My favorite sushi place in Petaluma. Better than most and usually less expensive. A big variety of rolls and nice selection of sashimi. I usually go for the 49er roll, mango crunch roll, and Heavy Metal roll. Gohan across the street is good too but O! Sushi beats all others. read more

Ate at this place last night. I would give it a 3 1/2 to 4 rating. Walking in, the environment is very welcoming and friendly, tvs on the wall playing sports games. Staff was very friendly . We sat down and took a look at the menu. A lot of sushi rolls and a good selection for the bento box. I went with the bento box, which gave me 3 items to choose from, plus salad and soup all for $18, which is a great deal. Soup was good, not too overpowering with the miso, which a lot of restaurants can do. Salad, dressing was light to match the salad. I ordered the the bento box with the teriyaki salmon, Bugolgi, and some salmon sashimi. The bento box also came with some sides of edamame and some picked daikon and cucumber. The teriyaki salmon had good flavor from the teriyaki, rich, thick, glazed teriyaki sauce not too salty and a hint of sweet. The salmon a little overcooked and dry but the sauce evened it out to make it tasty to eat. The Bulgogi surprisingly was filled with flavor. Surprisingly good, tendorized, cut thin and marinated to perfection, to give you a delicious mouthful every bite. The downfall for me was the sashimi. Traditional sashimi is cut into thin slices. What I got, looked like left overs from the rolls or nigiri. Big, clunky, oddly shaped, pieces of fish. The quality of the fish, yet very flavorful, was very lean. Salmon is a fatty fish which gives it the melt in your mouth texture. Since this fish was cut into chunks and lean, it was not very silky. To end the night, after they cleared our plates, they did offer us some complementary fried oreos, which melts in your mouth as you took a bite. Great way to end the night. Overall a 3 1/2, borderline 4 star experience. Great restaurant with friendly staff. read more

This place is great! I ordered some sushi for lunch to go and got the lunch special A. Great deal! Very good quality sushi and a nice presentation. Also a good quantity of food for the price, the soup was a nice touch too. Took them about 10 minutes to prepare my lunch after I called and they were ready when I arrived. We plain and simple loved it! Great food, great service!! We were there last night with our daughter & her boyfriend. I was there a few times when they were on Lakeville, only for lunch. Last evening was perfect, the food was awesome, it was delivered to our table perfectly and it really hit the spot!! This place is horrible. The food was not good, it came out super fast and it was a sloppy mess. I had to send the ceviche roll back bc literally it came us a slop mess with the rolls on there sides. It was the worst I've seen. Also our waitress never came back to check on us, another lady came to check on us almost at the end of dinner, I told her I'm sending the ceviche roll back. She looked surprised. The other rolls we got were not good either but my husband still ate them. One roll was $19 Godzilla roll. Totally overpriced for the quality. Also they said my husband card was declined when it's the same account as mine although mine went through. I think something weird and wrong is going on at this place. We have been to Many sushi places and we are sushi lovers. This place is not even close. I will not return. read more

Wow! I went to O! sushi tonight for dinner and I was blown away. The portions are generous, you're getting the most for your money, everything tasted beyond fresh, service was amazing and they even have pictures of all the rolls to reference! I think I've found my new go to sushi joint. read more

I thought I had lost my favorite sushi place when I walked into Lakeville Gardens and everything had changed. I did a little research and found that my favorite people had moved to O Sushi.....well I was Ohhhh so happy! Love this place and the people. Consistent delicious sushi and other items from the non sushi list. Honestly I have never had a bad meal here or before, so glad to see they continued with the wonderful level of taste, freshness and just all around nice people to dine with. Ohhhhh how I suggest O Sushi for your next sushi craving. Try the tempura, Ohhh off the charts and the spicy California roll with spicy mayo and tobiko..well I think I am going to run over there right now !!! PS - Dont forget your deep fried Oreo when they ask if you want dessert and did I mention its INCLUDED with your meal?? Who does that anymore....included dessert with your meal. Love it !! read more

My girlfriend ordered the bento box combination with Tempura, Bugolgi and teriyaki salmon. All that food for $18, what a deal! Did I mention the toss green salad and miso soup that comes with the Bento box? Deals! I ordered the Poke salad, which delicious and huge! This is one of my favorite sushi places in Petaluma! It's my go-to whenever I want to stay in my house-clothes all day, and call in an order to-go. The staff is always so friendly, and I have never had a mistake on my order (however complicated I may make it.) The fish is always so fresh! I always get nigiri and a maki roll. 2nd time I have eaten here and both times were great!! Once in house and once to go. Tonight we had the triple tuna spicy roll and the Oishi and they were completely different and both awesome. Oishi was fried tempura asparagus and shrimp inside and smoked Salmon and avocado on outside. It was fresh light and smoky. The triple tuna was actually spicy- like enough to not add wasabi to it! Minced up spicy tuna inside and topped with albacore and escarole.. it was Delish! For appetizer we had the shumai which is the shrimp dumpling that was pretty good we also had the karaange- fried chicken as an app. I was not too crazy about the Chicken. Just tried O for the first time. I'm usually a Gohan gal, but they were closed and I've been pretty disappointed in the quality the last few times I've been there. And the verdict is ... Not bad! I got the Chirashi bowl: nice presentation, good size and assortment of tasty, fresh fish, plus the bonito flakes on the perfectly cooked rice was a nice surprise. This is the new and improved "Lakeville Garden" sushi. I love this place, they know me well as I come twice a week in some cases and sometimes I've even come twice in the same day!! I live quite a ways away and drive up to them because it's literally the freshest best sushi around! Now.. One star off because 1. Prices went up (which I expected but didn't expect everything on the menu to take such a hike up) 2. The new chefs are not nearly as good as the other ones. Rolls aren't as tight, too too much rice and skimping on my fish. Charge me more, fine, but make it the same. Don't skimp on me!! read more

We were sad to see the Vietnamese restaurant that was in this location go away, but we're thrilled with the new Sushi option in it's place. The nigiri is wonderful, pinky sized rice and big slabs of wonderfully fresh fish. My wife only wants O! Sushi now and I agree. The food quality and atmosphere is great and the price is very reasonable. The only reason they lost a star is because we were so stoked they were open for lunch on Sunday, but alas now they aren't.
