Called up needing a battery. A gentleman answered and comfirmed it was there. When I showed up I could tell who I spoke to by his distinguished voice. Hector, he was knowledgeable, helpful, and great to talk to. I didn't arrive with expectation of someone installing the battery. Only to borrow tools. I went into this store and asked the lady at the register if I could get my battery checked. Her name is Stacy L. And she quickly met me outside with a tester and said my 2 year old battery (3 year warranty)was bad. She installed a brand new battery at no charge in less then 25 minutes(start to finish). She was very knowledgeable about how to install the battery and very capable in lifting it into place. So pleasantly surprised to see more women working at auto parts stores in Chandler. I'm typically a loyal customer. I'm respectful of hard working employees, I tip well and I'm usually understanding, depending on the circumstances. However, if you're a disrespectful dick, well then, you'll not only lose my business for sure but you'll likely read about it here, unless I lose my shit, in which case, there's gonna be a problem. Now I've been buying auto/some motorcycle parts here for about 13 years but this was my last purchase at O'Reilly. Here's how it went down: During one of my visits last June, I buy wiper blades for my girl. She didn't need to use them until she was driving in the rain recently. They must've been a defective set because they kept skipping and making that annoying sound every time they were turned on. So when I'm back in town last month, I go to exchange them. Robert, the store manager, was just a straight up dick from the word go. At first he claimed that he didn't recognize the wiper blades as being from his store and because I didn't have my receipt, well, I'm out of luck. I don't think so. I go home, locate the credit card transaction on my phone and I come back, because I don't really take no for an answer, especially under such circumstances. He finally finds the store copy of my receipt and begrudgingly agrees to warranty them "this one time", with an identical replacement that they had in stock. I guess now he recognized them as being from his store after all. After typing the equivalent of War and Peace into his 1890's computer, without apology, he hands me the replacement set and is clearly disgusted that he actually had to warranty one of his products for a very patient and calm customer. A guy like this shouldn't be managing a store and definitely shouldn't be dealing with the public. Makes you wonder who's running shit at corporate. Because of this incident, I'll never go back to this store and will avoid the chain whenever possible elsewhere. After all, with so many options for auto parts in these here parts, there ain't no reason fer me to return here fer any parts even if parts is parts. Know wut uh meen Vern? My battery died. No biggie it happens. Got sold a replacement that didnt fit. Returned for the right size. Battery was dead. Returned again and confirmed the new off the shelf battery was no good. This is one of the most routine pieces of maintenance possible. Get your computer systems updated and follow procedures that doesnt leave a customer to make multiple trips in 100+ degree weather to get it right. read more

I went into O'Reillys this morning, after stopping at Autozone. I needed a headlight. Autozone told me they couldn't put the bulb in for me because it was to involved. I then went directly across the street to Oreillys. I explained my situation, they not only took the "involved" headlight apart and installed the new one, they checked all my lights to make sure they were working properly. Both of the employees that helped me were very professional, while still maintaining a pleasant, happy demeanor. I couldn't have been more pleased with their service. I will recommend them to everyone. And I will also trash Autozone for their very unprofessional handling of this situation. I had an early morning flight and my car battery died the night before at 8:00 PM! My daughter looked up this place on her phone and they were luckily open until 10:00. Adrian saved the day!! He put the new battery into my car - which wasn't easy - there was a cage on it (apparently Lexus wants you to go to them for a new battery). He was so sweet and helped us get the new battery and on we went! Having worked for Nordstrom for 14 years, I know a thing or two about customer service. This location is awesome. On September 1st my car broke down about 5 mins from here. I managed to get to this location and Joseph literally got in his car and came down to jump mine. I then drove down to the shop and not only did he change my battery but he ran a codes test, showed me how to add oil, and stayed a little past 9 to educate me on my vehicle! From the start he was caring and I will probably never go to another location. His costumer service FAR exceeded my expectations and his willingness to still ask what else he could for me after he already stayed late? Amazing. Love love love this staff! read more

I visited O'Reilly's this afternoon after noticing my headlight was out. Jared, the gentleman who greeted me as soon as I walked in the door, was more than helpful. I told him my headlight was out and he immediately found the bulb I needed. Not only did he help me find the right bulb, but he volunteered to replace it for me, showed me how to replace it, and also gave me a few tips on how to make the bulbs last longer. I couldn't have asked for better service! After such an impressive experience today, I intend to make all of my future car-related purchases at O'Reilly's. read more

But I never usually would say this but the manager is straight up rude, a nice employee was helping when he said come here while we were finding a multi tester to pick out and he yelled at him in front of every one making him feel bad for messing up change. I can't believe the customer service for O'Reilly. My husband fixes our vehicles himself to save us money. Look at what happened. "Auto Zone it is. I bought a fuel filter for my truck. Took it home, replaced it and when I went to start it, the hoses were leaking gas everywhere and the hose from the tank to the filter blew off. I replaced the safety clip on the hose, thinking that might be the problem. Same thing. This lead me to believe that the disconnects inside the hose were the problem. I had AAA tow it and replace the hose. This is a Ford hose and it's a specialty item. $287 for that and $250 for labor because they had to drop the tank. They replace the hose and the same thing is happening. Turns out, I was sold the wrong filter. I called O'Reilly to see if anything can be done, and all the manager did was offer to refund the filter. After having to buy a new filter from AAA so they could replace it, I'm now out $624.93 from them, and about $15 for a new safety clip. I'm not an Auto Zone fan, but will be heading there from now on." I'm updating my review as the district manager has taken care of our bill from AAA and the safety clip. It took awhile with going through corporate, but we are satisfied with the customer service from the district manager. We will continue to use O'Reilly but maybe go to a different location. read more

I had a wonderful experience here today. I had replaced my battery earlier this year but was having trouble starting my car today. I took it into O'Rielly and they were super friendly and expedient with their service. While the battery seemed to be testing fine off the car, it was not cooperating while in the car. I received a new battery under a new warranty. While I was there I decided to pick up some new windshield wipers and Robert insisted on putting them on for me. I really appreciated the excellent customer service that I received here today, and I will definitely be back for my auto needs. read more

Very rude customer service. Not helpful at all. This is probably one of the worst locations I have visited. The staff is unprofessional at what they do. I asked a question and they all snickered saying they didn't have what I was looking for. They did not have to be rude about it or discuss it with other customers what I was looking for.
