My girlfriend woke me up from an afternoon nap telling me she was on the verge of getting hangry. Fearing the wrath of my significant other, I quickly planned to get some Chinese BBQ. It's street parking and there are some spaces right in front of the restaurant, but I could see it getting difficult. We went around 4:00PM so the place wasn't too packed and we were seated quickly. My girlfriend and I exclusively ordered skewers and they were great. I think the lamb might have been my favorite. The satisfaction of biting into a perfectly grilled lamb skewer is such a great feeling. It's fatty, it's salty, and it's got a unique flavor that I enjoy from time to time. There's a wide variety of meats offered, even some exotic ones like gizzard, kidney, and even penis! Cooking the skewers over the charcoal is a fun experience. Our grill got pretty crowded given how much my girlfriend and I ordered so the staff offered to grill some of our skewers at an open table. That was really nice of them. There's a time limit of 2 hours which is plenty of time to stuff your face with skewers. The food is good. Service is friendly. I really enjoyed my meal at Yangji and would love to come back. It is a little pricey though, but I recommend it.

First time trying this Chinese bbq and it's good! I really like the dipping salt, it makes all the skewers taste better. I saw on social media that similar places has the grill with rolling thing so it can flip the meat and cook evenly, but this place doesn't have that. The stir fry noodle is pretty bland. Definitely reserve because the place is quite small

Stopped by to see how good this place is compared to Xiao Chuan Dian few doors down, and the verdict is: MIXED Atmosphere - It's a small place and it's not as nice as XCD, but you might have more luck finding seating. Stripped down with several tables - we were seated towards the back where it was near door to the kitchen where they were cutting stuff up, so I'd say not the nicest vibe Food - I came to test one specifish dish, the Korean Cold Noodle (naengmyun), which they did have. Unfortunately it was not even half as good. Broth just wasn't as tasty and overall I was disappointed. When it came to their skewers, I liked their squid and lamb was decent, but again, could not compare to the other place. Service - Service was good, perhaps better since it's such a small place. Lady checked on us and we did not have to wait too long for anything. Overall, I think this place is a compelling option for good chinese skewers but just lower your expectations a bit, so give it a try (and you might disagree and love it!) As for me, I have to have the cold noodles and I'll be going to the other place.

Came here for dinner. We were a group of 6 ppl. We ordered lots of skewers: lamb, beef, chicken gizzard, intestines, etc. They were all well seasoned and delicious. The place might be smaller than the other one nearby. But this place might pack a punch. The service is more attentive, and respond quicker. This place uses really hot coal and they sizzle in high heat in front of you, even tho there is no device that automatically turns the skewers for you. I feel the portions in here a larger than the other place. Will definitely come back again in the future : )

We drive past this little marked dive restaurant all the time. I finally discovered it through yelp and decided to stop in daytime and hope there was a table open. We loved the way the items are on skewers and the charcoal taste on the meat. I didn't experience the smokiness in the restaurant as others mentioned. Prices are a bit above average, but worth it. Will return. Fun experience.

You should definitely make a reservation if you are trying to eat here. I attempted to get a table here multiple weeknights, but was turned away 3 times before I finally caved and made a reservation for dinner. The staff doesn't speak English well, but they do have an English menu. Yangji BBQ specializes in Chinese BBQ skewers, where skewers of meat are cooked over a charcoal grill built into the table. We ordered a large variety of skewers, along with soup, noodles, and fried rice. The meats are unseasoned, but you do get a few containers of a variety of spices on the table. You gotta be careful not to overcook the meats. Some of them ended up a little tough because we left them over the coals too long. My favorite were the lamb skewers. It's a fun experience, averaging out to about $2 per skewer

It's a small place but the food is on point. Didn't get to take picture of other two items we ordered but the lamb skewers which they were known for were on point. Some states don't allow you to cook the skewers inside the restaurant luckily in NJ they allow it which makes this experience more genuine. Only complaint I got is Tsingtao which I've ordered and is a must pairing with the lamb skewers wasn't cold on this hot muggy day. I'd definitely return and eat again food was fire. Service is quick since it's a small restaurant parking can be a little bit of issue.

Acceptably quality on bbq and some dry pot. Could be better on bbq experience by having oil spray for some veg

Ooooh, it's been awhile since my last review…read more After 4 years, I still love Wooga but those "$$$$" on the their Yelp page keeps me from eating here more often. This time around, it's a stronger 5 out of 5 because of our waiter was amazing. Ugh, I can't remember his name. He was on top of everything and making sure our food was grilled in a timely manner. He was quick to follow up with orders/requests that didn't come through when the kitchen didn't bring them out. Usually my gripe or disclaimer I give to people is that Wooga is great at everything except wrapping up things on the end. In the past, whenever I went, it would take forever (!!!!!) to get our check and pay. It was so frustrating but this time around, it was a bit faster. It's a win-win situation because we get to pay and leave and the restaurant has another table for customers. Though on the pricier side, Wooga does check off all the boxes of: -amazing meat quality -amazing & attentive service -they don't skimp on banchans (side dishes that I heard other restaurants are starting to limit) -several meat combo options -best Korean steamed egg in the North Jersey area We tried the thinly sliced oxtails, which were really good but pretty pricey for $38cash/$39.90card for 11oz of it. There are some things that are inconvenient (long waits, very small parking lot) but it's easy to overlook them once you have a meal at Wooga. Things to know before you go: -Their menu is updated on their website if you want to check that out before you go. -The earlier you go, the better your chance of being seated quickly. Weekends are definitely a longer wait, so plan ahead. -Their parking lot is small so it fills up super quickly, so you'll have to park across the street and play Frogger (maybe you might be too young to know this reference?) to cross the 4 lanes of Palisade Ave. -When you arrive, make sure to check in with the host/hostess so that you could get a pager to know when your table is ready. Your turn can come pretty fast sometimes depending on the timing.

The USDA Prime Rib Finger and Pork Shoulder were both delicious, but I think what makes this Korean BBQ restaurant shine is their accompaniments. That was clear when the Egg Custard came and we devoured it immediately. So fluffy, very eggy, and extremely smooth. In other words, maybe the best version I have had along with Nubiani. The banchans and stews were wonderful too. I know they have a Midtown location, but I still have not been to that branch yet. I hope its quality and service matches this location. I'll check it out soon.

The Meat Bros is an AYCE Korean BBQ spot in Fort Lee & was not too shabby!…read moreIt is $40/pp (including children!) and I thought that for the price, it was very good. Their menu has a variety of different options and our favorites that we tried tonight was the LA galbi , beef brisket, & finger galbi (boneless galbi). I also liked the banchan & salad sides to pair w/ the meats. What wasn't so good was the service. When we arrived to the restaurant and got a table, we were only one of two tables & waited 10 min before we got ahold of someone to order. After ordering, it was pretty difficult to get one of the staff to put in another order of meats, replenish sauces, and some of our food didn't come. For example, we ordered fried calamari & we ended up asking about the status of the fried calamari 4 times lol... eventually came at the END of our meal & mind you, we had ordered another round of meats already & those had came within minutes + the calamari came AFTER we were done grilling everything. Not to mention, for 3 pieces of calamari haha. The service was iffy because we were waving for a staff member to order and just got ignored, luckily we were in no rush to be anywhere. ALSO, if you are planning to bring children, note that no matter how old or how young your kids are, they will be subject to be charged the same $ as an adult. $40/pp for dinner. We had 5 people total, 4 adults 1 child & total was $213 after tax, before tip. So with all this being said in my review, if you're looking for solid AYCE KBBQ, look no further BUT be aware that the service is not the best. AND, they offer sushi here which may seem tempting but I do not recommend. Not very good and looked like supermarket sushi. Just come for bbq meats. Parking: they have a parking lot in the back!

That gave us enough time to have the place to ourselves and order literally everything they could think to serve us. This was easily one of the best KBBQ experiences I've had. The meat cuts were all perfectly marinated and grilled, from the Dry-Aged Pork Belly, to the tender Pork Jowl, to the juicy Marinated Pork Ribs. The Budae Jjigae was savory comfort, and the Shin Ramen Fried Rice was not only abundant, but served in an adorable heart shape. Even the Kimchi Stew and Gyeran-jjim were more umami than the countless counterparts I've had elsewhere. On top of that, we got more ban chan than an attention-starved halmoni hosting her first family reunion in 10 years. Everywhere I pointed my chopsticks, I touched food. It was delightful. If I can ever gather enough people, I'd gladly infest this place again.
