I purchased a battery from Batteries Plus located on Eisenhower in Springfield. After installing…read morethe battery in my truck, I began to notice irregular performance. Despite using the battery regularly, it failed much sooner than expected. When the battery stopped working, I returned to the store to have it checked. The employee who assisted me, named Omar, tested the battery and found that it was only producing 6 volts. The battery was still under warranty period, but the store refused to honor it. Omar explained that according to their policy, the battery must still read 12 volts in order to qualify for a replacement. This reasoning did not make sense to me, because a failing battery by definition will not hold a full charge. It felt as though I had been sold a defective battery from the beginning, and the store chose to avoid responsibility by using a technicality. The employee's attitude was unfriendly, and the experience left me feeling disappointed and frustrated. I do not recommend this store to anyone. In my opinion, the staff does not honor their warranties and may look for loopholes to avoid helping customers.
