    Build your own bibimbap
    Stephen L.

Great option for tasty and affordable bibimbap bowls for takeout! I did the "build your own bibimbap" option - there was a lot of customization available and all ingredients were delicious, especially the bulgogi which was really flavorful and tender. I also really liked the purple rice, edamame, and onion crisps. The serving size was pretty big and only $15, so it was pretty good value. This is mainly just a takeout spot, as the shop itself is quite small. The takeout was right on time after we ordered online. There is a parking lot across the street, which makes it a convenient location. Overall, Dalgoona Bowl comes up just shy of 5 stars since it wasn't quite special/unique enough, but it is very deserving of a strong 4 star review from me.

Fried chicken (half original/half soy garlic) - tasted very fresh and juicy. The exterior is a bit different than the normal Korean fried chicken places. But the inside was a little pink, I didn't feel good later... Bao buns - good portion for the price. We got the katsu. It was good. Raging bulgogi bowl - the fried onions should be included separately so it doesn't get steamed in the bowl. We opted for purple rice and it was very soggy/soft. We barely salvaged by stir frying the heck out of it the following day. I didn't like the overall bowl as much, definitely won't get it again even with improved rice texture. We had ordered in person and there was one person working. It took about 20 minutes. I recommend ordering ahead, where you can also see what's available. Will considering returning again.

    Tendon Bowl & Fried Chicken

This was my second attempt at ordering because the first time they were not offering the Tendon Bowl that day. Ironically when I called the second time, I wanted to order the Fat Pork Belly Bowl and that one wasn't available... so I asked about the Tendon Bowl and it was indeed good to go. (TLDR: Make sure to call ahead to see if specific menu items are available that day.) Pleased to report, however, that the Tendon didn't disappoint! Probably could've benefited from a quicker transit time so that it doesn't cool down so much, but it's takeout only for the time being. We also ordered a blooming bibimbap (not pictured) and fried chicken, which was pretty bready compared to other Korean fried chicken. But the real winner was the bonus soup which was a nice surprise and not mentioned in the menu. Just what we needed to go along with the meal. All in all, I give them closer to a 4.5 for a well-rounded good meal.

Blooming Bibimbap, Bombing Curry Katsu Bowl, and Fried Chicken (Soy Garlic)

Not bad! This place came up out of nowhere when I was looking for a quick delivery dinner, and I'm glad I gave them a try. Fried chicken wings (Soy garlic for $1 extra) was crispy, chewy, and full of flavor out of the box. My katsu curry bowl was surprisingly good for a delivery. Katsu was crispy on the outside and full of flavor. Best of all, it wasn't dry! The curry had this real delicious umami flavor with hidden strands of juicy onion to add just a bit of wetness to the meal. It was perfect. Blooming (Vegetable) bibimbap was pretty good, with well-prepared veggies and a side of soup, though in comparison to katsu curry it was nothing to write home about. Being a newcomer, they gave two cans of soda which was a nice touch as well. We were stuffed and had some leftover for the next day. One word of caution - because they use cardboard bowl for takeout, do transfer the leftover rice into a sealed container because otherwise the paper will suck the moisture out of the rice and make it a dry block, significantly reducing the quality of the leftover. (I had to do a leftover CPR to bring it to decent state again) Give Dalgoona Bowl a try for your next rice bowl takeout! I'll definitely be trying their Raging bulgogi and spicy pork bowl (name escapes me) next!

Food was amazing! The lady at the front took the time to suggest things that my friends and I would like!

I ordered lunch from Dalgoona Bowl today and it was delicious! I ordered the bao buns with pork belly and the truffle spam rice. I was surprised at how large the portions were and I enjoyed every single bite. The bao buns had very generous pieces of pork belly and the sauce/scallions/slaw like mixture was very tasty. The truffle spam rice was sweet and savory; I could see myself getting addicted to this dish. I'm going to try the make your own bibimbop next. The gentleman who works there was very nice as well. Definitely recommend!

    Kimbap

called in for this kimbap despite it not being on the menu because i saw a google review photo from a year ago that had it, but they kindly made it for me. it was some of the freshest kimbap i've ever tasted in a while! highly recommend this no frills korean place for a quick and yummy bite. next time i'll definitely try something on the menu!

Came Sunday morning/afternoon. Staff was very patient with us since my mom kept going back and forth on what she wanted. Bao buns were really good, meaty and enough sauce. Both fries were amazing! I'll order their bibimbap next time as they look really good. Also had them Galbi which I forgot to take a pic of since we devoured it so fast! Overall, amazing food and great staff!

This place is great and a welcome addition to the neighborhood! Called in my order and the guy who answered was both friendly & helpful. Also super nice when I arrived for my pick up. Ordered the bao (yummy) which comes in three. We had the pork belly and would like to try one of the other options next time. The curry katsu with purple rice was good. The curry was similar to what I'd consider a gravy with a creamy texture good for dipping your katsu. Also has the kimchee fried rice, also with purple rice and I'd definitely get that again. There where these little crunchy bits on top next to the scrambled eggs. Mix it all together and you get wonderful bite of fried rice, egg and crunchy bits.

A MUST try!! I love Asian fusion, and Dalgoona Bowl really knocked it out of the park. We ordered the bao buns, fried chicken, don katsu, and egg kimchi fried rice. I ordered a bunch of different things to share with a group of people which was definitely the move--I got to try a little bit of everything! Everything was great, but the bao buns were the crowd favorite. The buns could barely hold the fillings because it was so stuffed, and they were super flavorful. They're meant to be appetizers, but even eating 2-3 can be quite filling. When you give this place a go, try and share with a group of people because each dish is truly unique.

I spotted Dalgoona while driving by and noticed it is a new spot so decided to check it out same day! The staff was super friendly and helpful. They gave us a free drink with our order which was super nice too. I built my own bibimbap (spicy pork, corn, mushrooms, bean sprout, among other things!) and my hubby ordered the Dalgoona Ramyun. The food was absolutely delicious and fresh. The Ramyun was spicier than expected for my hubby but he loved every last bit of it :) Also, one plus is that they use mostly compostable packaging. In terms of COVID-specific measures, everyone is wearing masks and they offer hand sanitizer. The counter is separated with glass so that's nice. There are a couple of seats inside and a few tables outside.

I came to this spot yesterday with my friends and we ordered the Blazing Fire, fried chicken, and the Booming Curry Katsu. I really enjoyed the blazing fire, as it wasn't too spicy. The egg and avocado went extremely well with the marinated pork, creating almost a creamy texture. The fried chicken was extremely crispy and excellent. The curry was sweet and went well with the katsu, which was both crispy on the outside and extremely tender on the inside. Plus, they gave us some soup to have with the rice bowls, which accompanied the meal in a soothing manner. Overall, i really enjoyed the experience, and really loved the interior (very well lit up, bright ambience). Everyone was wearing masks and takeout was prepared in around ~15 minutes. Would definitely come again!

My friend and I heard about this place and came by to try it out! We both got a curry katsu dish and loved it - the curry is not too spicy while being rich and creamy. Katsu was also nice and crispy! They're currently running a promo for a free drink if you get a "bowl" dish until Jan 7, so definitely come try this place out. They have both indoor and outdoor seating with sanitizer available, and are available on delivery apps. Will definitely be coming back next time I'm in the area!

The rice was served in a hot stone bowl with bits of quinoa mixed in, which I really enjoyed. We also got the cheese spicy chicken. I would say that this was a bit more on the sweeter taste profile, but I enjoyed every bite! The banchan they provided was bean sprouts, fish cakes, kimchi, and cucumber. Each dish was tasty, but the fish cakes were my absolute favorite! They also do free banchan refills, so that was much appreciated. From the moment we walked in, the place made a great impression. The restaurant is clean, nicely decorated, and has a good music selection that adds to the overall vibe. There's a bar area in the front and a main dining room in the back, which gives the space a nice balance. Overall Ratings Atmosphere - 5/5 Service - 5/5 Food - 5/5 Parking - Private/Street Parking Atmosphere - The space is well designed and very clean. The combination of decor, lighting, and music creates an enjoyable dining environment. Having both a bar area and a main dining space makes it feel more spacious and well thought out. Service - The staff here really stood out. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and very accommodating. We ended up chatting with our waiter quite a bit, and he was extremely personable. He even took a song request from me and had it played, which was a really nice and unexpected touch that made the experience feel more personal. What We Ordered - The menu covers all the classic Korean BBQ staples you'd expect, along with some less traditional options like intestines and both spicy and non spicy chorizo, which made the experience more interesting. What really sets this place apart is their use of traditional cast iron pots instead of grills, which was a big deciding factor for us and gave the food a more authentic feel. A quick tip: ask for smaller portions when ordering. The servings are very generous. We switched to smaller portions after our first round so we could try more of the menu, especially since we don't visit the area often. Standout dishes for us were the Beef bulgogi, Beef brisket, Berkshire steak, Pork jowl, and the Braised crab meat soup. Everything was flavorful and well prepared, and these are definitely must order items in our opinion. Final Thoughts - For the price, this was a fantastic dining experience. Great food, generous portions, and genuinely friendly service made it well worth the visit. I would definitely come back again if we're in the area.
