The diagnoss was I needed a new hybrid battery... estimate $6,600 including a new 12 V battery. I didnt think it was prudent to spend that much on my 2007 car and researched options. They were more epensive at Toyota dealers and the diagnostic test were as well. Toyota no longer makes hybrid batteries for the 2007 Prius so they are refurbished with 1 or 2 year warranties..for ove 6K A very nice place that sells 12 V batteries for my car told me to contact Greentech Auto in Auburn. They explained that there were choices .. a refurbished with a 1 year warranty that was made to last for 2 years, a 2 year warranty refurbished hybrid that was made to last for 4 years and a 4 year warranty battery with new cells that was built to last for 8 years. The price for the 4 yer warranty was $2,700 and they would install a new 12 V battery as part of it with no labor charge if I provided the battery. I got one at Napa in Bellevue. They said it would take 2 weeks to make the battery with new cells. I had my car towed to Greentech in Auburn. The 4 year warranty battery was ready in 5 days and they called me that it was finished. They said I didn't need a new 12 V becaue once the new cell hybrid was installed it started and ran perfectly for days, so it was holding the charge. I don't drive on highways so they delivered my 2007 Prius to my house at no additional charge and gave me all the paperwork. They were knowledgeable and clear about keeping ny hybrid battery in good condition. With gas prices what they are I am thrilled to have my Prius in working order and not having to buy another vehicle under pressure. Greentech makes hybrid and electric batteries. They actually suggestd I get the less expense battery since I don't drive very much. The warranty on the hybrid with new cells is transferable to a new owner if I sell my car. BRAVO Greentech. Bravo to the battery place Pacific Battery in Kirkland that recommended I check out Greentech. Bravo to Tony's roadside assistance for coming so quickly to jump sta and my battery and being straight forward about suggesting I need to check out anytt other issues my car had. I whole heartedly recommend Greentech Auto in Auburn, and the other auto professionals who gave me excellent advice that did not line their pockets.

I put gloves on because the old battery was leaking acid. Got to the store carried the battery in and set it on the ground near the counter and walked to the battery rack to pick out a new battery. Within seconds an employee approaches me in the most rude and aggressive way and says "I saw you with a battery walking in what do you think your doing?" I replied to him that it was the core of my old battery I brought it because I get $22 towards the purchase of a new battery. He looks at me puzzled and says "oh ok boss, cool". I shook my head and continued to look for a battery. Seconds later another employee comes over and acts like he is arranging the batteries on the rack and we go through the routine again "what are you doing do you need help boss?" I said no I'm fine. This was overkill guys, as a black man this is too much am I really going to bring in a battery core and steal another battery? I mean I get theft prevention but I'm 57 years old! I did end up buying a battery and was called "boss" 5 or 6 mote times but this was a horrible experience especially since all my previous interactions here had been great. Next time I will drive the extra 3 blocks to Autozone. Train these horrible employees and maybe I consider coming back!

They may hire from the same pool of people. I had a similar experience as the first review. I'm standing in line waiting to pay for my products I chose. There was another guy who was being helped by another employee. There was two additional females working behind the counter. One of which I know is the store manager. The other female made eye contact with me just as the phone rang. She decided to answer that instead. The "Manager" seemed busy running around the store mumbling something to her self as she was led about. After standing there for a few minutes listening to her Babel on about pricing and what not. I decided to leave. This is the kind of treatment that looses customers for good.

March 25, 2020 around 4:50 PM. I went to Autozone on 23918 104th Ave SE, Kent, WA 98031. I have spent A LOT of money at this store in the past. Walked in and was greeted by William. He asked what he could help me find and I told him I was looking for a 13mm offset ratcheting dogbone and that I also intended to buy some electrical connectors. He directed me to aisle 2 and told me if they had the dogbone, it would be in the red section there. I went and looked. Saw some complete wrench sets and decided to look around to see if maybe I could find something else that would work for my project. Now here is where it gets weird.... As I am walking down the aisle, in a stern tone of voice William tells me "Sir, I can't have you wandering around the store!". I told him "I'm just looking to see if you have anything else that may work for what I need". He responds (again sternly, as if I were a child) "IF YOU DON'T SEE IT IN THE RED AREA, WE PROBABLY DON'T HAVE IT! HAVE YOU TRIED MCLENDONS? WE CAN'T HAVE PEOPLE WANDERING AROUND THE STORE!". I responded "Look! I am shopping and I intend to make a purchase here!". Again he tells me "IF YOU NEED SOMETHING WE HAVE TO PULL IT FOR YOU! YOU CAN'T WANDER AROUND THE STORE TOUCHING EVERYTHING! IF YOU COME IN AND DON'T KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT WE CAN'T HELP YOU!" (Bear in mind I have literally touched NOTHING in the store!) I thought a minute, got fed up, and told him "OK! I'll take my dollar elsewhere!". I went across the street to O'Reillys. When I walked in, I received a friendly greeting and proceeded to go about my business of looking for the tool I needed. I walked around the whole store and not a word was said. I ended up buying some shrink tube and connectors. I then went to McLendons. Again I walked in and was given a friendly greeting. Again I searched the store looking for my tool. Several employees helped direct me to the right area and none harassed me about "wandering around the store". I purchased my wrench, left, and went back to Autozone so I could get Williams name for this review, and explained to him that I was treated much better in the other two stores. I informed him that I would be writing this review. His response? "Dude, we can't have people wandering around the store!". As I have stated, I have spent A LOT of money at this store! I explained that to him, and the fact that because of my treatment I would never be back!! I only write reviews in two situations: Either the service was outstanding (which is so rare in this day and age that I feel it deserves special recognition), or the service was absolutely terrible as it was in this case! Folks, I get that we are in a trying time right now, but there is absolutely NO REASON TO TREAT ANY CUSTOMER LIKE THIS!! I was simply shopping, with an intent to buy what I needed at this Autozone. I was absolutely maintaining a 6 foot distance from others, and I certainly wasn't handling any merchandise! I was looking around, because anyone who has done a significant amount of mechanical work knows that sometimes projects require "outside the box thinking" and I was shopping for a solution. But Captain Corona acted like my mere presence was contaminating the entire store! Sadly, this probably won't do much good. Not many people read reviews before they go to the auto parts store. William and his colleagues will probably read it and have a good laugh. I am mainly writing it with the hope that Corporate or someone at a higher level than this stores manager sees it and perhaps wants to check on their business. If it helps you, the reader, avoid a bad experience then I am glad I got to help, because no one deserves the treatment I received at this store! Vote with your dollar folks! It's one of the only freedoms we have left! DO BETTER AUTOZONE! YOU'VE LOST A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE!! That may not matter much to you. I'm sure that another customer lost will make little difference in your bottom line. But in case you care, you have a real problem at this location!
