I get along with breakfast like nobody's business, it's my favorite food ever, period. So I'm going to be paying more than the usual attention when I have breakfast somewhere. We were more than ready when friends said let's go to O2 Eatery. Overall it was a very good decision. Parking can always be a challenge on Solano but we "lucked" out this time vs driving all around or a long walk. The ambience inside was spacious enough to not feel cramped and noise levels allowed for easy conversation. The meals came reasonably quickly enough considering they were pretty busy. And the food quality/taste made for smiles and thoughts of afternoon naps in all four of us. We'll be back to O2 when we feel up to a jaunt to Solano Ave again. read more

We were in the neighborhood dropping off donations and wanted to try something new. We found O2 Eatery on Yelp and decided to try it, and yes, we are so happy that we did! When we walked in, we were greeted with a friendly face that gave us the option to choose the table that worked best for us. Looking around, the decor is pretty cool. There is a wall with faux black crocodile skin that makes the screen pop against it. There is another wall with a biophillic backdrop and a neon sign that is really cool to look at. The entire restaurant is really clean, and the hanitizer is available at the front door when you walk in. We ordered the carb sampler, which had French toast, waffles, and a croffle. I ordered the chicken and waffles. I need to order the chicken and waffles again! The chicken was juicy even though it was white meat. The crispy coating on the chicken was light and not greasy. The only thing that would make it better would be to add Frank's Red Hot sauce. For the carb sampler, my partner was in LOVE with the croffle. He said that it was so buttery, and you could still detect the many layers of croissants that were artfully flaky. He also ordered the oat milk latte and said that he must order that again! We can't wait to visit soon and try more dishes! read more

O2 Eatery is a fairly new breakfast, brunch, lunch restaurant. The owner is very warm and friendly along with her staff who are family. The quality of the food and the presentation of it is above average. The ambiance is very mellow and designed well. They just had someone paint a mural on the side wall and the music they play is very relaxing so a great place to bring friends. I would definitely recommend this place. read more

The restaurant was spacious and clean. Server was friendly. The dishes were beautiful, topped with fresh and sweet berries. The crispy chicken was crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside -really good. The waffles were crisp and light. I wasn't really impressed by the croffles, though. It seemed like they just pressed a croissant in a waffle iron, which took away the fluffiness that I expect from a croissant. This was a fun place to catch up with a friend! read more

A normal breakfast/ brunch place except they mix a bit of Japanese/ Hawaiian in there. Teriyaki Salmon (bento) box & a breakfast sandwich thats served like a burger. The slight twist is very nice. read more

Overall, all the food was delicious and the plating was gorgeous. The carb sampler had a perfect amount of everything allowing you to have a bit or two for each. If you have a sweet tooth you'd definitely enjoy this. My favorite was a croffle. It had a slight crunch and was buttery. The toast was perfectly fluffly and the waffle was super crispy. If you love crispy waffles this is for you. The champions bowl was hearty and savory. The potatoes were nice and crisp, but they could've given more meat. My friends rated it a 7-8/10. The food is a bit pricy, but if you have some money to splurge on a good breakfast, definitely check this place out! read more

My friend arrived early on a Sunday to get the table while she waited 10 min for us to park because it got packed! The service was friendly and casual, not slow nor fast but we were planning for staying for quite a while and they didn't mind. I ordered the iced match latte for the cute green bear ice topping and it was good! The menu is Asian inspired and love their various options other than the standard bfast places. The food is good portion, tastes on point, quality and presentation are just so colorful, it is on the pricier side so worth it. I got the carb sampler, love the fruits, and friends got omelette, wanna go back and try the lunch items for sure! read more

Food is great, but service is lacking. They take way too long to clear tables, seat patrons, and take orders. After finally taking your order you have to wait just as long for the food to arrive. And they did t give us any utensils, even after bringing the food out. Ask for your bill early or expect to wait more for the check! I think they need to train the wait staff better or get more employees. Is this why they aren't serving dinner anymore? They can't keep up with the flow of customers. read more

Some of the best brunch I've ever had! Eggs Benedict was very tasty, and the potatoes were done very well. Crispy on the outside, and not too soft on the inside. Long term residents of the area but first time eating here. We had to wait (Monday holiday at 11am so very understandable). Staff was very busy but also very friendly. The place is very comfortable. We sat at the bar and so had a chance to chat with owner and family. The food was....... amazing. A cut above with a variety of things to choose from. While you don't expect much when there is "ramen" on a menu this varied, it totally passed the "ramen expert" adult kid test. I snuck a taste of the dashi and indeed it was yummy. I ordered the Chicken and waffles and , well, I have had none better. Got the 411 and sunday at 8am is the no wait time. Don't know if we will make it that early but we will be back for sure. Nina and I had lunch here again today and we are nothing if not consistent. I didn't reread my reviews, so I didn't remember what I had ordered last time. Nina was seated w/ a pot of English Breakfast tea when I arrived. It was drizzly today so I brought my umbrella in in case it got rainier. I looked at the menu and the breakfast sandwich caught my eye. I had forgotten I had had it last time. This time I had it w/ bacon, again w/ salad. I also ordered a pot of English Breakfast, w/ oat milk and Stevia. I like oat milk, though I'm not lactose intolerant. Nina ordered the avocado toast again, this time w/o the smoked salmon, also w/ salad. When our dishes arrived Nina observed that the salad looked bigger and I think she's right. I cut my sandwich in half and it was so good, warm and comforting, particularly in this weather. Nina pronounced hers perfect and wondered how they have such consistently good avocados. The tea was delicious and, as usual, they had beautiful, delicate serving pieces. There were tiny pitchers of salad dressing, along w/ the teapots and the container of oat milk. The plate my sandwich was on was ceramic and also attractive. Whoever chooses the serving ware has great taste. The prices are remarkably low for the quality of the food. Nina was a little concerned that the place had changed because there was a lighted neon BOBA sign in the window, but was reassured once she stepped inside and saw the O2 Eatery sandwich board. I noticed one of those change of ownership/liquor license application signs in the east corner of the front window and, given Nina's concern, was concerned about that, but when our server stopped by I asked her and she said it was for their liquor license. They will be around for us to return to in the future, and we certainly will. read more

Very amazing home style food, the home style potatoes were so flavorful and tasty. Went on a Sunday so place was pretty packed, but service was quite good, we did have to remind server of cream and water, but to be fair it was pretty packed. Will definitely go back when I am in town and definitely recommend this place. read more

Not to sound like an alcoholic but I only gave 4-stars because I think it would be nice to have a mimosa or Bloody Mary with brunch BUT they do serve boba with your breakfast! This definitely a place for families and older folks who like to have morning chats and breakfast. Other than that, food was spectacular. We got the egg breakfast with chicken apple sausage and my bf got the smoke bacon eggs benedict. He really liked it and wants to come back again to have it. The chimichurri on the breakfast potatoes is also such a game changer. I want to come back and try something off the sweeter side of the menu, I have a feeling it'll good. The place is clean and cute, and you can choose where you sit. I really liked the aura and vibe of this place, it's relaxing. Service was very pleasant and I was happy with it. For as many times as they asked if I wanted a refill for my coffee, I should've just said yes. Great attentiveness though! Lol read more

I was looking for a new place to try and happened upon this. Loved everything about it. The staff was friendly, helpful and efficient. The decor was clean yet cozy. There were quite a few families there with young children/infants. The food was wonderful. I had their spam fried rice w/ egg. I liked the addition of diced sweet potato along with the spam. My daughter had avocado toast (comes with a green side salad) on gluten-free bread...lovely. I was tempted to take one of their cute coffee spoons, but didn't. Their mango tea was so nice and refreshing. I forgot to order toppings (included in price). I plan to visit again to try some of the other items on the menu. read more

There is no shortage of brunch/breakfast spots on Solano Ave, but O2 is a nice addition. The menu has lots of standard brunch / breakfast items like scrambles, toasts and griddle items, but many of them have unique twists. I ordered the avocado toast which came with a spicy mayo, giving the toast a nice kick. They also have boba, and we ordered the black sesame coconut latte with boba. Yum. We didn't order the French toast or waffles, but they are impressive-looking. Next time! read more

Local restaurant. My go-to place for breakfast. Food is good. Generous portions. Coffee is perfect. Free parking if you're willing to walk a block. I like to sit by the windows because I like to read. But the two big tables by the window are reserved for big parties. Suggestion: replace one of the big tables with two smaller tables. read more

In short, this place is the best hidden gem in the entire Bay Area. A must try family owned spot. For those wondering why, let me explain. We ordered the egg avocado toast (I subbed the side salad with potatoes) and an order of the California omelette. The potatoes were fantastic! They had a nice subtle crunch with the right amount of seasoning that made them binge worthy. The avocado toast was made using acme bread and was toasted perfectly. The only critique was that it was a bit too much spinach for my tastes but otherwise it was a nice light breakfast. The star of the show was the California omelet. While I normally don't like mushrooms, it was absolutely delicious. My boyfriend finished his plate and instantly wanted to plan a return trip to try another gem off the menu. This was our favorite breakfast experience in Berkeley this past weekend. Situated in a pleasant and calm neighborhood, it provides a laid back environment for some amazing food. We were offered a table within minutes on a Sunday a bit before noon. The Tapatio on the tables was a pleasant sign that this place serves customers that like flavor (you'd be surprised at how we saw the contrary this past weekend). The avocado toast was delicious, flavorful, and did not skimp on the avocado. My son's chicken and waffles by his account were perfectly breaded with juicy chicken. Hubby's bacon Benedict was not only beautifully presented but delicious. Tea selection is respectable. Hubby said the coffee was really good. Would return in an instant. read more

Parking in central meter with credit card. Max time is 2 hours. We started about 1:30pm and left about 3:00pm so you may need max time. Food was well presented and overall tasted very good and good portion. Eggs Benedict was very good and nice portion. The omelet was very good, eggs at this writing, is still expensive at grocery so maybe a good value. Pork Ramen tasted good, bone broth and Ramen noodles. Classic cheese hamburger with fries is better than fast food, hot, and came with lettuce, tomato, red onions & pickles. Bun had O2 branded as an extra home made touch. You can pick out what you do or do not like. Service a little slow, but I think they wanted to cook food perfect for each entree. Overall, 5 stars out of 5 stars. read more

Delicious brunch spot in the bay! The restaurant itself is clean and so are the bathrooms. Its nice and airy, also very bright inside. The service was great and they were very sweet. Our waiter explained everything we asked for nicely. Everything we ordered was honestly a 10/10. The portions are very good and enough to share. How about a vegan option? It's hard to eat out for breakfast when you don't eat eggs. Tofu scramble? Eggless waffle? Soyrizzo?

So my daughter called again, left a VM explaining we couldn't come in person due to time constraints, and again asked for a quote. No reply. We waited a few days and called again. No reply. Finally we got a voicemail from the owner saying that she didn't like my daughter's attitude ?!!! Our experience at Eatery was nothing short of disheartening. Upon arrival, we were seated promptly, but from that moment onward, we were entirely disregarded. No server came by to greet us, no water was offered, and not even the most minimal acknowledgment of our presence was extended. We sat for a full twenty minutes in a state of utter neglect, watching staff move about as though we were invisible. Ultimately, we had no choice but to leave, super disappointed that a restaurant with such promise could demonstrate such a staggering lapse in the most basic tenets of hospitality.
