Love my local Autozone here on Ray Rd. And McClintock. You may ask yourself, what makes this autozone particularly different from any of the other locations? Why is this one so special and better than the rest? Well, let me tell you. The customer service here is exceptional. And the attention to detail is beyond super. They really take the time to help you, determine what the problem is, and take all the necessary steps to relieve that problem or issue. They truly tackled the problems head on. For example, Fernando was amazing. He went above and beyond what was required of him. I would like to write his service five out of five for helping my elderly mother, replace her headlamp bulb. Amazing guy. They might not have all of the tools or specific parts that you need to fix your vehicle in stock at any given moment. But they are willing to help direct you in the right direction, and they have a can-do attitude which to me is everything. On a sidenote, it's quite interesting how that right across the street is an O'Reilly auto parts store. I'm sure there's a huge rivalry from street to street. No hate against them, I especially love their jingle. Oh ohh ohh, O'Reilly (ohh'Reilly) auto parts. Yow! But I'm gonna have to give it to the get in the zone, AutoZone. Cant say enough good things about this store. My elderly mother in law was disoriented, lost and had driving around the Chandler area for hours She was over 31 miles from home and distraught. She stopped in to this store and the staff immediately jumped in to assist her. She was comforted by staff and given a chair to wait for us to come get her! She told us that they constantly checked on her and her well being. Thank you Grayson and the other staff from the bottom of our hearts for the kindness showed to her and our family! read more

I Love AutoZone! They are helpful, Knowledgeable and at this place, Valerie and Lenni were supper amazing and helpful with our car battery issue. However, when we returned later in the day, we were bummed with the manager on duty, Elisha and employee Calvin did not really care to help out and everything we asked seemed to be excruciating for them, (I get it it's hot in Az but...) and hence they lost the 5the star...But Valerie came back out and helped finish the job! Its sad that you HAVE to give even one star because I'm done with Autozone. I usually order suspension parts on line from Amazon or ebay because I get top NAME brands, the prices are usually much better, and my status on these sites gains me very fast shipping that has never failed me. So this time, even though the price was a little higher, I decided to order some bushings from my local autozone store at 3920 W Ray Rd. because they told me they would be in by the 17th. On the 17th they had not arrived and I was told it would be two more days. Now, because of my work schedule, I will lose an entire week, not just 2 days. The only option the store gave me was to cancel the order. Great customer service from a company that obviously could care less about their promises OR their customers. I should have known better, shame on Autozone and shame on me. UPDATE!!! I am a fair person so I am updating this review. Autozone contacted me to tell me they had my bushings so I went ahead and went to pick them up, and even though it DOES NOT REALLY make up for 2 days of unexpected down time, they made the gesture to refund my money and still give me the bushings. I will give Autozone another chance as this gesture was unexpected and appreciated. So I upped my grading to 3 stars since even if this might not have been their fault, they took it on as their problem and did what they could to try and make me happy and I thank them for that. read more

Car batteries apparently have shorter lives in Arizona than other places or so I've been told. Maybe something to do with needing to blast the AC about 6-8 months outta the year, or maybe just due to the hellfire heat in general. *shrugs in Canadian* Have done car battery changes here over the years and have always had quick and friendly service from this Autozone. Terrible service. Went in to get my truck looked at and the kid who was helping me didn't have a clue to what was going on. Wasted 45 min of my day in 120 degree weather. Would not recommend service from any of the people, they are extremely rude and don't care about anything. I came in about 30 minutes prior to closing for a bulb for my taillight. Greg looked up which one I needed and discovered he didn't have the one I needed in stock. Instead of leaving it at that, Greg went well above and beyond and came out and looked at my vehicle to see if we could make a different bulb work. Yesterday My children and I were checking out the chandler mall for the first time. My son was waiting for my daughter& niece to come out the mall. He was listening to music but the car wasn't fully on so he drained my battery completely at almost 8 pm on a Saturday. I called autozone and spoke with Josh about the portable jumper. He was simply amazing just overall I took an Uber to the store to get it and return to my car. Once I returned and attempted to start the car it wouldn't start still. I called back to the store and spoke with Josh at this point it's a few minutes after 9 pm. I'm nervous but Josh answers again and I told him the problem he looked up my info and said you have a warranty my co worker Isaiah will bring you a new battery! Listen I never felt so blessed in my life, I had 5 kids with me worried about how to get us home. Isaiah arrived took out the old replaced with the new one in the mall parking lot! These are the type of people we need in the world because they didn't even hesitate they just DID it! I am truly grateful for JOSH and especially for ISAIAH!! I (being a female) don't know a lot about cars, but knew I needed oil and some coolant. Stopped in the local Autozone by my job and the young man MARSHALL, was so extremely kind, rang me up, walked me out, added some oil, poured in my coolant and all with a genuine smile and even a lil story about both of us being Dodge fans and how the new Barracuda and Magnum will be released later this year. They don't have the selection of the enormous Tempe store, but I can't complain about this location. The employees are friendly--even when you do something really dumb like miss a whole shelf full of oil filters--and most of them actually know how cars work! If you need something that's only at the giant Tempe store, they'll call ahead and have it held for you. I'm in here for consumables and detailing supplies all the time. And batteries every three years or so. Well-organized, well-stocked, and the employees are always eager to help find something. If I had one complaint (which I'm not docking this store for), it's that corporate's grown a little bit too excited about the register selling opportunities. No, I don't want any of the three crappy Lucas products on special this month. I do not want them for a boat. I will not put them in my goat. Went there the other day since I was heading in that direction to kill 2 birds with 1 stone looking for a tool...worst customer service ever went up to the counter to ask the kid if they had the socket I needed....kid replied if you don't see it there we don't have it and I can't check inventory or other stores.. and acted like he couldn't be bothered then he walked away from me and started messing with a battery...I walked back over to the tool section to look again and got frustrated. I then went back to the counter and asked the other guy a question who I assumed was a supervisor and he was more interested in talking to his friend saying he was getting ready to leave and pretty much didn't answer my question no one seems to know anything about parts tools or cars there at all....at that point I walked out and went next door to harbor freight.....won't be going back to that auto zone again WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE !!!! read more

I want to give a big shoutout to Gaelan over there. Today I set out to do some big work on my car the fuel injectors, spark plugs and MAF sensor. After doing the work my check engine light came back on and he suggested after all the work I did to swap coil packs. Then for sure it'll be the problem. That did the trick! Came back and the code moved from cylinder 3 to 4. Bought a coil pack and replaced it at home and now my car is driving like brand new. Major thanks to Gaelan for his help and patient.
