Wow! My car was acting up going down the highway at 9pm. I pulled into O'Reilly's. The employee (Ross) was so super nice. He tested my battery which was fine. I told him the electrical short happened when I hit a bump. He said it might be the plate inside the battery. He replaced the battery under warranty in 5 minutes, no charge, with a smile just to make sure I was safe on the road. The best customer service ever! read more

Came in to get a battery tested and the clerk said he would come out after servicing two people waiting in line. After assisting both customers in line, there was no more customers in the store, the clerk never came out. I went back into the store and the clerk was sitting in a chair towards the back of the parts in the warehouse, taking a personal call and looked right at me and ignored me. Bought a fuel pump and it only lasted 3 days, I went to return it and Kristin at 19 ave and Campbell in Phoenix Arizona gave me attitude, she said I had returned it before, I tried to explain it was the wrong part in the right box, GM her response was I don't want to hear it, over and over again I don't want to hear it, poor attitude, I never mentioned that I paid a mechanic for labor then paid for labor again cause I went to AutoZone instead, that's 2 labors not to mention paying for a tow truck, reason that I used Auto Zone instead, it could be a whole case of bad pumps so I went with a different brand. Again her attitude is always terrible, I'll never go back to O'Reilly's again because of her treating me with disrespect. read more

One person working who is outside putting wipers on someone's car. I wait, and wait. He comes in and says "Can I help the next person?" While looking down and as I'm standing right in front of him. How about a smile and "How can I help you today?" I need wipers. I tell him which model of car. He can't find them. He apparently doesn't know that a Raptor is an F-150. I help him with that. He tells me "22", aisle 5". I go and get them. Long line. I ask if I have to wait in that line again to pay. He nods. F THAT! How about walking with me the 20' distance to the wipers, carrying them to the register and ringing me up? Makes too much sense and would require training and management. I left, with torn blades. I'd rather scratch my windshield than give this business a penny. Off to Amazon to get my blades tomorrow. read more

So I was just in oreillys on hunts highway and Jimmy was helping me, great service. I heard this guy arguing with one of the employees about their customer service and how he wasn't happy. I've been going to this location for almost two years and have had noting but great customer service so idk what this guy was complaining about. He should try the autozone next door, they have lousy service. But I digress, I heard the employee tell him that you can't blame customer service when you get a bad part, it's not their fault. Which it isn't. The guy left with his new part I'm assuming. But was mad and the employee told him to have a nice day, even after the guy treated him like . And the guy cursed as he was waking out the door. Saying he wasn't coming back because of the bad service! The other employee ( didn't get his name because I was in a rush) he was tall with short blonde hair, handled the situation very well IMHO. read more

Pulled up to get my battery checked because I could tell it was probably ready to be swapped out. The guy asked me to pop my hood and lift it myself, then 'hooked up the tester' and proceeded to hover over the reader and said 'uhh your battery is probably okay and just drive around for a FEW HOURS and then if it's still weird then come back tomorrow and we'll change it for you' .... Meaning he either couldn't get a read or it was bad and didn't want to change it. I then went to the next closest O'reillys and ask them to check and what do you know, they couldn't get a reading on it so they helped me clean it off and then said that the battery was definitely ready to be replaced so I went ahead and had them do it which I was thankful for, but also frustrated that I knew the location on Indian School didn't get a reading and even if they had, weren't willing to install it for me or take the $200+ I spent at the other location plus the $20 i have to the guy who helped install it and let me watch how to. Please have a talk with your employees and I'd caution those that want this service that's advertised to make sure they aren't being lazy and then you away! read more

Always a great experience with O'Reillys. Came home Sunday from a short weekend getaway and noticed my truck was having some issues starting up. Since it's summer in PHX, figured the battery was nearly toast. Went into this store today and was helped by Omar, who was great. Found out my battery was still under its 3 year warranty, didn't have to pay a dime, and he also gave me some gloves to keep my hands clean while installing the new battery. Had a flat tire close to anytime fitness by this store, one of the workers told me to try fix a flat, went into the store the clerk Angel told me that probably won't work since my tire actually popped. Angel offered to come check out my tire and he moved my car out the way of the loading zone, I was afraid to do it, he went above and beyond in this 102 Phoenix heat, now that's what I call excellent customer service!! read more

I had to pop in for a new car battery this afternoon. Derez was incredibly helpful. First he looked up my previous battery purchase to research whether or not there was any remaining warranty. As it turns out, I had two months left on my warranty so the battery replacement was free of charge! Derez actually went out in the afternoon heat and changed the battery for me. I bought a new battery last February from this store. Recently my car died so I brought it to a repair shop and was told the battery needed replacement. Came to this store and the (unhelpful) gentleman ran and test with the battery still in the car and told me the battery was fine and that it was the alternator. No other options were offered. Took it back to the repair shop who said it was definitely the battery. Went to the o'reilley on 7th and Bethany home and Sue was much more helpful, actually took the battery out of the car to run a test and it came back as needing replacement 2 minutes later. I will not be coming to this store again but would highly recommend the one on 7th! read more

Okay so I'm a fair guy that usually try to give the benefit of the doubt. I came to this location to see about a check engine like. Was informed by the young man it was probably the gas cap but could be something else. Kewl no prob i bought the new gas cap and left. Next day the light was still on so I went back to see what else it could be. As I'm talking to an employee to check for any new suggestions, the manager comes out and starts going off! "First of all this! Second of all that "! Now keep in mind I was just asking a simple question. Here's a guy on a power trip lol A little bit of power in the wrong hands. I just laughed at him and left. Poor employee behind the counter looked at me and was so embarrassed. I asked is this guy always like this? He just nodded with embarrassment. This place is far and away much better compared to Auto Zone on Thomas. That place is horrid. The team members here were fast and efficient and I was in and out in a few minutes, granted I knew exactly what I was looking for. The rep had a little attitude but its the same at all automotive shops. I will only be going to O'Reilly's going forward and I just despise Auto Zone. By far the worst experience I've ever had and will be calling tomorrow to speak to someone about it. One of the customer service associates had no idea what he was doing, and said multiple times about multiple different things "I was so mad I was going to break it" - the other one knew what he was doing but wasn't helpful at all. I came to get the battery changed, first guy couldn't find the battery, walked back in and never came back out. I walked in 30 minutes later, realizing they forgot and told them I YouTubed where the motor was.... he then handed me a screw driver... okay, first time for that... let's do it. Took it out and realized I didn't even have all the parts to get it out, went back in and he came to help me. He took the battery in and I left the car for an hour. When I came back, he told me it was a dead battery and I bought a new one... he then handed me the battery and gave me the tools... first time for that... now I can replace my own and never deal with the worst customer service EVER. read more
