Have you ever walked into an auto parts store and immediately felt like you were the odd man out? You know what I mean, like you just opened a textbook on quantum physics and you have no idea what you're looking at? That's how I feel sometimes about walking into an auto parts store now granted, I would like to think that I know a little bit more about cars than your average Joe, but then again when it comes to some of the more technical stuff I don't really know anything. I needed some parts for my BMW, and I didn't want to spend a million dollars on original OEM stuff, and besides, all I really needed was some license plate bolts. Being that I had no idea on what the sizes were I Enlisted the help of this guy at the counter named Ryan. I have to tell you, he was so nice and understanding, and went way above and beyond the call of duty to actually go out to my car, and try several different sockets to see which one worked. He even came back in the store found the right part and went back outside and installed it for me. Now, I know most Auto Parts guys are helpful but, I did not expect him to go that far out of his way to make sure that this slightly European automotive-challenged person got the exact part they were looking for. The bottom line? I had such a positive experience at this O'Reilly Auto Parts, that I don't think I'll be buying my parts anywhere else. It's people like Ryan that restore my faith in humanity again. I don't usually do this unless something or in this case 'someone' does something that is truly worthy of it. I go to this store because quite frankly, its close to where I live. Tonight I just needed some oil and a filter but seemed to be having some cash flow issues. I was $3 short and at my wits end when Paul, the sales associate that was helping me and saw my frustration, offered to help me out with the money that I was short. I didn't know what to say...except THANK YOU! I went in for new wind shield wipers and I was frustrated to have two different kinds which did not fit. The third attempt the assistant manager, Jennifer, was very helpful in finding the right ones. When I left, I didn't realize the wind shield wipers were still not functioning correctly. So I went in for the fourth time. Once again Jennifer was able to help, she was so kind and patient. Really bad customer service they advertise price Match and they don't honor it. They also have a problem with young adults they don't want to help just because they are young . I send my son to go and rent a tool from them and they told him that they didn't have one to buy or rent so I went myself right after and they had it for rent and for sale!! Another time him and his friends went to drop used oil and they made them dump it themselves just because they are young and can treat them anyway they want. When I go they just tell me to leave it there. Today he went to get oil for his car and wouldn't match Walmart's price!!
