I stopped in to get a new set of windshield wiper blades but didn't know what size/kind I needed. Mike looked up my vehicle, showed me the various options they had in stock that would fit and make a recommendation. I want to share a cautionary experience for future customers. I parked in the lot, made a purchase, and told the employee at the register that I would be running to another nearby store and returning shortly (since the parking lot says it's for customers only). I was explicitly told that this was fine, and the interaction was friendly. When I returned about 30 minutes later, my car had been towed. I went back inside to ask whether the store had called it in, and multiple employees said no one had. However, they provided me with the towing company's contact information and said the car may have been taken anyway. I was later told that I had "never entered the store," which was confusing given that I had made a purchase and spoken with staff. At the towing business, they said they received a call from an employee. I contacted the parent company afterward, and they indicated they would address the situation. I literally have a receipt that I was a customer, and a notice from the towing company they called 8 minutes after I paid. I'm posting this so others are aware that even if permission is given verbally, parking here may still result in a tow. I recommend being extremely cautious or getting written confirmation before leaving the lot. read more

My engine wasn't starting immediately when I pushed the start button, so I came here to have them check my batter, alternator and starter for free. There was plenty of parking available. Sorry I didn't catch the name of the female employee who helped me, but she told me that my battery was good. I had purchased it a year ago and it was still under a 3-year warranty. Then she checked the alternator and starter, which on her system, they were good too. My only guess is that the starter switch relay needs to be replaced. I purchased the wipers and Robert installed them for me free of charge in under 5 minutes and just in time before it started to rain. Horrible employees and management complain about doing their job. Came for a quick check engine scan and worked complained about me coming late and it's hard for him. A while back had to return a core under my phone number and rewards and was hassled and treated badly by the assistant manager. I had very good service here recently, seeking help on the appropriate type of oil to put in Diane's car after she hadn't checked the oil level for several months. Two quarts were added to get the vehicle back to Las Vegas without an engine problem on the way, along with a jug of window washer fluid, since the reservoir was found to be bone dry. The building is clean and well lit, and most shelves are clearly marked and well stocked. The two staffers I encountered were both approachable and knowledgeable. A bit late posting, forgive me. However, I realized a little late that I needed windshield wipers, so I headed to Oreilly's in hopes of some saving and that is just what I got!!! Cam was fast in looking up my wipers. He then had no problem going out and replacing my faulty wipers. I had no clue how to do it myself and Cam told me he'd take care of it. My boyfriend's car wouldn't start one day when it was pouring down rain. After some fiddling, he finds out the battery is dead, so he took the battery out, put it in a plastic bag and walked a mile to this O'Reilly without an umbrella. By the time he got there, he was soaked to the bone and after he purchased the new battery, the very nice lady (whose name we wish we could remember!) that helped him offered to give him a ride back to his car! She delivered him right to his car, saving him walking through torrential rain a second time. After making sure he got his battery installed and the vehicle turned over, the lady said goodbye and left. What amazing service! But, when in a hurry, i go to this store, not the other local one. Last time I was here though it was annoying to hear this Millenial girl go on loudly (in front of customers), ad nauseum, about how this rotten customer treated her on the phone. I agree many people are rude, sneaky, narcissistic drones nowadays, lol, but it's probably better to keep the emotion at bay, in private, directed to the manager rather than in front of customers. I went to O'Reilly Auto Parts in Redlands, CA to buy a gallon of windshield wiper fluid. There were no other customers in the store--only me. There was one employee visible behind the counter, talking on the telephone. I stood and waited about five minutes, but he didn't acknowledge me in any way, not even with a look. Eventually another employee came out of the back room. He completely ignored me and went to a computer on the counter. I waited another minute or so, then I asked "is there anybody here who can sell me this stuff?" The second guy mumbled something I couldn't understand, but without even looking at me. I leaned in closer so I could hear him better, and said "what?". He said "I'll be with you in a few minutes." I set the jug of wiper fluid on the counter and said "never mind, I'll get it somewhere else," and I walked out. I went to Walmart and bought the fluid (for less money). This is no way to run a business. There should always be at least one employee whose dedicated function is to help in-store customers with purchases. At the very least, employees should make some kind of visual and verbal contact with customers so that customers don't feel like they're being ignored. read more

This business is the quintessential example of customer service. My friends battery was dead, we also live in Big Bear where auto parts are quite expensive. I called many locations for quotes and when I spoke to staff at O'Reilly's they informed me that they price match! They also gave me some additional information about the appropriate specifications to look for regarding a battery for snowy winter weather. After providing excellent customer service I called the lowest priced store and made sure their battery specifications were the same and they were. On Monday 4-25-16 I order an new alternator from this store. My question to victor on the phone was do I need to come and pay for this item. He responded with no, it will be here by 9am. I had a feeling in my stomach that I should go and pay for it but held back taking this manager at his word. My feeling was right and he failed to have my alternator in the store as promised. As I arrived to the store I noticed a note on the fro t door saying " CASH ONLY". I proceeded to the parts counter and asked for my alternator.
