But as soon as you leave the parking garage the elevated view down the Hudson gives a spectacular angle of everything from the Bronx to downtown and across the river to Jersey city and beyond to the Verrazano bridge. Wow. Inside it's modern and well appointed with great table top grills and ventilation. Everywhere you look you see high def screens pumping K-pop videos which I happen to love for their energy and happy vibe. The staff is highly attentive, friendly and prompt to bring all the meats and things you care to order. The food is no doubt the best Korean bbq I've had, even saying this after many a visit to K-town in Manhattan. This is better. Perfect really. My favorite is the pork belly. Another typical kbbq in the area. It's pretty pricey at $38/PP ayce for dinner and the service was really bad when I went. They took forever to come to take our order and we had to consistently follow up when we wanted a new meat order. And after we ordered a couple meats, the grill was burnt and charred from the sauce from the meats and they never changed it. When we asked for another meat, they grilled the meat on the burnt grill and the meat tasted completely burnt. So, I had to ask them to change the grill before they even did it. On top of that, the pork belly meat had soooo much fat on it. Honestly, for this area and bc there's so many ayce kbbq places, at this price point I wouldn't recommend this place. I have been here twice and both times i had an amazing eating experience. This time around i called for a reservation for 6 people. As soon as we got to the restaurant we got seated right away. My friends and I picked from so many different options of meats with vegetables. It was so much fun trying the meats with the different sauces they provide. My favorite one was the soy sauce. Complicated parking situation in a lot and the bbq joint is located in a "mall" that also has a ton of apartments. You essentially have to walk through a garage and through multiple stairways to get to the joint. It's usually not as crowded as other ayce locations such as cast iron (probably due to its location). There are a lot of meats to choose from and all the other fixings such as soups, rice cakes, and veggies. Meat quality is really good and the service is pretty fast, I wouldn't say the staff is overly friendly but they get you what you ask for in a pretty quick manner. For the price point and complicated location, I would rather wait a little longer for places like Cast Iron. Not very accessible. read more

We didn't realize o2 bbq existed and so close to where we live! So we wound up heading there for an early dinner. It was pretty slow when we sat down but within a hour the place got really busy and this was around 4pm on a Saturday, so plan accordingly. The service was very good. They don't cook the food for you currently because of Covid but we prefer to do it ourselves anyways. They definitely use higher quality meats than most other all you can eat kbbq spots in the area. This is without the doubt the best kbbq around. Pricing is very fair and reasonable as well. The brisket was very good with great marbling. The spicy chicken was delicious and so were the steak choices. They had a great steamed egg as well, extremely fluffy. I was a big fan of their kimchi too and I usually steer clear of it. All and all their quality, service, and overall food were all great. They also pay for your first hour in the parking garage which is great. This Korean BBQ is legit. First off, the cooking pan, it is meant to share and eat a lot off of. The other locations I have been to, they give you small skimpy cooking space so that you eat a little and get full quicker. This place has huge round pan that get hots quick and lots of room so a lot of meat can go on it. The food selection is fantastic; probably the best galbi I have had in the east coast. The other meat selections are all great too. There is a cut call pork jowl that is a must have... It is so good. The side dishes are all good too; atmosphere is hip and young and enough music in the background to kill the neighbors sound but still can listen to your own party. Recently went to O2 to celebrate a family members birthday. We had made a reservation and had a brief wait while they set up the table. When we were seated there was some bon chon at the table--some radish, kimchi, and bean sprouts. There was also a variety of dipping sauces for the meats. The menus is available by a QR code which was located right on back of our bench seat. Their AYCE menu definitely did not disappoint. They had a variety of meats from beef, pork, and chicken and as well there were spicy meats as well. There was also a good variety of side items to order like vegetables, rice, rice cakes, salad, lettuce, soups, steamed egg, and dumplings. Everything sounded delicious--but resist the temptation to order everything. There is a surcharge for anything that is not finished. We started with the beef brisket, tender steak, spicy chicken, and galbi. And we had as well ordered some soups, vegetables, steamed egg, white rice, and fried rice cake. Everything was served fairly quickly and began cooking some of the meats. My favorite was the brisket! It cooked fairly quickly and was so tender! Overall it was a great experience. Wish we found this AYCE gem earlier. The quality of meats is so good and for the price you can't go wrong. They do have signs everywhere explaining it is all you can eat and due to COVID, you are responsible for cooking. Not quite sure why so many people get confused on this. There are literally signs everywhere on every table and on the page where the QR code is. They were attentive and kept our sauces full at all times. We tried a bit of everything and also a few sides including the eggs, duMplings, rice and rice sticks. We will definitely be back here and this is def our new spot. Want to come and eat in a Korean BBQ with a lot of friends? This place is not it. They charge 37$ per person for all you can eat. But there is a time limit of 100 minutes from the moment you sit there and there's a 3 item per table limit so you cant order more food while you're cooking what you have. It takes some time to heat up the grill and cook the food so in the end its a lot less than 100 min to eat as much as you want, specially if there's 4-6 people The other problem is, they randomly come and change your grill which is fine but that adds onto the 100 minutes and it wastes even more time. They also add tips from the 37 dollars, so in the end its 52$ per person for food with time limit that you won't be filled with. I've been to kBBQ spots in NYC and Flushing so I'll preface it with this: the spots I've been to normally grill it for you and move it off the grill when it's cooked... and normally order a la carte. Here, it wasn't so clear? The server didn't bother explaining the menu or how it worked. Eventually realized it's all you can eat, and that they recommend ordering 2-3 meats at a time to try what you want (and to rightfully avoid waste). Still not sure if we cook our own meat or if they do it for you cause it was a combo and a bit overwhelming - my biggest fear is eating raw chicken so leaving a big chunk without cooking directions (but also without coming back every few minutes to check on it) left me very confused Otherwise, the meats were delicious and I highly recommend the spicy chicken, pork bulgogi and marinated steaks. I went to O2 BBQ for dinner. Because it is an "all you can eat" style restaurant, I tried a bunch of the different Korean meats that they offered. The Kalbi Marinated Steak was definitely my favorite, as it was super tender and the marinade gave the steak a yummy and juicy flavor. The Beef Bulgogi and Thin Beef Brisket were also good. The Pork Belly was alright. The fact that the food is cooked on a hot surface right in front of you at the table makes for an exciting and interesting dining experience. For $27, the dinner is worth it if you are able to eat a lot. The service was great. The speed is super quick since the food is cooked at the table. The staff members are very friendly, attentive, and helpful. I was a bit bothered by the fact that the restaurant was blasting K-pop music and showing the respective music videos on about 30 TVs around the restaurant. I guess they figured it would add to the Korean vibe, but it made talking a little more difficult and was a bit distracting. Ah finally get to check this place off my bucket list. If it weren't for the long drive, I'd be coming here WAY more often. The aesthetics of this place alone are great and provide such a fun atmosphere for eating endless amounts of bbq and banchan. Okay, so I wasn't able to try their entire menu (I am a small girl with a small stomach), so I ordered my usuals: brisket, porkbelly, topblade steak. UGH WOW the cuts of meat were so good, such a nice marbling on the brisket, and the porkbelly wasn't paper thin, but not too thicc either, the perfect size in my opinion! The top blade steak was good too, but not noteworthy. They give you sesame oil, salt+pepper, some type of ssamjjang/doenjang, and another sauce I wasn't sure of. You grill yourself but the staff is always around to help (I like grilling by myself anyway so I didn't mind at all). We also ordered the steamed egg, which is our favorite side to order. Gave this place a shot after biking on the Weehawken Waterfront Park & Recreation Center, definitely worth a stop. Parking is a little troublesome, but the restaurant will validate your ticket if you park in the garage so it doesn't cost anything. Hanger steak and top blade steak were our favorite picks. Also the service here is top notch, I mean most KBBQ places they're attentive, but this place is something else, they're really on top of the grill which is great. Let me tell you guys what we got. 1) Porkbelly: delicious, but wish they seasoned with salt and pepper and scored the meat a bit better 2) Thinly sliced beef brisket: stunning! 3) Kalbi marinated steak: great cut of steak, definitely has sweetness to it through the marinade. This place is phenomenal!! It is located within the Galaxy Towers area and is definitely one of the best KBBQ in North Jersey. Everything about this place from the service all the way to the meats were top notch. For starters, safety and covid-19 precautions are handled super well and professionally here. Your temperature is taken and you are asked to put on hand sanitizer before you even enter the seating area. The tables are separated to ensure social distancing and masks are required at all times except for when you are at your table eating. The staff was incredibly kind! I was with my friends and since this was their first time ever coming to a place like this, they had a few questions about the menu and how the ordering style works to which the staff was more than happy to answer. After The menu items and the ordering style was explained, we all felt comfortable ordering what we wanted. The menu has quite a few options, which in my opinion, was good because they have a variety of meats to choose from for just about anybody. My friends both ordered the pork steak, and I ordered the beef bulgogi. As for sides, they have also have a few options, but we all chose to go with white rice. The sauces, veggies and water were all complimentary. As with these style restaurants, you cook and prepare your meat to the temp/rarity you want it to be at. So the way it cooks is essentially completely under your own discretion and control. With that being said, the food was awesome. Jennifer was such an amazing waiter, so friendly and personable. We shared a lot of laughs. Gyozaa dumplings were great, pork ones. I loved this place! The restaurant is very clean and spacious. The staff is very friendly and super helpful. The food was tasty and fresh. It's all you can eat so feel free to repeat items you love. My favorite was the pork belly. I really like that one of the sides is gyoza, the pork ones were so good, I definitely recommend those. Came in on a Monday evening with a group of 4 and our table was able to be seated immediately. I was impressed with how attentive our servers were although they note in the menu that they will not be able to cook for us. There was never an empty plate that sat on our table for long and we never waited long to order another round of meat. We started with Spicy Rice Cakes and a So-Mak-Sa Tower (Peach Soju + Original Makgeolli, + Sprite). Both amazing. If you look at the picture attached to this post, I've never seen Spicy Fried Rice Cakes served this way before, but I'm a fan. You can taste the flavor of the sauce better in small bits when drizzled versus when the rice cakes are coated evenly beforehand. The So-Mak-Sa Tower sold me and may be the main reason I come here over other kbbq places. For meat, we ordered the Brisket, Pork Belly, Hanging Tender Steak, Kalbi Marinated Steak, and Bulgogi. Good quality meat and the brisket is still my favorite. Looking back at my previous review, I'm happy I came back to give O2 another try. Tucked into a residential community on the very busy Boulevard East, O2 BBQ is a perfect spot for lunch or dinner. The restaurant looks huge, as you you enter there are about 6 tables for non-bbq and as you proceed further you can see the big bbq area, complete with 16 TVs blasting Kpop music for 10 tables(??). Our servers were courteous and knew when to turn the meat without charring it too much. First came the salad, with the platter of sauces, onions in sauce, lettuce. We also ordered rice and steamed egg(SO good, perfect taste!) and spicy rice cake. For bbq first veggies were roasted and they were so yum(esp sweet potato). For meat, we started with Spicy pork belly(marinated), pork jowl, beef thin brisket, pork bulgogi. We also got soju because what's Korean bbq without that, am I right! Our total came to $32.86 per person and that's because of the soju bottle($7.95). Food was great, ambience was Kpop songs which was interesting, service was excellent. I called the place multiples and she just kept saying go to ferry road but on the maps it looked we were already in ferry road but we werent in reality. Since we dont live in the area we were so confused. I just wish they stated it on their site where the different entrances are for the garage parking. AYCE Korean BBQ can be a big hit or miss and O2 thankfully does it well. It's a little more expensive compared to other places in the area, clocking in at $35 for a single dinner set option. First off, I love the grill, which is a massive iron dome that makes it easy to cook meat at the top and cook vegetables at the bottom where the oil trickles down. The meat winners of the night were the pork belly, which was thick and not mostly fat like some bbq places, and the pork jowl, which was buttery and tender. They have a wide assortment of side dishes in the set menu and my favorite was the "spicy fried rice cake" which you must, must cook on the cast iron grill for that extra crisp and char. The downsides: the milkis cocktail, which is a blend of soju and a carbonated Korean soft drink, was very watery. It was a busy night, but more attentive service would've been appreciated. The bottom of our grill was burnt halfway through and while most places swap it out proactively, we had to call over our waiter to change it out. Some places also cook and cut the meat for you, but the waiters at O2 didn't. Overall a fun place to get drinks and Korean bbq with friends. Living in West New York for thirty years Korean owned restaurants were very few and far between, honestly you'd have to go as far as Fort Lee or Palisades Park to try some delicious dishes. Every meat we ordered was either dry or extremely salty, and all were barely edible. The servers were extremely cold and didn't do basic things like come ask us what we wanted to order or tell us which meat was which. We had to flag them down, which was hard since they avoided looking at us. They overcooked everything, which made the food even worse. For ambiance, we got to see and hear one of the workers smacking flies with a zapper racket throughout our meal. So appetizing I'm really disappointed since I recommended this restaurant and brought my family just to show them this awful experience. Bad food and worse service for premium prices. I'm a huge fan of O2's other location in Bayside, Queens. The NJ location is equally excellent. Like the Queens location, the meat quality is top notch, far better than anyone can usually expect from AYCE places. The best items for us were the pork belly, tender kalbi steak, spicy pork rib and spicy pork bulgogi. I do feel like there is a smaller variety of choices in meat here (I think there was squid and other seafood options at the Queens location but its not a big deal). You certainly will get your moneys worth here. The service here is remarkably good. We came during a peak time on a holiday and the staff was just flying all over but somehow covering every table without a hitch. On top of that, they were insanely friendly and welcoming despite being overrun constantly by all the patrons. Really they set a standard for service. Strangely enough my only gripe with this place is the location. The restaurant is located within a condo building with a mall attached to it. The mall clearly was built in the glory days of the 80's and it really shows its age. My kids remarked that it was a perfect setting for a B movie slasher film. The parking situation is also a bit annoying. Street parking, which would be the most convenient is understandably tight in a residential area. The garage is located in the condo but you need to make your way through the Byzantine mall (which is half vacant) to the garage which has very poor directions to show you the way to the exit or entrance to the mall. Good news is that the restaurant will validate the parking so it's free. Definitely a great experience for dining and if you're into throwback walking tours from the 80's its worth a visit. read more

Great All you can Eat BBQ restaurant!! We were seated right away when we walked into the restaurant. Watch out for the front door when it is super windy. The door hit my ass haha The tables were separated at a good distance from each other. Our order was taken right away and the meat came out really fast. Everything tasted great. I just wish that they replaced our grill at least once. By the end our brisket tasted burnt. Not the good burnt taste The sides were good. I would have to say get the steamed egg. Tasted great! This is my first time trying Korean bbq in New Jersey and I was pleasantly surprised. The outside of the restaurant looks dark, dim and not inviting. When I first arrived with my party, it looked as though they had so many seats/ tables that were vacant. When we entered into the restaurant you realize that the size of the restaurant is a complete illusion from the outside. The whole area is Huge and extends way into the back. In addition, it was incredibly busy and packed with people. For someone who is not a huge meat eater, I really did enjoy the experience and the taste of the food. We were a party of 6 and did 2 rounds of 6 different types of meat. Our bill came out to about $80 for every 2 people. The price is definitely worth it for a large group. If I had just made the trip with my husband, I definitely wouldn't have eaten my money's worth. My husband wouldn't also be able to compensate & eat $80 of food at once. The service was great. The waiters were attentive to our needs and were able to get everything that we needed upon request. The flavors of the food were delicious. In front of everyone's plate was an array of condiments that really complimented the meats. I walked away feeling very satisfied with my meal. Would definitely recommend for an experience!
