. Finally Auto Club found Zielke Towing that was willing and able to tow a Class B RV. "E" the tow truck driver loaded us up and got us to not only safety, but to the Zielke Towing Headquarters where Jason (The Owner) actually was kind enough to trouble shoot the problem, make temporary repairs and get us on the road. I hit something unseen while turning out of a parking lot and ripped up a front tire. I called triple A and they said they would come in under an hour. I needed a tow to a nearby tire store and they were closing in an hour 45 minutes. I waited an hour for the triple A no-show then called the tire store and they recommended Zeilke. They came in about 5 minutes, loaded the disabled vehicle on their truck in record time and as I write this I am waiting for the new tire to be installed. Nick from this company was an absolute bro, helped us out of the sand by lake michigan. Can't recommend these guys highly enough. Got there super quick, and worked hard to get the car out of the sand was nice and sociable and it didn't end up costing alot so we were able to make it back it back home (tourists). Our fob wasn't working correctly and we managed to lock ourselves out of our vehicle.
