This place is willing to tow Teslas and help with other minor issues! they're located very close to Sky River casino and a great brewery that you could walk to. I had a very simple issue- toe hook was stuck in front bumper after car was towed. I called a few auto shops in the area and unfortunately they weren't able to help but recommended this place, which makes perfect sense because they work on cars but are also a towing company! They can tow from pretty far out- they're willing to go all the way to San Francisco so now I know who to call if I ever get stuck again. They let me come in and fixed my issue within minutes. Poor service and quality. Wanted a new pipe and flange welded onto my aftermarket exhaust instead they cut my stock exhaust to use so now it's scrap. Then found an obvious exhaust leak on the welds. A lot of time wasted for poor service. They did not care. Don't waste your money here. read more

I trust this place with my vehicles, and to make good recommendations. Honestly, they probably could charge more than they do for bigger service items. I have had three of our cars serviced here. Each time I have felt cared for as a customer, and like the work done on the vehicles is high quality. They did a custom welding to secure an exhaust in one of our cars. Each service has been done in a timely manner, and often goes above and beyond. Pricing is great. The few times they checked in with what I would like for next steps, I could tell they cared about the details and about providing quality work. Getting an oil change currently. Was able to call and just come in same day. Good customer service engagement and consistent quality work. Price is a little higher overall as they pay their workers a proper wage. All of their workers are quality mechanics which is why they can deliver such consistent top notch work. I know it's cheaper to go to a generic oil change shop but I prefer to trust the people who work on my cars, and know that the work they are doing is always going to be top notch. I also appreciate when employerd pay their people well. Pricing on bigger repair needs evens the higher oil change cost out for me. *They don't do tires here. Our sibling had a low tire pressure sign come on near this shop, and they took a look for free. They made some recommendations as well as referred us to a local nearby shop. Unfortunately, I was sorely disappointed. I will waste no time sharing my bad experience. This is a shop you will never want to come. The price they charge for parts is double that at the dealership, and you cannot trust them at all. They overcharged me, and when I walked in the next day, the manager James just walked away. Another mechanic told me it was a bad catalytic converter, however, these guys found the issue and it was actually my knock sensors and harness, not the catalytic converter. This shop has run me around and screwed me over more times than I can count. Back in October 2020 I had my car brought in for an oil change and checkup. They told me I was slightly seeping oil and needed a new Timing Chain Cover. They charged $1300 which seemed pretty reasonable and they changed it out. Fast forward to February 2021 and I get my oil changed at a different shop. They tell me that my entire passenger side of my engine was soaked in oil and pooling everywhere. I take my car back to Specialized Exhaust on February 24th and after about 3 days of having my car they tell me I have a warped valve cover and that I need to spend $800 more to fix the passenger and the driver's side too for some reason. The valve cover is directly connected to the timing chain cover for reference, and it has had no problems after 85,000 miles of driving (but as soon as the timing chain cover was swapped it went bad within the next 1,000 miles). I was suspicious that they were trying to cover themselves for messing up the timing chain cover job, but I have to drive to San Diego on March 21st and figured I'd get it done so I could make the trip in my car. They ordered the part and told me they'd call me by March 9 with an update or to bring my car in. I never got a call. I called them March 12 and they told me they would give me a call by the end of the day which never came. I called them again on March 15, and again they told me "Oh sorry we will give you a call by the end of the day on the status of your part" which also never came. Now I'm sitting in limbo and I have to buy a rental car to drive to San Diego and back for a week because of this shop. I'm on the verge of going to BAR and reporting this shop. I've been nothing but patient and respectful with them but they have lost my business and I will steer my friends from ever going here too. read more

Came in for broken exhaust manifold bolts replacement. Paid for all my exhaust manifold bolts to be replaced but the owner said they ONLY replace bolts when the customer specifically asked. I was charged for 16 bolts and do remember asking but his mechanic used a few old bolts. When I called in, he spoke to me like I did not know what I was asking and I was wrong. I do not recommend this shop. He is rude and does not deserve people's business. Also not once did he wear a mask while speaking to anyone. Even while all customers had masks while paying. read more

The guy at the counter not only checked the system which he was sure wouldn't have it, but he took it a step further to go through the hard copies from last November. We have used this place for years. I believe they are under new ownership, but they were dodgy when we asked. They gave us an estimate of $120 to check a problem. We had them do the repair and they added the $120 to the cost. That's never happened before. Also, we had a check engine light & that's all they did to "check the problem". O'Reilly's will read the light for free. We were disappointed & as I said it never happened before at this place. New ownership? I understand charging if the work isn't done, but we had them do the work. Last visit to the shop. Hopefully the work stands up. read more

I've been to Specialized Exhaust a few times over the past year, and their service has always been really good. The first time, I brought my 2013 Cruze in to have a dual exhaust system put in and Paul did an amazing job. It looks good, and sounds even better! I then brought in a 2002 Camaro V6 that I purchased for my nephew. I brought it in with a Flow-master Dual Exhaust system and Paul installed it very quickly. I came back to pick it up and it sounded great (If not a little loud) and the pipes were lined up perfectly. I then got a phone call from my nephew saying there was a pipe in the hatch still (I thought to myself "that's weird!"). I called up Dave (Whom I scheduled the appointment with), and he said he'd ask Paul if it was needed. Paul said he just didn't see it and to bring it back and they'd put it in. I was really impressed with the honesty. I brought the Camaro back the next day and they installed the mid-pipe with the resonator in about 15 minutes. They did it quickly and of course didn't charge me anything extra. They were really nice about the whole thing! I'm planning on bringing in my 2016 Corvette for an exhaust system upgrade in the next few weeks. I love these guys, they're really nice and very honest! read more
