Yesterday I went to the O'Reilly store on elk Groveflorin Road and Calvine to see how well charged my battery was. I was told that my battery was no good anymore because acid was coming from it. I don't know the name of the guy that helped me, but he went above and beyond the call of duty all I remember is he had beautiful hair, long black ponytail that was curly a real lifesaver. Did not catch a name during my visit, oops... Went here recently to purchase a double pack of front bulbs to replace the headlights in our SUV. What I did appreciate during this visit is that the rep asked questions such as, do I want more brightness or a yellow tint, and when asked, mentioned that the company offers a military discount. I always like going into an auto parts store to check out all the products that are available for vehicles. Whether it be motor oil, special cleaning supplies, wind shield wipers, replacement headlights, batteries, decorative gadgets, etc. Unfortunately, for Joe K, his truck was broken into and one of the random items that were stolen from his vehicle, was the key to his tires. To top things off, Joe had to painstakingly chip and pound the old lug nuts from each tire to make way for a new set. It's hard to believe that the tire stores we visited will not do this for you! Luckily, the nice young woman at this O'Reilly's was very helpful in locating the correct key set for his large tires. Our peace of mind was restored, especially after several weeks of worrying about the possibility of getting a flat tire and unable to fix it! It's nice to have this auto parts store so close to where we live! read more

A big shout out to Peter the manager of O'Reillys, I came in to buy some oil for my daughter's car. I put in 2 quarts and I ran back in the store to grab one more, and he said "please let me check your oil just to make sure". Thank goodness he did because I would've put too much oil in, every time I go in there I'm amazed by their customer service they are outstanding they are a 10 out of 10. I came into O'Reilly today because my battery died that morning and after getting it jumped, I came to this location. I wanted to figure out if it was the battery or the alternator and called in and ask. They said they could help me. Out of instinct, I just drove and actually pulled up to the Autozone down the street lol But I figured since I was already there and didn't want to get stuck or have my battery just die, they could help me. The Autozone associate was young and checked my battery, citing it as a "good battery", he checked it twice. He did mention he might have checked it wrong....??? I asked if they were able to check the alternator, the manager at Autozone recommended that I go over to O'reilly down the street since they have a machine to check the alternator, so that's what I did. I got to O'reilly and the manager remembered speaking to me on the phone earlier. He helped me right away. He then checked both battery and alternator for Free (one of their complimentary services). Turned out the battery was bad and the alternator was still good, which was surprising. All associates were friendly, attentive, and professional. They were able to change the battery for me and thankfully so because I'm 9 months pregnant lol and those batteries are heavy. I normally always go to Autozone because there were so many of them close by to us growing up, but after coming to this O'reilly location with such a great experience, I feel more comfortable and assured to come here the next time I need something. Peter is the Manager at this Location. I have come to this store several times and both times Peter exceeding my expectations with his Excellent Customer Service and willingness to help. He greets everyone entering and no matter what questions you have he is always able and willing to answer and help you understand what you are purchasing for you car. Being female it can be very intimidating going into an auto parts store so this is awesome to have someone that is looking out for your best interest. I went to O'Reilly yesterday to get my windshield wipers replaced. One of the Managers name Suphai was on duty when we walked into the store. He greeted us as he was helping another Customer at the register. After he finished ringing up his Customer he came over to ask us what we were looking for. We told him that we needed new windshield wipers. He asked a few questions about the model and year of our car and proceeded to search in his computer system to find the correct wipers we needed. He was very courteous and quick to find the correct match. He then attempted to change my windshield wipers. He then realized my car need wipers that had these clips that he did not have in store at the moment. He then told me he can order that part and it would be in by the next day which would be today since I went in yesterday. I went in today and he was right, that part arrived today and he put them on in seconds. I mean this guy was so fast and good at what he does. No wonder this location has such good yelp reviews. The Customer Service here is amazing! Suphai ordered the part for me yesterday and as soon as today in the afternoon it was already here. Wow that was really quick. I haven't written a review for a while but I just had to jump Yelp and write about my amazing service I received by an O'Reilly staff member. Thank you Suphai for terrific service! Parts is parts. That's true for auto parts stores if you're looking for new wiper blades, fuses or even a distributor cap. Peruse the aisles, roll your eyes at the endless Nascar paraphernalia, avoid impulsively grabbing the fuzzy dice, find what you really need, purchase and go. But what happens if you're an automotive know-nothing like me, needing some sort of rubber, elbow-shaped valve, molded specifically for a '97 Ford F150, to pass a smog check? Within the next hour? You go to Kragen on Elk Grove-Florin and you find Marlon. I was told by Smoggy the Smog Dude(not his real name) that my truck would fail its smog test because of the worn valve. I needed to get the check done that day in order to make the registration deadline. I know, my fault for procrastinating. I hurried to Kragen, hoping they had these valves prepackaged and hanging in abundance in the conveniently labeled "rubber valves" section. Not the case. As I wandered away from anything that would have remotely helped my situation and toward the fuzzy dice and scented trees, Marlon called out. "Can I help you?" From that point it was a grand display of ignorance on my part and Marlon patiently narrowing down what it was I needed. This included a walk out to my truck where Marlon checked under the hood, got a visual on the valve and recorded the engine size. Alas, it turned out that Kragen didn't have the part I needed on site but Marlon called other stores, including competitor Autozone. They had it and off I went. I returned to Kragen after replacing the faulty part and had Marlon make sure everything looked sound. He gave me the ok and I heading back to visit Smoggy. Some 20 minutes later, just before the smog check station closed for the day, my truck passed its test. So, yeah, parts is parts. What sets a store like Kragen and employees like Marlon apart is their commitment to helping us less technically fortunate. Great customer service--in this case, what I consider above and beyond--will always bring me back. read more

I hadn't been to an O'Reilly since I was little working with my dad! I was a little intimidated because the automotive industry is typically male-dominated and I've been taken advantage of before. I called on the phone and explained what was going on with my car to Rick (maybe Ricardo) and to see if they were open, given my car decided to cause trouble on Memorial Day. I went down and was helped by an awesome young woman, I cannot remember her name but she was on the shorter side and had really long hair. She hooked their little machine up to my car to see what was going on and found the problem. She took me inside and even mentioned the price-match guarantee for what I needed. Came in today to get some oil for my car oil change. My dad usually does all my car maintenance but today he was busy and so I decided to do it myself. I had no idea what type of oil to buy for my car and so Kyell helped me out. He was extremely kind and helpful. He looked up my car model and told me the oil number my car takes. He helped me to the oil section and picked out my oil for me. Not only that but he told me the deal on chevron oil, buy 5 quarts and a filter for $15. If not then the bottles each were around 4 bucks. My car takes 5 quarts so it worked out perfectly! I saved about 10 bucks today all thanks to Kyell! read more

I've come to this store in the past to get replacement brake light bulbs, car batteries, motor oil, etc. Most recent trip required new spark plugs. Store wasn't busy but immediately upon entry someone behind the counter offered to assist. It was easy to lookup which spark plugs were needed based on car make, model, year, engine, etc. My options for iridium vs. platinum and different price points for NGK brand were provided and once I made my selection he grabbed them from a shelf in the back. The entire transaction took about 5 minutes or so total, and I was able to go home and replace them right away. Much better experience than at Autozone. read more

Great customer service!! I was assisted by Bravo and I had gone in to get new bulbs for my car since one of them went out. He immediately went out to my car and checked it out as well as looked to see if it was easy to access and it was and he actually changed the bulbs for me. He even let me know about upcoming specials on fuel injector cleaner of which I hadn't used in awhile, so I ended getting other stuff, but it was all good! read more

I've always used the O'Reilly's on Gerber and Power Inn. They've always been great with customer service and lately, I've been more than happy with their customer service. My 5 year battery failed on me recently after several roadside jumps and over night trickling charges. They listened to my concerns and tested the battery and found it faulty. Not only did they issue me a brand new battery, they also threw in free battery felt washers. That's customer service and loyalty to continued customer care. read more

Pathetic customer service. I went down to the shop regarding a product and a rep ended up in fussing about things.

So, I took my car into to Firestone to have a oil change and tire tire rotation and sense my car has 160000 thousand miles on it, I wanted them to go over it to see if there was anything that needed fixing. They came back and said everything is fine but I have a bad battery. They ask me if I wanted to purchase a new one. I said no, this battery isn't that old and should still be under warranty. I go home and find my receipt and of course it has a 2 year warranty and it is a month and a half out of warranty. In any case I'm thinking just maybe they will still warranty it or any case give me a discount. I head to O'REILLYs and talk to the counter person and the first thing he says is, you know these other companies they just try and rip you off and sell you things, so let me check your battery. He goes out and checks it and sure enough, it's bad. We go back inside and he says, a new battery is $129 and I can install it for you. I go, you aren't going to cover it under warranty or give some kind of discount. He goes no. How do I know this won't happen again. He says, it was probably a bad patch of batteries, and you did purchase the cheapest battery. You should this time buy the better battery that cost $159. I had enough and just walked out. Couldn't believe that he said that. Will never go back. I bought the battery on 12/29/2016 and I D the battery went bad on the day I took my car to get serviced. Which means it went bad before my warranty was up. O'REILLY Auto Parts should be a stand up company and stand by the things that they sell. read more
