Very horrible experience here today unfortunately I have to say O'Reilly what happened to the real workers who use to represent your store with aloha make you feel welcome and appreciated for supporting your business been coming here for years and years but today the experience with a couple of the workers went downhill. First off walking in today to get a new battery under my warranty the man working the front desk ask for the warranty which I did not have the actual paper warranty on me but I know that O' Reilly is great with keeping their customer's information and warranty in their data base which usually a good representative would ask my name and search it up and say okay we will test it and call you when it's ready, but instead this guy seemed really annoyed that I didn't have it and on top of that didn't even call when my battery was finally ready I had to call and check in hours later. Okay so getting back to the store the next experience from another miserable worker named Daniel " really heavy big set guy " not only we had to deal with him and his horrible attitude but every customer that was in the store had seen how this guy was treating the customers he called up, he was absolutely so rude yelling "next!!!!!! " in a very pissed off way absolutely rude and very unprofessional talking down to people as if he was someone with high authority. Daniel was so angry that we didn't have the little yellow sticker and obviously hated that he had to look up the information on the data base and tried to scold us about it! Like what? Absolutely not! What a shame for O' Reilly auto parts to have employees like this here it makes your business look so bad! my husband and his company spends thousands and thousands of dollars here and this is what we have to look forward to? if they don't do something about this now they will loose a lot of money and customers many customers. We even mentioned what happened to another company that we know and they knew the name of this same worker so this guy has been treating people like this for years! How is this guy still there? An official complaint has been made to corporate they said they will have a meeting on this, something has to be done and these employees should not be there or needs a lot of retraining done! shame shame O'reilly your cooperate company definitely needs knowledge of this for the sake of your business. read more

Came with a friend and my dad to get wipers for my friends car (a Mustang)...store was crowded and there was a short line, but the team that was working, greeted us, said they would be right with us...and continued to help the others before us. When my friend finally chose her wipers and paid (they were A LOT more than Costco) but....she needed them ASAP...so you pay for convenience...we asked if someone could put them on for her...Joshua offered and came outside and the first thing out of his mouth was nice Mustang....that was nice of him to pay my friend a compliment as she was a little overwhelmed with this process. After chatting with Joshua for a few minutes we found that he had a Mustang too.....but not any regular Mustang, he fixed it up himself! It was nice to be able to interact with him while he kept putting the wiper blades on. Come to find out he is also a Marine so we thanked him for his service! The customer service that Joshua exemplified was outstanding. I hope his manager reads this and commends him for being so helpful, and personable and engaging in conversation with us. Ray the manager over at this O'Reilly was very disrespectful. Seems like he was in a hurry, didn't care of what I had to say and didn't put much effort into getting the parts I needed, he sold me THE WRONG COOLANT AND TRANSMISSION FLUID, I told him all the information I needed and he was not helpful at all, I always shop at this store but this one interaction with the manager of the store really put a bad taste in my mouth. At least he got me the right radiator for my car but I ended up going to Kaneohe O'Reilly which, even though they were slammed with customers, was very helpful and Jake was an awesome guy! read more

This is seriously the best auto parts store ever. Not only do they pretty much have everything, but the customer service is above and beyond. EVERY time I call, someone answers. Every single time. It's so reassuring. They answer with confidence, positivity, patience, calmness, and just above and beyond. Professional. They're also open pretty late, which is great if you need something last minute, because most of the time, they're open! So awesome. The store is always clean and put together too. They have warranties for pretty much everything, and the return policy is good and easy. They have high quality products. They also check your battery, starter, and alternator for free, on the spot. They have some employees who seriously go above and beyond. I needed a battery cover (the hooks) to be shorter, and one of the employees made it shorter for me. Everyone here simply loves to help you, and simply wants the best for you. They have no intention of ripping anyone off, all they want is for your car to be great and you to be happy. Every time I go here I instantly feel relaxed, because I trust the employees here. They are kind, patient, relaxing, and positive. All the employees treat the other employees here really well too, from what it seems. It seems like they all get along and have good relationships, which is a great look. Where to begin!!! Zachary you are a life saver!!! I came in stressed and left feeling like family! Not only did he come out and help me check my oil levels, He taught me how to check it in for future!!! He took me inside the store and helped me pick out every item I would need and he explained each item and when they were used for! He answered all my questions to the point where I felt Confident for the future.If these issues arise I would know how to fix it. He help clean my Imaginary terminal that had blue stuff all over it, he help me put in the oil and checked it two times after to make sure it was perfect!!! He helped me put in the coolant that was hardly there. Carl made me incredibly uncomfortable with his sexist remarks during my visit today. My boyfriend and I were called up to a register by Carl who promptly asked us how we were, my boyfriend answered "We're good, thank you" and I smiled behind my mask. Carl pointedly asked how I was and I answered very good, thank you--so far so good. My boyfriend asked to make certain a part he's purchasing is compatible with his car, and Carl pointed at /me/ and asked, "did she pick it out?". My boyfriend answered no, and Carl said, "oh, then it's probably right." I couldn't hold back. I'm not letting an older white male be allowed to go on not called out in 2020 about that kind of misogynistic humor--I laughed a little and said "oh yeah, that's right and sexist." Carl replies, "No, it's good that you came in to learn." Two sexist remarks one after the other. I suppose this man has it engrained in him to the extent where he doesn't realize he's being sexist, because he denied the first remark with /another/ sexist one. And so what? Is he implying women don't know what the h they're looking at in auto stores? That O'reilly's is a male store? I'm not happy. I should not be made to feel uncomfortable because I'm a woman. Not sure his remarks were sexist? Here's the sexist test: Would he say what he said to me to a guy? No. That's sexism. Maybe he profiled me to not become upset because my boyfriend and I have baby faces. Who knows. I hope management sees this and retrains him so he doesn't make another woman uncomfortable. I can't say enough about how incredibly helpful this place has been. Backstory: I am pregnant and my husband is deployed. I'm trying to keep up with two mopeds, a truck and a car (along with what seems like a million other things going on). So, of course, I get a big giant alert saying STOP on my VW. It said something about coolant being low as I was on my way into town for a doctors appointment. I was greeted by Manu, who had the biggest smile in Kailua! He's familiar with my car and was so happy to help. I know nothing about auto-motives... so I was really nervous it was something major! He brought me in, picked out the 50/50 blend (now I know stuff, no big deal), and even poured it in and showed me where to put in just in case it happens again. Also, I made it to my appointment on time!! He'll never know how this small act of kindness helped me and my day. I emailed my husband that he could relax and ignore the previous frantic email because I had handled the "crisis". Thank you, Manu and O'reillys. What was impressive was that even in the middle of my call Allen looked up pricing, mentioned that my part was on sale and if I wanted to become a rewards member. He did this with professionalism, patience, and kindness. So pleased! Not much of a car person and had a headlight go out. Was going to pay $120 to get it replaced, until a coworker said that was too much. Came here to test the stock battery on our Jeep and the helpful guy at the counter said he could test it in the back if we took it out and gave it to him and he handed us a basket of tools. Cool! Except we needed an extension for the socket to get to the bolts. So I asked Rosie if they had one and she says "no, but you can buy one." We were just about to drive to Napa when the guy that originally helped us called Manu in the back who used his personal tools to help us out on his break! On 9/29, Manu spent around 10-15 minutes (mostly on hold) on the phone with Waipahu location to ensure the specific cabin filter I needed was available (as their online system showed only one was available on entire island) and to have it held for pickup.
